When you visit Villa Es Voltor Negre for the first time, you will be amazed by the exclusive character of this well-kept villa and its wonderful secluded location. The main building has a huge, rough stone portico which houses the covered terrace area under its massive arches and pillars. There is also a stone tower accessible via a staircase, although this structure is purely decorative in nature. On a tall pillar in the garden, a sculpture depicting a bird appears to be watching over the villa. From the terrace, an elaborately paved area leads through a carefully planned green space with palm trees of varying heights and typical Mediterranean flowering plants to the securely fenced pool area. A sun terrace surrounds the pool. Up here there is enough space for eight light blue aluminium sun loungers and two parasols to provide shade when needed. In the pool area you will notice another stone building with double doors to the pool. It has a barbecue and an outdoor kitchen as well as a bathroom (which of course comes in handy after a dip in the pool). In the centre of this great little party house is a long dining table where you and your friends can enjoy the rustic atmosphere while you plan your barbecue. Another outdoor dining area is located under the stone arches of the portico and just outside the main kitchen. Out here there is also a lounge area with comfortable wicker furniture and another table, this one with a mosaic surface and an oriental flair. A few selected sculptures placed here and there lend the outdoor area an impressive ambience that emphasises the exclusive character of the villa.







A heavy, antique wooden portal leads into the foyer of this stately villa. Walls of rough stone, curved elliptical arches and a staircase of dark marble bear witness to the villa's classical tenor. An opening in the stone wall leads into the living room, which is furnished with a light-coloured sofa set and a modern LCD TV. A chandelier and a heavy wooden grandfather clock lend the entire ensemble a rather stately character, and a set of wood-framed sliding doors leads into the kitchen, which opens onto the terrace. The large farmhouse kitchen with wooden cupboards and a round table and chairs is fully equipped to provide you with all the amenities you are used to on holiday. Two of the villa's four bedrooms are located on the ground floor. One of the bedrooms will amaze you with its stately decor full of Mallorcan tradition, including an ornate coffered ceiling, a hand-turned bedstead and a beautiful country-style wardrobe. All this against the backdrop of a light-coloured marble wall, for a simply majestic effect. The three other bedrooms are also unique in design and furnishings: one has a cosy four-poster bed, another has a wrought iron double bed and the last has two modern, white single beds, making it an ideal room for the children. The two air-conditioned bedrooms, one on each level, are shown in the pictures with the numbers 3336. Each floor has a luxurious bathroom with brown marble and other elegant, nostalgic details. The stately black marble staircase leads past a round stained glass window to the two bedrooms on the upper floor. One of the bedrooms upstairs has a custom-made stained glass window with a maritime motif and a view of the staircase, which is somewhat reminiscent of the large windows of a church. Both bedrooms on the upper floor have access to a sun terrace, where you can enjoy the view of the gently rolling landscape with a hot cup of coffee in the morning. Overall, the exterior and interior areas of the villa are designed in a very sophisticated, very classic style, which gives Es Voltor Negre its extraordinary character and elegance.



This pretty little castle is dominated by its medieval battlements and the pilgrimage church of Sant Salvador on the hill of the town, a landmark that is also known far beyond the borders of Artà. As the local motorway is also nearby, you can easily reach other towns in the area, such as Portocolom with its natural harbour or the seaside resort of Cala Ratjada with its numerous bars and nightclubs. And you can reach the beautiful beaches of the east coast just as quickly by car, either along the bay of Alcúdia to the north or the Calas de Mallorca to the east of the villa. In these places, you also have the choice between well-developed sandy beaches with many leisure activities or completely deserted natural beaches. And when you return to the exclusive Villa Es Voltor Negre after a long day of fun and discovery, you can enjoy the exquisite atmosphere of this opulent setting with a glass of excellent Mallorcan red wine in your hand, all at a rather modest price. Villa Es Voltor Negre is located close to the beautiful medieval town of Artà, yet in the countryside and yet secluded. Walk into Artà to buy groceries and other necessities, or visit the lovely weekly market that takes place there on Tuesdays in the Plaça del Conqueridor. Artà also offers a good selection of cafés, restaurants and nice shops. With your hire car, you can reach the beaches on the east coast and the bay of Alcúdia after a short drive.
