My friend and I stayed at the cabin for a couple of days and really enjoyed ourselves. It was a great place and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a nice quiet place to stay..
The cottage is adorable and very comfortable. The managers have made sure you have everything you need to be cozy and relaxed. I could sit on the deck forever just watching the water lapping at the shore. This was an excellent place to stay.

Early May Vacay
Overall, our stay at the Snug Harbor Inn - Port Cottage is just what my husband and I needed. The size of the cottage was perfect for us and our 2 dogs. There was enough yard space to relax and unwind with a spectacular sunset view. With it being early spring, the bugs were not a bother in comparison to other areas of the peninsula. We did have an encounter with a mouse during our stay, but it did not affect our satisfaction with our visit overall.
A perfect little home base for our Door Co exploration. Easy to get to & from anywhere we wanted to go. The isolated & waterfront location was such a treat, so quiet and beautiful when just wanted to relax and watch the sunset at the end of the day.
This is an awesome place to rest and relax. If your not looking to be busy sight seeing this is your place. It’s as exactly as the pictures show. There parks to hike within a short drive if you need to get out.

Fantastic Waterfront Cottage
Loved hearing the water lapping against the rocks from the deck or from inside the cottage. Fantastic location to view pelicans, sea gulls, and fishing boats on the bay. We enjoyed the grill, campfire circle, and deck outside and the full, amazingly well equipped kitchen inside. This was a good location for our bike trips. We had a wonderful stay.
Clean and quiet and everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away from the stresses of everyday life. Woke to nothing but the sound of the waves splashing against the shoreline. So serene. Can't wait to visit again. Location was perfect for us. Close enough to everything we wanted to do but yet not right in the middle of it all!!!
We overall enjoyed our stay here over the holidays— the views out the window of the icy lake were so relaxing and the fire was so cozy. My only complaint was that roofers were working on the cabin (same owner as our cabin) 10 yards from us at 7:30am on Christmas Eve— we were pretty annoyed to be woken up by this and wish we had a heads up from the property owners. We stayed out the whole day instead of enjoying the cabin we paid for to escape the noise! When I called the office to complain there was no apology— they apparently weren’t awareThe roofers were going to be there during our stay which I find a bit hard to believe. This is a cute place but the lack of hospitality left a bad taste in my mouth.
I loved this cabin and the view was beautiful. The sunsets were right outside my door. It was quiet and relaxing. Just what I needed. It does not have internet which I expected. It did not have cell service which could be my carrier. I was able to work around not having cell service so it turned out fine. It was well supplied with coffee and dish soup etc. I will definitely be back. Thank you, Snug Harbor,!

Location was great! At checkin we were given a key that didn’t work. Luckily worker on other cabin helped by calling and given code that we weren’t given, just a bad key. Didn’t know we would be sharing cottage with an infestation of earwigs! They were everywhere, everyday. To show owners the last day we left them where we had killed them…bathroom sink, wall, and floor. Kitchen sink and table by the big window. Couldn’t use kitchen table…ants. We stayed only to sleep, but that was questionable. Wanted fresh air from the lake, slide the window, it was full of dirt and more bugs. If anyone cares or wants pictures, I have them. 2 mornings found earwigs in the box with my new contact lenses. Unless you want to share your space with earwigs don’t stay here! Ah, we won’t ever be back or recommend! Shame on Vrbo!!!!
The photos of this property are not Photoshopped; the view is really this spectacular. You couldn't be closer to the water unless you were on a houseboat, so don't be surprised if you want to spend your entire stay just looking out the huge windows and listening to the waves lapping at the gorgeous, rocky shore. The cottage is just big enough, well-apportioned, and very cozy. The bedroom is a great size, even with the queen bed. We'd recommend bringing a mattress-topper (or two), especially if you're not used to sleeping in a very firm bed. The bathroom is a tight squeeze, but nicely laid-out with great amenities. The coffee maker takes a long time (over an hour for a nearly full pot), so be sure to plan accordingly for your caffeine fix. More time to look out the windows! If you can manage to tear yourself away from the sofa you've melted into, the cottage is well-located to explore the charming town of Sturgeon Bay, and the absolutely gorgeous Cave Point County Park--and beyond. Cannot recommend this enough!
Loved the location and cabin wasn't bad. Bathroom is small and the deck needs an awning or unbrella because it was very hot to watch the beautiful sun set.

Port
It was very cozy and peaceful. Only negative is no umbrella for the table outside.
Our second trip here was just as good as the first. It is a lovely spot on the lake. On this trip, we were able to spend more time on the deck. The high waves would get us wet on our first trip. The only complaints would be to turn down the hot water (scorching). Also, the dock is unsafe (especially for small children) and really serves no purpose. I would get rid of it. Other than that we really love the little cabin on the lake and the Door County area. We hope to be back again soon. Thanks!

We own and operate a family hotel in Sturgeon Bay, WI. I was a school teacher and my husband a welding inspector but decided to try our hand at running a hotel. We started 30 years ago and have never looked back. We love it. It does get a bit cold in the winter.... haha
