In winter, the area turns into a popular winter sports destination. Just15 kilometers away is Bad Kleinkirchheim, with 103 kilometers of well-prepared pistes and modern lifts, suitable for families and avid skiers. The Gerlitzen Alpe is also quickly accessible (approx. 13 km); this sunny ski area offers 50-55 kilometers of slopes and beautiful views of the Alps, suitable for every level of ability.

The beautiful lake Afritzer See in the heart of Carinthia is known for its clear water and relaxed atmosphere.
