Even though the condo was dated, it had all the amenities I needed. Easy access to laundry, trash and most importantly the slopes. Would definitely come back. The Retreatia shuttle was also a big plus

Amenities were ok. The microwave is likely illegal it’s so old. The kitchen cabinets clearly have not been updated in 30 or so years and could use it. Better instructions regarding how to get to and from the ski slopes would have been useful.
We stayed for a short spring-break get away. It was fun to be so close to the ski slope and not have to drive anywhere. We also were able to eat lunch in the condo, which saved time and money.

Thank you for your great review! We're so happy to hear you had a fun spring break and enjoyed the convenience of being close to the ski slope. It's awesome that you could save time and money by having lunch in the condo too! We'd love to host you again for your next getaway!
Great stay- love Storm Meadows for its convenience. Property a bit dated, such as appliances and interior design, but most of them are. Love the accessibility to mountain and price. Would definitely stay again.

We came here to ski and wanted ski in/ski out! This was definitely that! It had a full kitchen to make all of our meals! The fire place was a nice addition to help dry out our gloves and hats at the end of the day! We were so close to the gondolas, it took no time at all to get skiing for the day! The hot tub was nice and a short distance from the room! The best part was the free shuttle service that would pick up and drop off anywhere you wanted! We parked our car and never moved for a week!
Refused shuttle service left me stranded in a storm to walk from office to actual rental unit
We booked a place WITH a shuttle we emailed and confirmed we could get around with a shuttle. There is an office you have to stop at first before getting to your rental. So an errand before you can actually arrive. I got to the office to grab keys and take the shuttle to lodging. They refused shuttle service at 8pm. I was never told it was suspended for the night. I was not emailed or updated about the cancellation. They did not offer any alternative or help. The after hour’s emergency would not help and told us that my friends waiting outside the apartment with out a key and me stuck at the office wasn’t an emergency. Keep in mind it’s winter! Pamela forcefully kicked me out of the office in a storm. With approval from her manager lorie. I had to walk 1.5 miles on the side of snow packed roads with the plows running. I booked a shuttle and was refused that service or any other alternative or help. The staff on the emergency line and office were all very rude. I didn’t have gloves I wasn’t prepared for a night walk in the snow. Totally inhumane to require an in person visit to a second location and offer transportation then rudely deny that. they put me in a completely unsafe situation at night in a new town. And just for the record there isn’t Uber or Lyft and it was so cold my phone wouldn’t work. I couldn’t call a taxi. I will never do business again with this company. They had no regard for my safety are ability to arrive at my lodging they managed.
Thank you for your review, Nathan. If there’s anything specific you would like to discuss about your stay, feel free to let us know! We hope to host you again soon.
I have never had a bad experience with VRBO until this one. This unit was old, dated, worn, and dirty. It is in terrible need of a refresh. It does not have air conditioning, has only one fan (in bedroom) and only 2 windows/sliding glass door that open for fresh air. The unit is also in desperate need of new bedding, new pillows, new towels, and even new furniture. Sorry to say, but a big disappointment.
I have stayed in Steamboat in the past, in another building that was every bit as dated, but at least the room was fresh and clean. We were so uncomfortable that we left after an hour and stayed in a hotel room.
The young woman with the management agency (in Steamboat) was very nice, which was the only positive thing about our experience. We never did hear back from reservations (management company) even though we left a message and were told that we would receive a call back.
Sorry to say, but the pictures do not accurately portray this unit.
The location is amazing, and really great access to the slopes. The stairs to the ski area are very minimal. The place was super clean and had everything we needed for the stay. I think the pull out couch mattress has been updated since previous reviews because I thought it was really comfortable. The overall building is a bit dated, but that is very clear in the posting. The place had a nostalgic old ski village feeling, and the fireplace works VERY well and is a nice touch.

The location of this condo is fantastic but it could do with new pillows & bedding, pots/pans, and a deep clean. Place works for folks looking for a budget experience. King bed is comfortable, fireplace and bathroom remodel are very nice. Property management could do a better job with maps on how to find the condo in the unit (go down two flights of stairs and through the ski locker room) and include directions on how to access the ski slopes. In snowboard boots we had no problem but the amount of stairs down to crossing the street and walking through the parking lot could be difficult in ski boots. Carpet, vents, fan, closets, etc are all very dusty/musty but again the advantage of this place is the great location!
The location of the property is great! But we didn't have any parking spot at night during our stay .

Great little spot to vacation
Steamboat is a beautiful little town! For how many people were around skiing we really did not run into that many people so it felt private and safe! The room was clean and we'll equipped. the only thing I did not like was that when we were checked in a woman came to change a lightbulb. she knocked..we were napping and did not get up quite quick enough and she was just going to use her key and just come in. My boyfriend caught her at the door just as she started opening it. I didn't think people should be coming in our room unattended unless requested. Parking was good and staff was very friendly though!

Good Condo Near the Slopes
This condo is comfortable but dated. We enjoyed our stay but there were some issues.
Pros: On ground level so easy access to hot tub and snow, convenient ski locker location, Whitney at the Retreatia office was attentive and quite helpful, cute ski lodge decor, comfortable bed, lots of towels, comfortable sofa and easy chair
Cons: The smell of fried bacon greeted us the first time we entered the unit and throughout the week, the tub is chipped and rusting, the bathroom door frame is dry rotted, burnt and scratched cookware (Retreatia took these away), limited A/C outlets and a tangle of extension cords (a couple of power strips would solve this issue), you can hear the neighbors' conversation in the bathroom, the floor board upstairs are squeaky so you hear every step, the sleeper sofa mattress is thin so an adult needs extra padding in order to sleep on it (we used a folded quilt), the DVD player didn't work well (only showed B/W; we couldn't trouble shoot it), parking is limited and we once had to park in a fire lane in front of the next building and risk towing as there was no space in front.

Cozy and perfect for skiing
The place was stocked with towels, blankets, coffee, and everything you need to cook a meal. Lockers on site were great.
The ski in ski out was available but still had to hike a bit to get to where you can ski.
The unit is about a 10 Min walk to gondola square. Restraints within walking distance.

Pleasant
There was lots of beautiful snow and no parking spaces available at night. We had to park at the property next door. The unit we stayed in was hard to find because you have to go through a door marked ski lockers. The place is comfortable but don't expect a view. If you don't need the sleeper sofa (mattress & spring dip down in the middle) you should be fine. I'm not trying to discourage anyone, just a few tips!

Ronda,
Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us! We are surprised to hear that parking was an issue, since the parking lot is very big and accommodates a lot of vehicles. if you keep driving don the parking lot you will find that there a re a few available spots down the parking lot. We assessed the sleeper sofa and repaired it already, I wish you would have called, so we can fix it for you. I am glad you said something now so it is in good shape now. The location of the unit is fantastic, it truly is very convenient to be able to ski back to your unit for lunch or get a quick nap. We had a family rotating since they had a little baby and worked out great for them.
Thank you for staying with us!

Comfortable and convenient
This 1BR is a little outdated and a bit of a walk to the ski hill, but it is easy to ski back to the condo and it is comfortable. We would have given it 4 stars (and considered staying here again) if Retreatia was not so difficult to work with.

This place has a good location w a hot tub but definitely needs an upgrade !!!!
The location was good enough because it's close to the mountain. As well, the hot tub was delightful after a long day of skiing. However, this place needs an upgrade with their appliances and their pots and pans which were rusty and very old. The mat on the floor looked like it hadn't been their for 30 years and the towels had to be washed before we used them. The humidifier was just a cheap plastic device. Lastly, the bathroom was extremely small and rather than replace the doors for the small tub/ shower, they replaced it with an old cheap shower curtain. And for the record, the picture they have in line of the bathroom is NOT the actual bathroom of the home. The actual bathroom is way smaller ....
I would think that with a place that you are renting out, that you would invest a little into sprucing up the place and making it more updated and current. When you save all year round and finally go on vacation, you expect the place you chose to stay at to be above standards and this was less than just average.
I would not stay here again.
