This two-bedroom two full bath oceanfront condo is 952 sq ft. This property has the BEST views of the ocean, Molokini Crater, and Kaho'olawe Island. From your lanai, enjoy sunsets and sunrises from this location and watch the turtles play in the ocean below. Humpback whales can be seen in abundance during the winter months, November through April.

This unit includes window A/C in the living room, 4 ceiling fans, and FREE secure 5G (400 Mbps) Wi-Fi Internet. This unit is spacious and bright. The kitchen is fully stocked with a dishwasher, stove/oven, and linens, and towels. Free calls to the USA mainland and Canada, cable TV, and CD/stereo. The master bedroom has a comfortable pillow top King-size bed for your sleeping comfort. The second bedroom has two single beds with pillow-tops. This home is a wonderful value for large parties and sleeps four guests comfortably. We will allow up to 6 people maximum, please ask permission. There are 2 foam mattress pads single size for the 5th and 6th.

Kana'i A Nalu is a quiet resort that sits on the oceanfront away from the road on Ma'alaea Bay. This setting is wonderful for romantic sunset strolls. For the more active person, there is a great beach to run on as you can do so for miles in peace away from the crowds. Just a short walk down the quiet, tree-lined street from Kana'i A Nalu is Haycraft Park, which leads to miles of uninterrupted sand and surf all the way to Sugar Beach. If there is a big south swell, the wave off the harbor, "Freight Trains," can be one of the best in the world attracting expert surfers. Toward the east of Ma'alaea is a great spot for windsurfing, during both trade and Kona winds.

A short walk down the road will lead you to Ma'alaea Harbor with its great restaurants and shops, including the Five Star rated waterfront. Just steps away are the Maui Ocean Center Aquarium, a putt-putt golf course, rock climbing wall, trampoline, and bumper boats. Fun for the entire family!

Ma'alaea is located 20 minutes to Lahaina town and 20 minutes to Kihei and 30 minutes to Wailea and to the OGG Kahului airport.

Paradise in Maalaea

We have been going to Maui for many years. This was our second time at this property, which we find ideally located and well furnished. We particularly like to listen to the crashing surf outside of the bedroom window each evening, look for whales and dolphins off the coast, and experience the late afternoon sea breezes.

Quiet condo community. Plenty of space for 4. View is unbeatable. Daily frequent sightings of whales - incredible. The grounds are nicely maintained and it’s a quick walk to a lovely, uncrowded beach. Rental agency was supremely responsive. However, the unit condo itself is rather tired. The wooden furniture and kitchen cabinets are spotty and worn, in need of some love. Lighting fixtures need a good cleaning - grimy and buggy. Kitchen has the basics. Nothing horrific but for the price, the condo could use some love.

Right on the water!

Stayed here in order to help volunteer for the fire victims. Location was good and easy to get to Lahaina and north areas to volunteer. Also, a quick drive from the airport and only a 15-minute drive to Kihei where there are many shopping and eating options. Condo was clean and so close to the ocean that you can fall asleep to the waves (quick walk to a beachy area). Pool/beach towels available for use, and a full kitchen. We were on the 3rd floor and did not see an elevator, so keep that in mind while carrying heavy luggage and groceries. There was an a/c unit in the main room, but no a/c in bedrooms. We had every fan in the place going with all windows open and was still very hot. Overall, nice place to stay.

Well Appointed Condo & Beautiful View

Having been to Maui several times but largely stayed in the Kaanapali area, we weren’t sure what to expect staying more south. This location was ideally situated to drive in any direction, Kahalui, Kihei/Wailea or West. Check in and communication were smooth and the view was amazing. We lost track of how many whales and sea turtles we saw during our stay. The condo had lots of amenities and we were pleased to be able to use the fridge to fill our water bottles vs buying bottles to take with us on our daily travels. The only minor complaint we would have is that the hot water didn’t quite stretch in the event our group of two adults and two younger kids needed to clean up around the same time after a day at the beach and before a dinner reservation. Make sure to check out Hula Cookies at the harbour, as well as Point Break Pizza! Would stay here again for sure. The adjacent sugar beach was a great place for a serene walk in the mornings

Very close to ocean

Simply being on the balcony here, we observed a sea turtle on the beach one day and watched whales on several days. There is very little foot traffic so it mostly feels like you and the ocean. Walking the beach at night shows off a sky dense with stars. Another treat is the park with wetlands just a short stroll down the beach.

Love view is breathtaking

This is a great property if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of the tourist area. Quiet, clean area with nothing but soothing waves and a fresh tropical breeze. Everything was perfect.

Nice for moderate expectations

The condo was renovated with new counters and new dishwasher. However, the art on the walls looked like it was from a garage sell and the carpet was stained and dirty. The master bedroom mattress has seen better days and the overall impression was underwhelming. However, with that said... it was adequate for our family of 4 and in a good location within walking distance to a small and quiet beach and a small general store. It was a good base for activities on both Kihei and Lahaina. Overall, it was a good value. Please note that the Ma’alea bay is the windiest spot on the island. Also, the traffic between it and the other towns can get backed up, so allow plenty of time for travel. Also, the condo does not have any soap or shampoo/conditioner - so remember to bring your own.

Great place, especially for families!!

Everything about this place is great. From booking to final check out, it was easy, well communicated, and no worries. We thought the condo was better than described, and the pics don't do it justice. Exceptionally clean everywhere. The kitchen was stocked much better than we thought, plenty of towels, and extra beach items for the kids. The only issue was a slow draining shower (1 hour to drain). Once we notified management, the repairman was there in about 30 minutes to fix it. We would absolutely stay here again. It's so close to the beach, the sound of the waves crashing is almost too loud! That's a good problem to have! The condo grounds were very well kept, the BBQ looked very clean, and the pool area was spotless.

We were extremely pleased with our stay at Kanai A Nalu #302 January 3-10. The property is well furnished and comfortable. We like it's location overlooking the sea so that we can hear the waves each night and walk along the beach in the direction of Kihei each day. We like to stay in Ma'alaea because it is centrally located on Maui, permitting relatively easy travel to other locations on the island. We've visited Maui many times in the past 10-15 years but of all the places we've stayed we cannot imagine a better place to stay in Maui than this apartment in Kanai A Nalu.

Doesn't get any better than this

This is the place to be in Maui with its centralized location and accessibility to anywhere in the island. The unit is just fantastic and the property is beautiful. Everything we needed to make an awesome family vacation was there. The unit easily accommodated the 5 of us (with 3 grown kids) and the amenities / beds were top notch. No issues with check-in / out. Fantastic place

Great place to chill out, so relaxed compared to the more touristy spots on Maui. The beach is fantastic. I just love sitting on the balcony whatching the surf and trying to spot turtles pop their heads out of the surf while I enjoyed a cold beer.

Quiet condo on Maui

Our family of four (including 14yo and 11yo boys) spent 4 days on Maui and stayed in this condo. Although there is AC, we only needed it for a few hours after arrival since the condo had been closed up for a couple of days and was stuffy. Otherwise the breeze was adequate to keep it comfy for us. The location at the end of Sugar Beach was very nice. The beach was not crowded and was perfect for running in the early morning or walking at any time. Our boys used the boogie boards almost every day and the waves just down the beach provided plenty of opportunity for this. We saw numerous sea turtles during our stay. It was a relaxing visit and we appreciated the ability to extend our checkout since there was not another party coming in the day we were leaving. Would stay here again. Beach Bum restaurant at the marina just down the street was good and very convenient on our last night. Mahalo and we look forward to a future Maui vacation.

Great, central, location "ON" the ocean!

I shared the Kanai a Nalu property with my husband, sister and mother. We had a fabulous time! The condo is extremely well equipped and had everything we needed. It was right on the ocean and the sound of the waves was so nice to hear. The property has very clean. The contact, Windy, while we were there was great, too. We had one maintenance issue and she resolved it immediately. The condo has air conditioning in the living room only, but luckily we only needed it for a few hours on a couple of days and there are fans in all the rooms. The location was great, too, as it was about halfway between Lahaina and Wailea. In fact, its walking distance from the Maui Ocean Center. Beach Bums Restaurant is near there and had great food, including one of the best meals we had while in Maui. We would definitely stay there again!

Great unit...... What a view!

This was our first trip to the Islands, armed with the "Maui Revealed" book as our guide, we chose this location for our stay. Staying on the dry side makes it easier, no doubt. I just can't imagine a better unit to rent. It's at the end of an uncluttered stretch of beach, on the water......with sunrises over the crater. The unit was very clean, updated and well appointed. You're going to appreciate the air conditioner, a lot of rentals don't have one. The two bathrooms were great for the both of us getting ready in the mornings, we were out the door that much faster! We spent our mornings on the lanai, having sunrise breakfasts and our evenings with cold drinks, listening to the waves. Hearing the crashing waves in bed at night,...... priceless! Maui is small enough that you're not far from anything......we just didn't have enough time to do it all. This unit is a great place to base your adventures from. When we return to Maui......we will rent this place again.

Very Nice, but not 5 stars

I noticed a number of 5 star reviews and have to disagree. While this is a very nice unit and I do recommend it, it's NOT 5 stars. I'm a little reluctant to give it 4, if I could go 3.5, I would. It is in a great location for experiencing Maui. Very central, easy to get to and easy to get to anywhere on the island. Very quiet, nice beach (but NOT 5 star beach). We saw sea turtles from the lanai often. There are rocks at this beach and you need to go down the beach a ways to get clear of those. The unit is attractive and well appointed, but it could use a little work. All beds have seen better days and are sagging, both front and back door (to the lanai) need work. The front door doesn't lock unless you slam it and the doorstop on it drops down on its own, blocking the door when you don't want it to do so. The sliding door to the lanai is hard to operate and jumps the track often. Kitchen is very well appointed and worked really well for us to make breakfasts and occasional other meals. It would be great for families who don't want to eat out for all those meals (the restaurants on Maui are great, but pretty expensive). We stopped at farmers markets for fresh local fruits and made a big bowl of fruit salad to have on hand. Master bath is great and other bath is good as well. Well appointed with towels and bath products, you don't need to bring much with you - we could have saved some room in our luggage. Nice beach towels too. Lots of beach toys, including a number of boogie boards (we missed them the first day and added two more boards to the collection). We also added two fishing rods - medium weight spinning rods - we brought our own reels and picked up the rods at Target. Make sure you check over all the stuff in the hamper by the front door and the "kids" bedroom closet before renting or buying anything for beach or pool. Some snorkeling gear and stuff to use on the beach. Nice size flat screen TV in the living room and large tube type TV in the master bedroom. I couldn't get the remote on the bedroom TV to work the one time I tried to use it though, not that you want to spend your time watching TV while here anyway. Nice pool area, well maintained, as is the whole property. Two large gas grills and some tables out by the pool for picnics and the like. We would rent here again, but it's not a luxe unit, or perfect. Good value though.

Paradise for sure!

We stayed in this beautiful, clean condo to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. To begin, booking it was a breeze and when we got there, we were pleasantly impressed. The pictures don't do it justice. This condo is so clean and organized. Everything is there that you will need. We loved the location, the views, the pool. It was very convenient to the airport, and many other areas that we wanted to visit. We highly recommend this condo. Very, very nice! Thank you for sharing it with us.
