Lovely house near center, very convenient for our conference stay in Anchorage, very cosy house, felt home from the first moment, we were so happy that we chose it instead of a hotel
Everything good with this property, we have enjoyed three stays in last seven years. Very convenient to downtown and other attractions. Well equipped, clean and quiet. What else could you ask for?
The manager is very kind and quick to reply to messages, does her best to help us resolve our personal problems. Check in and check out procedures were clear and given in a timely manner. The home is comfortable and feels like coming home. The beds are super comfortable.
I've stayed in this property a couple of times now during work trips. It's super convenient for downtown, a very clean/modern space and has all the amenities I was looking for. The only complaint I had after my first stay was that the blinds in the master bedroom didn't block enough light. I told the host and she had it fixed for my next visit! I will definitely be back :)
We had an extended stay with a family member receiving medical care. It could not have been a better experience. The location was excellent and within easy reach of our needs. The house was nicely furnished and set up. Check-in and check-out took minimal effort. Cherie was easy to reach and responded in a timely manner to questions. I felt like I had a local friend during a difficult time. I can’t comment on warm weather activities, but I would think it would be a great location based on the area. In winter, at least, the neighborhood was quiet. Even saw a mamma moose and her calf strolling down the street one night!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Mixed feelings about this property.
The pros: The location was great for walking downtown and not needing a car. The neighborhood was nice. It was quiet at night. The owners responded quickly to all communications. Check in was easy and the unit was ready early for our arrival.
The cons: The kitchen was not as clean as we would have liked (specifically the stove). There were not as many ‘supplies’ as we found in other rentals in Alaska. The listing itself on Vrbo was misleading, which led to some communication confusion. The Vrbo listing does not mention that the property is an apartment, or that there is a door connecting the two ground level living spaces - much like a hotel will do between rooms. The noise from the other apartment carried through the door as if that person was in the room with us. We could hear every conversation and every word when someone stood near that door. We also realized that there is another unit - at least one - below ground - and we could hear people traveling up and down those stairs. Not sure if the voices we heard so loud were from the stairwell or next apartment. Check out was not difficult but it was a little more extensive than some places we stayed. We also thought that the warnings that we were being watched with cameras to ensure we didn’t violate guest policies to be a bit … much. But I suppose it’s possible bad experiences in the past may have inspired such statements.
Overall it suited our needs and was a last minute booking, so our options were limited.
Convenient to marketplace, downtown, and Egan center. Easy check in. Basic two bedroom that worked well as a hub for getting out to bike and hike Anchorage.
Property was great. Our friends stayed in basement apartment below us, which worked well. Place was walking distance to a few parks, which was nice for our kids. We could also walk to downtown and the nearby grocery store. We would stay there again.
Located in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown.

Nice, comfortable property
There is a 2-hour limit on weekday parking (8am-5pm) which might affect you but otherwise there is plenty of street parking. There is a small chronic sound, kind of like a toy rooster that might be the refrigerator? It's not too loud but sensitive folks should be aware that it won't be too quiet. A nice kitchen set up (but wash and put away all dishes before leaving instead of the standard "start the dishwasher upon leaving"). Plenty of supplies for cooking.

Thanks for your honest feedback. For others viewing this, this is for our executive suite which has since been broken into it's own listing to separate reviews and bookings. Street parking is allowed for residents out in front of our place and I'll make a better effort to communicate that parking there is not an issue since we have a permit. I'll also look into the toy rooster sound and if it's the fridge then it should be fixed when we up-size the fridge this summer. Thanks for the info and for staying with us!

The best traveling nurse spot I've found yet!
We stayed 3 months near providence in one of their rentals they reserve for traveling nurses. They were very easy to work with to get the invoices in the right format for reimbursement and the place was perfect with a huge private back yard and right down the street from Moose's tooth!

Great place and great fishing tips!
It was great to be able to walk to the Brew House for dinner and the next morning be able to walk to the downtown market. Very friendly owners and have a real passion for fishing. We will be back for more fishing and more stories!

Comfortable and Prime Location for Activities
Tim and Lily did an amazing job making me and my husband feel welcome on our trip to Alaska. We stayed with them while we were in Anchorage and were very pleased with the location and the apartment. They are located Downtown which made it very easy to walk to restaurants and local cafes. The apartment is very comfortable and clean! Looking at how much hotels in the area cost, we were very happy to have found Tim and Lily's place for such a reasonable price. I would definitely stay with them again on our next trip up.

Very accomodating with lots of rental connections in town
Tim & Lily helped find our whole wedding party a place to stay throughout multiple properties. We appreciated the help and the flexibility to check off a major item that was turning into a nightmare when trying to find available hotels at a reasonable cost. Highly recommend booking with them and even if they are booked already asking them about their other properties that are in their circle.

Prime Fur Rondy Location Downtown
Just close enough to the events to walk to but far enough to escape the crowds and noise after you're done. Great place!

Thanks for the review and we are glad you had a great time!
Came to Anchorage for business and normally use hotels. Glad we went out of our comfort zone and booked this property. It is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants and coffee houses. The apartment was very well appointed, quite large, and offered everything we needed and more. We really appreciated how comfortable Tim and Lily made us feel and how willing they were to share their knowledge of the area. Especially liked the fishing stories! Nice people! So much so that we are hoping to reserve with them later this summer. This place was a great find and we would recommend it to anyone travelling to Anchorage.

We loved our stay in this rental.
WOW! This was our 6th trip to the state and we had only stayed in hotels until now. This unit by far surpassed the accommodations of any high end hotel downtown. The unit is well appointed with comfortable beds, seating, linens and appliances. The space is larger than appears in the photographs and very roomy for four guests. The rental is in a quiet neighborhood 15 minuets walking distance to the heart of downtown Anchorage and easy access to the main roads going out of the city. The yard well groomed with a nice setting area th enjoy the endless days. Tim and Lily were gracious hosts and reflect the best of Alaskan hospitality. We will stay here on our next trip and yes I would reccommend this to a friend.

Very satisfied New Yorkers in Anchorage for Summer Solstice
We decided to rent this unit from Tim instead of a traditional hotel set up. We couldn't have been any happier w/the accommodations. It was within walking distance to shops and restaurants and the start of the Mayor's Midnight Sun Half Marathon, which was important to us since we didn't rent a car. Taxis were very easy to get and always came quickly. We rented bikes to take on the Coastal trail from Pablo's, we also had many good meals at Humpy's a local spot for good food and fun. The unit was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. We were able to enjoy some relaxation time in the backyard as well, as there were some lawn chairs for us to sit on. Alaska exceeded my expectations all around. I knew it was a beautiful state, but now I can recommend the visit to friends and family.. and I'd recommend they stay in this unit. Tim and Lily were very accommodating.

My husband and I grew up in all of the wonder and beauty of Alaska. We met while attending college in Anchorage. I loved salsa dancing. He pretended to love salsa dancing. The rest is history.
We are avid fly fishers and enjoy spending much of our summers camping and hiking with our two 'furbabies', Delilah and Steeler.
What makes this property unique
Location, location, location! This property is beautiful and could not be in a better location. Renters have the luxury of being in the heart of Downtown Anchorage while still being able to enjoy all of the things that attract people to visit Alaska. It's the best of both worlds!
