About this property
Awesome home in Alcudia with WiFi
Are you looking for something special in a place that offers both urban life and the sea, medieval and modern, excitement and tranquillity? Fincallorca would like to present Esglesia 10, an architectural masterpiece located in the oldest neighbourhood of Alcúdia, not far from the Catholic church. You will be living in old stones in both senses of the word, as this modern and tastefully furnished house is located both within the massive city walls and inside and outside with impressive historic stonework. Here you will become an (old) city dweller, strolling peacefully through the streets steeped in history, where you can still find plenty of Mallorcan tradition. For your morning breakfast or a little nightcap, you can sit in the sheltered, planted patio with access to the separate living and sleeping areas. It's worth noting that it's best to leave the car 150 metres away in the car park near the church, as it's easy to get lost in the winding narrow streets.
As soon as you enter the front door, you can immediately sink into the soft cushions and take a deep breath after a day of shopping, sightseeing or at the beach. The open-plan space with its high ceilings, old brickwork and imposing staircase to the first floor runs up to the courtyard opposite and is reminiscent of an artist's loft. It always makes an excellent first impression. From here you can also access the kitchen with its vaulted roof (and a door to the outdoor dining area). It's not only perfect for cooking, but also chic enough for an extended wine tasting after a visit to Inca. The two cosy bedrooms on the first floor, one with antique furniture and a thoroughly regal double bed, share a shower room. Two further guests can be accommodated independently in the two-storey mini-apartment with shower room (but no kitchen) on the other side of the courtyard. Downstairs you will find a sofa and upstairs a large double bed with a chair next to the window and a long pine walk-in wardrobe. You can meet in the centre to eat together, although the separate houses allow for privacy and independence.
Alcúdia and Pollença are two popular small towns with harbours, palm-fringed promenades and a choice of beaches. Your dream holiday can come true here - both towns are perfect for strolling and relaxing as well as for water sports activities. The old town of Alcúdia will transport you into the colourful history of the island and the large promenade of Pollença is one of the most beautiful on Mallorca. The rugged Formentor peninsula attracts more than just celebrities with its Hollywood charm, secluded bays, rugged cliffs and breathtaking views. The Cap lighthouse shows you the way! Many visitors to Alcúdia may have missed the Sa Bassa Blanca Museum, which is located nearby and boasts extraordinary works of art, a rose garden and Moorish façades. No wonder, because the two badias to the left and right conceal so many beautiful beaches ...
This exceptional property is located right in the centre of the historic, almost traffic-calmed old town of the medieval town of Alcúdia. Shops, cafés and restaurants are right on the doorstep. Pollença, 12 km away, is an ideal starting point for hikes through the Serra de Tramuntana (and offers much more). Two badias offer beaches for you; the leather and wine town of Inca offers a slice of urban life, just half an hour's drive away.
