This home featured many touches that make it a welcoming home away from home. The fully equipped kitchen and other special touches were so very appreciated. It is meticulously kept and has so many clever places to store one's things. The view from the balcony provided a nice place for morning coffee and a nice place to relax in the evening. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and down to Sprouts, the local grocery. This property's location is very convenient to San Diego and the surrounding area. Definitely a "DO-OVER!"

This is probably the best house rental we've ever had. The house is extremely clean, everything works flawlessly, and the location/view is amazing. Carla is communicative and very generous, providing fresh flowers and abundant food to make you feel at home.

Relaxing stay

We had a great, relaxing stay in La Mesa. Just a short drive to downtown and other great San Diego spots. Everything was well kept and they even gave us snacks (a whole cherry pie) upon check in!

Perfect location in the hills!

Carla was wonderful to work with. The place was clean, accommodating and exactly in a perfect location for our travels. Beds were very comfortable and the space was fully equipped with everything we needed for a 6 day stay for my son's wedding. Would definitely recommend.

Great Place

It was a very nice place and clean. The owners are great! They had snacks and desserts waiting on our arrival. She was also kind enough to ship my daughters rings that she left back to us. The neighborhood was nice and quite too. I would stay here again.

Loved, loved, loved our stay here! Carla is an amazing host. From the personal check-in to the immaculately clean home to the welcome snacks, pie, and flowers to the comfortable accommodations with a stunning view, this is the absolute best VRBO experience we have ever had! We had everything we needed plus some. Carla was great about communicating and was a gracious and generous host.The views are amazing, and the home is pretty centrally located to anything you want to do in San Diego. We hope to come back to San Diego in the future, and when we do, this home will be our pick for lodging!

Windsor Hill Gem

We stayed for 5 nights at Carla & John's home and were thankful for all the extras that were provided. Owners are very detailed and friendly. It was our first time staying in La Mesa and we loved it. The Village is great, be sure to have a meal at Sheldon's Service Station.

Great place to enjoy San Diego

This home is really a jewel! After a busy day at the beach or sightseeing, it was wonderful to return to this beautiful, quiet, comfortable home. The owners have provided everything you need, even things you wouldn't expect like beach towels and chairs. La Mesa is a great, little town convenient to almost everything in San Diego. We've stayed in many places in San Diego and this was the best.

Great view and perfect for relaxing!

Right from the beginning from the great unobstructed view all the way to the coast, and a very clean updated house made our visit wonderful. To top it off, Carla our host, had all sorts of treats and fresh fruit and muffins waiting for us. There was plenty room for two couples and we enjoyed sitting on a nice deck enjoying a morning coffee or watching a gorgeous sunset. We travel to La Mesa often and will definitely want to stay here again!

Beautiful view & immaculately clean.

Carla met us at check-in and showed us the house. She had a wonderful apple pie for us along with lots of fresh fruit and other snacks. The bed was very comfy and the entire house is very comfortable and clean. The view during the day or night is wonderful! We would definitely stay here again! Carla is a wonderful host!!! Highly recommend!!

Family wedding

Truly a Jewel!

A wonderful home with lovely furnishings, immaculately cleaned, with everything one could possibly need. Carla met us at the house to familiarize us with everything, even providing a pie, banana bread, fruit, coffee, bottled water, and a snack basket. Comfortable bed, great towels, all the comforts of home are here! We hope to stay here again.

Perfect!

This house was perfect for our party of 8, with 2 young people sharing a room with their parents. The location made it easy to get everywhere in San Diego quickly (and the grocery store was 3 minutes away), and the house itself was beautifully cared for. Beds were all comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Carla had some goodies waiting for us and we felt truly welcomed. We highly recommend this property!

Home Away From Home

Absolutely nothing has been spared to make sure that the you have a “home away from home” when you stay in this lovely place! Comfortable beds, quality linens and towels, the most well stocked kitchen, beautiful decor and so much more make this the perfect place to stay. Carla, the gracious owner, greeted us with a sweet smile and a delicious apple pie. She also had coffee, snacks and fruit waiting for us. Everything you could possibly want is in this jewel of a home! Best place I have ever rented on VRBO!
