Calvin was a pleasure to work with. He was extremely responsive to any questions I had. The rental was impeccable and very well appointed. It was really nice to have a outside balcony to sit out on. The apartment is in a extremely desirable neighborhood and walkable to lots of restaurants and shops. It is also walkable to the Hop On/Hop Off bus. I would rent this apartment again if I get back to NOLA. Thanks Calvin
We loved-- I mean really LOVED-- the VRBO. Perfect for two couples-- nice bedrooms and clean bathrooms. The location has access to a number of close restaurants and bars. The St. Charles tram is a short walk away -- providing quick access to downtown. Calvin was a fantastic host-- highly recommend.
We loved this property in the Garden District! It was the perfect home base for our long weekend exploring New Orleans. Calvin is an excellent host and super fast to respond to any questions. We would stay here again next time we come to town.
We were so sad to leave this place. It was perfect for us 4. So comfortable, clean and a great/easy location to get into the French Quarter. The host was also fantastic! We will be planning on going back in the next year or so this was the best NYE!
Property is spacious, clean and in a great location. Short walk to many places to eat and shop as well as the trolley line. Host was fantastic. Really enjoyed relaxing on the balcony after our various activities.

Immaculate & Accessible
Beautiful & bright location in a funky neighborhood with great access to everything you'd want to do in NOLA.. Calvin was a great host - very accomodating.. Everyone in our group would highly recommend this spot.
This home is a beautiful old home. It was great to sit on the balcony every morning having coffee and reading. Calvin was a fantastic host, he was very accommodating and had several suggestions for us. We fell in love with the city and hope to be back.
My husband and I loved our stay in this bright, spacious apartment with its cool vibe conveniently located in the lower Garden District. It was very clean, well appointed, and had all the bells and whistles we were looking for to enjoy an exciting weekend in New Orleans. Easy walking distance to restaurants, cafes, and shopping (mostly vintage clothing stores but some other cool boutique shops as well). The owner was very friendly and easy to communicate with, and we had zero issues or questions during our stay. Thank you, Calvin!
Great place to relax between short trips in all directions enjoying variety of daytime and nighttime dining and exploring. First time to the WWII Museum and it was a significant experience. Enjoyed a comfortable view of the staging and startup of the St. Patrick's "week?" parade from the balcony. All good from our point of view!
The apartment was the perfect place for two friends to stay while exploring New Orleans. The space was beautiful, open, and very comfortable. The floor to ceiling windows let in so much light during the day and the balcony was the perfect spot to have a glass of wine in the evening. We loved being near restaurants and shops on Magazine Street and the St. Charles streetcar was a short walk through the neighborhood. Calvin was easy to work with and a fantastic host. We look forward to coming back to stay in the future!

~A hidden gem~
This was a perfect peaceful place. My friends and I had a very nice weekend. The owner was very nice and helpful. It wasn't too far but also wasn't too close. So when we were done for the night it was total peace and serenity. Everything was as described in the pics. Even better in person. Really enjoyed the view from the balcony. I will return again! Thanks for everything Mr J.
Historic place in great location and wonderful host
We're digital nomads, and this was our first time spending more than a weekend in New Orleans. This apartment was perfect for our needs - spacious, clean, and comfortable, with good wifi, multiple workspaces, and off-street parking. As a bonus, it's in a building designed by noted architect Henry Howard, with 12ft ceilings and a wide balcony - tons of authentic New Orleans character!
We appreciated the charming decor, comfortable bed, and well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms. We loved the location in the Lower Garden District, amidst historic homes on tree-lined residential streets, and an easy walk to numerous restaurants and shops on Magazine St. We were just 5 blocks from the St. Charles streetcar and 1 mile from The Fresh Market. The host, Calvin, was very responsive and accommodating - one of the most helpful hosts we've ever had. Five stars all around!

Exceeded expectations, host very attentive, perfect location
Stayed with my wife and a friend. Honestly completely felt what it would be like to live in the Big Easy, better experience then a hotel/resort. Beautiful place, nicely put together with attention to detail. Excellent neighborhood. We are active so walked a lot it was only a 30-45 minute walk to tourist areas, bourbon street, etc. and not scary at all. Great cafes and restaurants within 1/2 mile to mile of condo (on Magazine St.) cool balcony above intersection to chill at and people watch. When we did cab or uber, it was only 5-13 dollars anywhere we went. Lots of coffee options if you choose around the condo. Was so amazed at how friendly everyone was, everywhere, not once experienced any rudeness in our adventures throughout and we also went out in our Seahawks gear one of the days to go to the game, which was great even in a close loss. We would love to visit again, especially on Halloween again, and would want to stay at this exact same place!
This rental was perfect for two couples. We loved the historic charm with the modern convinces. Sitting out on the balcony for morning coffee and watching the traffic go by or reading a good book was the perfect way to start the day. In the evening we would sit out there and talk about our days adventures.
The kitchen had everything we needed and was very clean. The beds were comfortable and the closets were set up nicely for those staying short term. There was even a laundry basket in the closet, something I had never seen before but came in very handy to store our dirty clothes before washing them in the provided washer and dryer.
The location was wonderful, we were steps away from the bus stop (1.25 per rider) and an easy walk to the St. Charles trolly. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. We were there for New Year’s Eve and could see the fireworks going off from down town and a couple of other places as well.
I really cannot think of anything negative to say about this property. We would diffently stay there again.
We are very glad we rented this VRBO from Calvin. He is an excellent and responsive host. We did not need to contact him during our actual time in the apartment because everything was as described in the listing and in very good working order.
The apartment was in a great location and an easy walk to the streetcar which took us to the edge of the French Quarter for just $1.25 per person. The off street parking Calvin was able to arrange for us was a significant value add to staying here. There are plenty of restaurants and shops within a short walk.
The apartment was very clean and had all the amenities we desired. The kitchen was well stocked for our needs, beds and pillows were super comfortable and the living room provided lots of seating where we could relax after a long day in town. We also enjoyed the outside terrace where we could watch the world go by. We even saw a wedding parade/procession on the street below!
This is one of the best VRBO's we have stayed in and would absolutely return as well as recommend it to family and friends.
I have used the VRBO service in Paris, Rome, and Tuscany,. Calvin by far has been the most pleasant, professional, and
clear communicator I have ever dealt with. The apartment in the Lower Garden Distric overlooking Magazine street was beautiful, sooo well stocked and in a great location. I recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in the New Irleans area.
This property was within walking distance of some great local restaurants and shops. The accommodations looked and felt like New Orleans culture. Calvin was an excellent host and was very responsive the couple of times I needed to contact him.
Loved our stay at this property. We were in New Orleans during a brutal heat wave and the first thing I want to mention is how well the air conditioning works! Every time we walked in the door, we all let out a collective "ahhh". This property was perfect for two couples, well-located on Magazine with restaurants nearby, just a few blocks from the streetcar on St Charles and right on the edge of the Garden District. A couple of times, at night, there was loud traffic noise on Magazine, but frankly, that's just New Orleans.
This place was exactly as pictured. It was spacious and perfect for 4 adults. The location was great. There were several restaurants within walking distance and it was just a short car drive to the French Quarter. It was a quiet neighborhood. The balcony was great to people watch! The owner, Calvin was great with communication!
The place was beautiful, roomy, very clean and the location was perfect!

Why they chose this property
LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION! Centrally located and only a few blocks off streetcar line. The building is a thoughtfully renovated historic building constructed in the 1850's. It offers guests the experience of the large proportion spaces 12ft high ceilings, 10 ft high doors and windows with the modern comforts of central air and heat. The balcony is a comfortable place to relax and overlook the streetscape of the park and Magazine Street.
What makes this property unique
The property is located in the heart of the Lower Garden District neighborhood where the historic neighborhood and the Magazine Street commercial shopping corridor intersect. Visitors can truly experience a local lifestyle while enjoying the comforts of a well renovated 19th century building. The property has an amazing balcony overlooking Sophie Wright Park. Off street parking is available if needed but not necessary due to close the proximity to many city attractions (WWII Museum, Warehouse District/Downtown, Convention Center, and Uptown neighborhoods). The property is within walking distance to the French Quarter. The owner, a New Orleans native, is accessible and a valuable resource to help enhance your travel experience.
