—Kathleen's Review: "We chose this cute cottage over staying at the Graduate Hotel and we made the right choice. It's an easy walk to the Square, and walking through the pretty Bailey Woods trail to campus was the No. 1 reason we chose this property, and I’m so glad we did. Why mess around with Ole Miss parking when you can just walk through the woods (or down University Ave.) to get there? Loved it."
—Nic's Review: "Everything from the communication to cleanliness of the house, this cottage has all you need. Walkable to the square, Faulkner’s home, and Ole Miss campus it allows you to walk wherever you want to go. Lesley and her husband were extremely welcoming and took extreme pride in their home. Will definitely come back for all future trips to Oxford. Cannot recommend this place enough if your looking for a quiet place in the best town ever."
Just a few blocks from restaurants, shopping and nightlife, this 1-bedroom apartment is the perfect retreat for any occasion. Located in The S. Lamar Historic District, a few blocks from the Oxford Square, the quaint apartment is nestled on a half-acre lot. You'll enjoy all the Southern charm this updated and restored 1950's one-bedroom apartment has to offer.

A short walk to Ole Miss ballgames, and you're only one block from Rowan Oak, William Faulkner’s historic home. If you love nature, you will enjoy the walk through Bailey’s Woods Trail that links Rowan Oak, to Vaught–Hemingway Stadium, Tad Smith Coliseum and Swayze Field.
If there is anything we can do to make your stay more memorable, please don't hesitate to ask. We love helping celebrate special occasions, and helping coordinate a variety of services for our out-of-town guests.
FYI: Our property is four houses over from William Faulkner's historic home where you will find Bailey Woods Trail. A National Recreation Trail, Bailey Woods Trail links Rowan Oak, William Faulkner’s historic home, to the University Museum. Stretching approximately 3,000 feet, the trail takes about 20 minutes to walk, and bikes are not permitted on the trail. Bailey Woods is a heavily wooded area that William Faulkner was known to walk through. The trail was officially opened in 2008 and is a popular spot for hikers, UM classes, families and pets. The trail is incorporated into educational programming at the Museum in order to get children and visitors outside and active.

Cute and well appointed cottage. We walked to the square one night and to the game the next day. Use the trail through the William Faulkner park to campus! It was much faster and a fun, easy hike away from the traffic.

Why they chose this property
Great location, private and quiet! It's walking distance to the Square and Grove.
What makes this property unique
Our location is very unique! Our craftsman-style bungalow is also unique to the area, built in 1939 (apartment added in 1950's) with lots of charm. We are on a quiet cul-de-sac. The house sits on half-an-acre in the heart of Oxford's Historic District. Guests can walk everywhere -- steps to Rowan Oak, about four blocks to the Square and walking distance from the Grove.
The Main House and Apartment are connected via two sets of locked adjoining doors, including a "solid core door", between the two properties. The apartment has a private entrance, a large back deck and private off-street parking which is a big bonus on ballgame weekends.
