Amazing Oceanfront Condo, Tropical Luxury, Great Value, 2 BR, 2 Bath

Our Ocean Front condo has been remodeled in an island-style with an asian touch. Enjoy Maui sand and surf just steps from the front of our complex. The steps to the beach have been washed away with high surf (10/30/19), so it is best to walk to the park about a block away to walk on the beach. The condo associatation is working to replace the steps. The Kanai A Nalu resort is centrally located on the southwest side of Maui at the beginning of a pristine beach that runs for 3.5 miles (or more) uninterrupted to the north end of Kihei. Our 3rd floor corner unit is a prime location on the quiet side of the complex (one of only 4 such units). It offers spectacular panoramic views of Haleakala (volcano), Molokini, other islands, and the south shore of Maui (from North Kihei to Wailea and beyond). You can fall asleep to the sound of gentle surf and wake to a glorious Maui sun rising over the 10,000 foot Haleakala volcano. From our private lanai enjoy breakfast, lunch and/or dinner while watching the ocean surf, whales, turtles and surfers during the given season. We often opt to dine in on our lanai because this wonderful setting is seldom matched when dining out.


The master bedroom (furnished in island-style) and bath are private with ocean views from two sides, and includes a wall mounted flat screen TV. The 2nd bedroom (furnished in island-style) and bath can be closed for privacy with a unique sliding door. The lanai is furnished to seat four for dining. The kitchen is equipped with range, refrigerator/freezer (with ice-maker), dishwasher, washer/dryer, and microwave. The dining area offers a dining table which is set to seat 4, but can be expanded to seat 8 or 10. The living area is furnished in an island-style with an oriental touch and includes a 42' HDTV and a HD BlueRay Player plus a supply of movies for your enjoyment. Our kitchen has a plentiful supply of dinner ware and cooking utensils and appliances.

A starter supply of toilet and paper towels will be provided. You will need to buy extra.

If the tv doesn’t work unplug the modem for a minute or two located on the tv stand to reboot.

AC will only work set at 72 degrees NOT lower. Use the timer located on the mirror wall to operate it.The wind usually blows so we open the windows and doors to enjoy the tropics and never turn on the AC.

Great vacation condo

Property has a nice view of the water and we enjoyed watching turtles swimming below. The small park down the beach is a quiet place for a swim and it is great being so close to the Ocean Center and shops.

This is in a great location however although emailed about the air conditioning not working a few weeks prior to our trip, this made for uncomfortable nights despite having Windows open and winds blowing. The blinds in the property were tired and some were broken. The pool area was lovely and well maintained. The beach view was excellent. The sink plug wasn't connected to the lever above the counter top requiring scrambling at the back of the cabinet beneath the sink to drain the water. The kitchen was well equiped and the prevision of beach chairs and noodles were appreciated.

The condo was very beautiful and perfectly located near the airport. Pam was super helpful with responding to my emails about different activities to do in Maui. There was everything in that condo that you will ever need. Very well organized kitchen and lots of things stored in the bedroom closets that we could use for our 10 days stay. Overall a great stay at Pam’s condo. Traffic is the only downside of this location when you want to go towards west side of the island. Grocery stores are 15 min away so renting a car is a must.

Even though the beach has washed away eight outside the unit, it’s a quick walk to it and can’t beat the ocean views. Whales, turtles, it has it all!

This Condo was wonderful, the interior was beautifully decorated, the kitchen was top notch and the beds so comfortable. The Lanai was perfect for sitting out on, watching the whales, turtles and the boats going in and out of the harbor. We kept the windows and slider open and never had to use the AC, which I loved. The complex is quiet, beautifully maintained and in such a great location. Pam was wonderful to deal with and so accommodating. I'm already thinking about next year!

Perfect Holiday Getaway

When we first walked in we felt calm and relaxed as we toured the condo. The kitchen and bedrooms met all of our needs. The condo offers a perfect view each morning of the sunrise. The harbor is only a few blocks away to go on boat tours of the islands. We swam everyday while there. Loved the whole experience and hope to be back next year!

This property is in a fantastic location with a great view off the balcony. Well located with restaurants and bars in walking distance as well as beaches that allow for swimming or sunbathing. Host was great at communicating prior to arrival with all info needed.

Great location

Not far from airport (hear & see planes land) and walking distance from one of the best aquariums we have ever visited. Right on the ocean (will get used to the pounding waves). Could see whales spouting & breaching right from the lanai. A pair of binoculars would have been an added bonus. End unit and end of a dead end road so quiet. 2 1/2 mile walking beach right next door. Very nice solar heated pool.

Great Location/Property

The property was exactly as described. It is within 5 minutes walking to a beach. Turtles and whales (during whale season) can be seen from the balcony. Location is within walking distance to downtown area where we boarded a sunset cruise, whale watching, and snorkel tour. Owner is very prompt in responding to questions, suggestions, etc. Overall, we had a lovely time during our family vacation.

Overall the condo was good. There is only one AC in the main hall. It wont keep up if outside temp is high. It was breezy while we stayed and it was not a problem.

Why they chose this property

We love the setting. Our unit is on the 3rd floor, a corner unit so the guest bedroom window is not on the walkway with an ocean view and sound of the waves. To fall asleep with the ocean waves is a treat. The beach borders a National Wildlife Reserve. It's like finding the 'real' Maui. Turtles swimming by are an extra plus. It's Paradise for us!

What makes this property unique

We have installed all new double paned tinted windows and lanai door to keep the sun damage down and the condo a bit cooler. Now all the windows and doors slide easily. The old windows were original to the building, and sun, salt air, and years had done their damage. It was time for a re do.
