About this property
Lovely Private Sunny Cabin Home With Woods, Meadow and Wildlife. Pet friendly.
This lovely home on nearly 4 acres in the country, yet close to town, provides the perfect place to relax from all your daily duties in the real world. It was built in 1998 and was recently remodeled with an updated cabin vibe. The downstairs includes the master and guest bedrooms and one bathroom that is accessible outside the master bedroom. The master bath features a shower, sink and toilet in a separate space from an additional sink in its own space, so two can get ready at one time. There is a mudroom with a stacked washer/dryer unit on this level. The upstairs open floor plan with wall-to-wall windows offers a great perch from which to view the visiting Elk and Bald Eagles that frequent the area, while you dine, read, or enjoy wine on the deck. The kitchen is well appointed with appliances for preparing food for dining in. This level offers a second bath with a jetted tub, and a view of the forest while you relax and soak. Additionally there is a small sitting room with views of the walking paths through the woods, which can double as an extra bedroom for two people. Walk the woods, stroll the garden or entertain on the upper deck or lower patio in this peaceful quiet place you will not want to leave. When you do leave for food or entertaining activities, you are only a short mile and a half drive or bicycle ride from many restaurants, shops, the art gallery and farmer's market just to name a few. Additionally the area has wonderful bike paths, community theater, The Voice of America Dungeness Recreation Area and The Spit, Railroad Bridge Park, John Wayne Marina, The Olympic Game Farm, and the Seven Cedars Casino.

This was a great pet-friendly space and our dogs loved the fenced in yard! The house felt very secluded and it was very peaceful. Thank you for letting us stay!
Enjoyed the stay. The location was good for our trip since main purpose was to ride the ODT. Enjoyed the secluded location and mountain views. House was clean, well supplied, and host was very easy to contact and responsive.
The house was definitely comfortable, clean and in a great location. Only a few minutes to downtown Sequim, and hiking trails. The yard was fenced in so the goldens had a chance to enjoy running and being on the grass.

Thank you for your nice review and glad the weather held out for your special trip.
Communication was great with this property. Host was very responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed the remote location - saw a couple mule deer while we were there. This worked well for a short trip to Olympic National Park and a ferry trip to Canada from Port Angeles.
The location of the property is stunning. The house is well maintained in all aspects. David, the host was extremely kind and responsive to all our questions. I highly recommend this property.
The property is very quiet, great home base for exploring the seaside towns and Pacific National Park. The resident eagle and deer were wonderful additions
Aug 2026 - The owners of this charming home have spent a lot of time designing a lovely, tranquil, comfortable home for their guests. They pay attention to small details. The house was one of the cleanest we've ever rented, which means a lot to "clean freaks" like us! It felt like a sanctuary. We enjoyed the quiet setting, but it is close enough to Sequim and Port Angeles for groceries, restaurants and activities. It is a very safe area, which was important to my husband. This is a great property. Highly recommend!
Great private location. Very clean with lots of extras to include kitchen staples like butter, salt and pepper, ice maker, shampoo, and baggies. Good spot to access Olympic National Park!
Everything about our stay was perfect. We were in Sequim for the Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club dog show and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed racing around the back yard. Even the laundry room was lovely, with sliding glass doors that open to different sides of the beautiful garden. The blooming lavender and poppies were gorgeous and we took pictures of our dogs in front of them. We humans enjoyed the view eating on the deck and the well equipped kitchen and pantry. We had plans to wander around Sequim visiting the lavender fields, but instead we stayed "home" because it was so pleasant and relaxing at this house.

It was a joy to have you as guests and thank you for your comments. We too also think of this place as paradise.
Very comfortable house and private. Beautiful view from deck where we did see deer but, unfortunately, no elk. The house is about 1 1/2 miles from Sequim so we able to bike back and forth with e- bikes we rented from Ben's Bikes. E-bikes made the climb up the hill very easy. We did a fair amount of biking on the Olympic Discovery Trail which is about 2 miles from house. Also biked out to Dungeness Nature Refuge. This was a nice adventure for us.

E-bikes are great way to see the area and travel the Discovery Trail with all it’s natural beauty.
David was a very welcoming, and accommodating host. The house is on a beautiful piece of property that is far enough from town to feel peaceful, but close enough to be convenient. It is a perfect place for a getaway to relax or explore the Sequim area.
