Load and start the dishwasher
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Run the dishwasher, empty refrigerator and take out trash.
Return thermostats to 75 (summer) and 60 (winter)
Turn off lights and lock doors upon exiting. You can leave the key inside.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Christmas Family Vacay

Perfect Space for Family Getaway

This is our third year staying and celebrating Easter at the lake house. Plenty of room to spread out, they always have everything in the kitchen needed to prepare a full Easter dinner and the dock and lake are amazing! Bruce is always responsive to requests or questions about the property. Our family truly enjoys our time here every year.

Bachelor weekend on the lake

We celebrated my brother for his bachelor weekend and it wouldn’t have been the same if we hadn’t stayed here. We really enjoyed the dock, the house and the quick access to the lake and state park! The house was clean and welcoming. Would recommend and would stay here again in the future

Early risers went fishing Young 20s went sun bathing on deck Large table for all to eat together and play games. Close enough to Virginia tech for graduation events Plenty of beds and baths even a game room with pool table Lots of fun Thank you for sharing a great place!

Great host—called to make sure we were settled in and knew all the ins and outs of the home. House was very clean on the inside. Great place to stay if visiting Redford or VT area. Lots of room for our big teenage boys!

Great location

This property had the perfect location, within a 15 minute drive to Radford, gorgeous lake views, right off the main lake. The house was great and had everything we needed. We loved that each bedroom had its own AC/temperature controls. The beds and pillows were also really comfortable. The wifi was limited which bothered the men more than anyone else, but there was Satellite TV so the kiddos could have some downtime in between all the lake fun.

Great house at the lake!

My family enjoyed our time staying here. The evening sunsets were gorgeous. The arcade and game room was so nice and really elevated our experience. The beds and couches were very comfortable. The furniture was lovely. Tons of space. The photos don’t do it justice. The house is spacious and clean and we would stay again for sure!

Relaxing and Fun

A lovely large house with plenty of room both inside and out. Fun for swimming, fishing, and just being lazy in the sun. The boys loved the game room, and the whole family played pool in the evenings. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was great that all the linens were provided. All the beds were made up and ready when we arrived - such a nice touch!

Definitely looking into coming back in the summer!

Check-in was simple and was able to check-in earlier which was awesome for us! The property was absolutely gorgeous, the branches everywhere were kind of annoying but tolerated. We had fun canoeing and fishing, it was chilly but definitely worth the experience! We plan on booking again in the summer and renting the boat and jet ski for an even greater experience! Plenty of space for our family and great laughs and fun with the game room!

Paradise Found Says it all

The Destination is worth the Drive. Renting the boat from Mountain2Island put it way off the chain. Peaceful does not adequately describe the feel when drinking your morning coffee on the deck or taking a paddle on the canoe. Plan to spend time at and around the house—you will love it.

Some of the silverware had to be re-washed. One of the coffeemaksers had what looked like mildew at the bottom, so we used neither coffeemaker. On the pier were a couple of life jackets and the storage bins doors were wide open. Otherwise, things were excellent and we love to come back.

Home away from Home

This was a wonderful lake side property. Game room ...excellent, well taken care of, dock looked practically new, brand new grill on deck was awesome. House had all linens provided, we just had to bring some food and things. We stayed as a family wed, thurs, fri, then family left and bachelor party stayed fri and sat night, had plenty to do, fishing, rented a boat from claytor lake water sports, played pool, pingpong, video games, two tvs Just would have loved to had the hot tub running Otherwise, my wife and child are going back ASAP for a long weekend

Friends trip!

Perfect spot for our group. We are close friends who travel together and this fit all of us. We loved stargazing at night from the top of the dock.. and, if you love movies, the dvd collection is AMAZING. I also schooled one of my friends in ping pong. Two of the bathrooms are in the downstairs bedrooms. Me and another gal stayed in the small room with the two twin beds, and since we didn’t want to walk through people’s bedrooms to use the bathroom at night we did go upstairs to use the one that was open to the hallway. This didn’t bother me at all. The bed was super comfy. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area. Close to town and plenty of parking!

Nice place to relax

Nice house to relax and enjoy the lake If u are tall u will hit your head going down stairs Tall = 6 foot or more. Arcade should be removed way to old and out dated or upgraded House was comfortable and clean Propane tanks empty they brought a new one once notified. Ceiling in the upstairs bathroom leaks told them they said a Maintance guy was coming over never saw him The dock is nice hope your not allergic to bees cause they are all in and on the dock Water clean and warm. Only having limited data puts a damper on thing especially having teens with you on vacation All in all was ok rented a boat and jet ski
