Beautifully decorated and fully furnished home located in the middle of 5 private acres with gated entry. Only minutes from beautiful downtown Waynesville and Blue Ridge Parkway, and short distance to Maggie Valley and Asheville. Our home offers two porches--one with a million dollar tranquille mountain view and the other overlooking a rushing stream. High speed wireless internet, garage parking, large Hi Def TV and DVD in living room, LCD's in 2 bedrooms. Stainless kitchen, 2 beautiful bedrooms (1 queen, 1 with 2 double beds and sitting room) and 2 bathrooms, one with a jetted bathtub. Located at top of Saunook Road. Great place to relax and enjoy!!!

Beautiful view

The home was very clean and spacious for 3 couples who stayed here. The owners were easy to communicate with and even let us check in early. We would recommend this home for anyone visiting the area.

Great place

My family visits Waynesville every year during Thanksgiving for hiking and staying away from the crowds. This place is great for that! When we arrived there was a smoke alarm beeping from a low battery and it took less than 10 minutes from notifying the hosts for them to have a neighbor come over and fix it. Great experience!

Beautiful Views

We rented both units on this property and were very happy with both rentals. Owners were great to work with and the check in/out process was very easy. Views are amazing from this house. If you hike, you are near all major trails. We will be back for sure

Exceeded expectations, again

Great location. A wonderful home with a wonderful view of the mountains. Well maintained, outfitted and decorated. Mary Jeanne the host came over and introduced herself to me and we had a great conversation. Everything we hoped for in a mountain retreat. This was our second visit and we’re planning on returning.

Spectacular Views and Property

Views were great! Watching the sunrise was phenomenal with the babbling creek and birds chirping in the air. House was very well furnished (bring your clothes and toiletries). Internet speeds were great for streaming movies on rainy days or getting work done on the computer (if that's a must). Central location to many, many spectacular activities in the area. Stay here for all the pluses of the area without the crowds and overdone tourism of Gatlinburg. I can't say enough wonderful things about this property and location!

Beautiful views!

Overall this was a very good stay. The views were beautiful as promised, the house small but clean and accessible. Mary always answered my questions quickly. The fireplace was beautiful and made the house warm and cozy. The property was lovely with a babbling brook (creek) that was very peaceful. The view from the cabin down the hill has the best view of the creek. We were a little put off with having to take all our garbage to the garbage dump. It took quite a bit of time and we had to go a few times as not to let garbage sit around. The first time we went, there were 5 cars ahead of us so it took awhile. Caution also with the double beds that roll around when you sit on them. I almost fell the first time until Mary told me to lock the wheels. I tried but couldn’t get them to work so we were just had to be carful every time we sat on them. The hand soaps in the bathroom were watered down I’m guessing to make it last longer. Not a good idea especially during covid. We had to buy our own hand soap. I’m surprised no review has mentioned the “neighborhood “ on the way to the house. It’s was scary to go by a trailer park, and properties that were filthy and unkept. It was like an episode of hoarders. To clarify this was the ride up to the house. Once you go through the gate it’s clean and beautiful. But I wanted to drive as fast as possible by the other houses in the area. It’s quite isolated but in these COVID days that’s what everyone is looking for. If you love the mountains you’ll love this place.

Beautiful home for our family. Location was perfect for our trip. One flight of stairs up to the main level. Parking was good had to be careful with the turn around. The hosts are amazing at making sure everything is ready for your stay. We absolutely loved the patio and the mountain view beneath the stars. Highly recommend!

Questionable cleanliness

We have stayed at cleaner properties in the past. The kitchen needed a thorough cleaning. The main issue was the presence of mice and the reluctance of the owner's pest control contractor to visit the property. Due to Hurricane Helene we left early.

Christmas in the Blue Ridge Mountains

What a wonderful Christmas! We enjoyed every minute of our stay. It was such a special time with our youngest son bein home on leave fro the Air Foce and this little gem of a home made it even better. It was clean, well supplied and very cozy wit the most amazing views! The hosts even provided us with a Christmas tree and decorations to make it festive. If I had to pick one thing to improve, it would be the lighting. There isn’t much of it in the living room. I still give it a five star rating. Thank you so much! We love the house and the area.

Lovely home and surroundings

This home is located very close to Waynesville and is an easy drive. The view is so serene with a very nice large balcony. There’s a garage for the car and a nice gas grill. Beds are comfortable with clean updated bathrooms. The galley kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals including some spices, napkins, foil and plastic wrap. I’m coming up again in October with a friend and am looking forward to staying in this beautiful home again.

Great mountain town Christmas

We loved our time in the mountains, great shops, food and the cabin was a great place to unwind. Loving room was cozy, property was great for the dogs and they loved hanging out on the deck too.

We enjoyed our stay in Waynesville, ringing in the New Year in the beautiful mountains. The house had everything we needed and was close to many amenities and nice restaurants. We definitely recommend this home and will put it on our list of favorites for future visits.

Exceptional Mountain Home

A very well maintained home with the promised “million dollar view”. Well furnished maintained and decorated with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great location with easy access to Waynesville, The Blue Ridge Parkway and of course apple donuts at Barber Orchard. Highly recommend. We shall be back.

We have been married 39 years. We have two grown children, one in our town of Jupiter, FL, the other in Santa Monica, CA. I have been a pre-school director for over 30 years and my husband is a retired master carpenter.

Why they chose this property

On my 50th birthday we visited Waynesville for the first time. We visited a few properties but absolutely fell in love with the privacy, beautiful mountain views, running creek and the close proximity to dining, shopping and tourist attractions.

What makes this property unique

The house was just a shell when we purchased it but after 2 years of traveling back and forth from Florida and extremely hard work and coordination, the results are amazing and top of the line. Our property is very remote yet only 5 miles from shopping and downtown Waynesville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.
