Very nice property with enough space for a family of four (with two teenagers). We weren’t able to take advantage of the ski in/ski out because of the lack of snow but could easily walk down the trail to the slopes. Kitchen worked great for breakfasts and some cooking. Parking was great. Had some issues with the hot water late in our stay. But otherwise this was a great property for staying and skiing in Steamboat! Great views and sunsets!
We really enjoyed our stay here. Great location for ski in/out not far from the gondola/ lifts. Great feature is the Retreatia shuttle to town. We would definitely stay here again.
The condo was in a great location. We didn't use the hot tub this time. It was a little trek to get to -it was not in the building we were staying at. The Condo itself was a little run down-- the fireplace made a weird whistling sound when on, screen door not on the tracks/just laying against the wall outside, both chairs on the porch were broken w/ metal sticking out of the seat area (dangerous), light fixtures on ceiling missing, tile in bathroom missing, shower fixtures not sealed on the wall -just hanging there in one bathroom. We asked the management co to have the patio chairs replaced but no dice. Minimal spices, no foil, cling wrap or Tupperware. if you need those things bring your own. scratchy sheets but comfy bed. It was pretty clean inside but the building had weird smells in the ski locker room and hallways. The house keeper left the vacuum in the hallway w/ a long extension cord for probably over 12 hours. it was forgotten. we ended up tidying it in the hallway so we didn't trip.Overall a pretty good stay. Had some great skiing. The ski in ski out was tricky w/ the warmer weather as the snow melted. we were able to get down the track for 4 days. loved the ski in ski out. Shuttle was convenient. I would maybe stay somewhere else next time as we paid a pretty penny to stay here. it was the people that made this trip. Overall the condo needs just a little work and it would be great.
Great time at Steamboat, and the location of this property makes it very easy to access the slopes and get home after a fun day. Only negative is that you have to pick up your and drop off your keys at the management office offsite (as opposed to keyless entry). But loved it.

Dear Shawn,
Thank you for your review! We are glad to hear you had a great time in Steamboat and enjoyed the convenience of our property's location for easy access to the slopes.
We appreciate your feedback regarding the key pickup and drop-off process. While we understand that keyless entry is a preference for some, we hope it didn't impact your overall experience too much.Looking forward to welcoming you back for another enjoyable stay!
Best regards,The Retreatia Team
Loved the location. Beautiful view! Shuttle service was great! Check in and out not very convenient as you have to go to a separate location to pickup and drop off keys. Could use some updating on the inside. Worn out twin beds, but bed in master was comfortable, chairs in living area seats were worn and sunk down when you sat in them. . Ski in ski out could be challenging for snowboarders, but a little better for skiers. The kitchen had everything we needed and the dining table was nice and big. Overall was a great experience.

It sounds like you had a great time overall, but there were a few things that could have been more convenient! It’s good to hear that the shuttle service and kitchen were on point, and it’s always a bonus when the dining area works for the whole group. The separate key pickup/drop-off does sound like a bit of a hassle, though, especially after a long day on the slopes.
The issues with the twin beds and seating are definitely something to keep in mind, but it’s great that the master bed was comfy. Sounds like it was still a fun trip overall, despite those minor hiccups! Would you consider staying there again or try somewhere else next time?
We’ve stayed at Storm Meadows Club A the last 3 years and this was the nicest unit by far. Being on the 1st floor is perfect for ski in ski out and the location is so chill and perfect for seeing the fireworks. Easy check in & parking, no hassles. Only bummer was the facility took out ALL the on site hot tubs! There used to be one on each floor, outdoors but covered. Now you have to cross the parking lot to the totally outdoor/uncovered hot tub at Club C. Better than nothing but not great.

It sounds like you had a great experience overall with the convenience and location, but that hot tub situation definitely seems like a letdown! It’s always nice to have a hot tub right there, especially after a day of skiing. Hopefully, the property can look into bringing back more accessible options in the future. Would you still recommend it despite that change?
The condo was perfect for a group of guys that just wanted to get as much skiing in as we could. Nothing fancy but great location and everything was clean and in good working order. The only issue was the new cardkey system. We had to make sure we had multiple cards every time we left the condo because they wouldn’t work consistently.
Unit was nice enough. Ski in ski out was awesome!
Unit had hot water issues. We had 4 people staying. By the end of first shower there would be no hot water. Called Rental company and they never called me back. A maintenance person left a note inside the unit leaving directions how to turn on the fireplace. Never had an issue with that! I called Rental company again and sent messages regarding hot water. Never responded.
Upon check out, I relayed all this and gave the note. Rental company apologized and said it was a building issue and they would look in to it. Overall, probably would not rent again. Cold showers after a day of skiing is not ideal.

Meh
Shower in master bath did not have hot water. Let management know, no response. Let them know again second day, "we'll get back to you." They didn't. Water stayed cold. There was hot water in second bath shower thankfully. Beds are tired, new mattresses and linens needed. Kitchen pots and pans are warped, cheap, and tired. Appliances all worked. Process for check in and check out is bad: Must go to Retreatia office in town a mile or two away to both collect keys on arrival and return them on departure, very inconvenient. Not allowed to leave keys in the unit on departure, making the 10 AM check out too early. If you want to ski the day you leave, you have to make an extra trip to town to drop off keys, with nowhere to leave your bags - unless you want to leave them with Retreatia, which means yet another trip back to town to collect your bags before leaving Steamboat at the end of the day. Good points: Ski in and ski out your back door. Free shuttle if needed, but it must be paged on their app; 20 minute wait when we paged it. Have stayed in Steamboat a number of times as we live on Front Range - Not likely to rent this unit again.
This condo was beautiful. Ski in and out off the mountain made it so fun. Would recommend this condo for your Steamboat stay

Great condo, disappointed with management
We took a spring ski trip to Steamboat. This property is listed as ski on ski off but due to the snow melt, the property was not ski on ski off. The walk to the slopes was not a long walk and it was all down hill. The condo was well stocked with kitchen supplies, making it easy to cook. 5 adults stayed in the condo and there was plenty of room.
The pull out couch was dirty and had crumbs and food wrappers in it, which was disgusting to see when the condo was listed as a very clean property and COVID. Other than that the property was clean.
We are very upset with management of the property. BE AWARE OF PARKING. When booking we checked on the parking situation since there were 3 cars coming. They told us that we could only park one car at the condo and we would park in two lots in two. When we received that email we were comfortable with that idea, when we checked in they did give us two parking passes. We drove to the lots that they mentioned in the email, both lots say "no overnight parking". The town of Steamboat has a winter mandatory no overnight parking rules. We wasted two hours driving around trying to park the spare car. When I called the front desk that evening the person I spoke to was rude and told us that we can park there because we won't get towed and when I explained that we are not comfortable with leaving the car in a lot that says "no over night park" and don't want to risk the car getting towed or getting a ticket (based on Steamboat town website it would be a $75 fee). The person on the phone was rude and not helpful in the situation. As a group we were forced into paying a lot of money to park the car overnight due to the miss communication. If management had been honest with over night parking we would had planned on carpooling and not wasted time and money.
Finally, directions on where to leave the key was unclear and we were unable to get in contact with anyone. Plan on dropping the keys where you picked them up so plan extra time if you are trying to hit the slopes.
Family of two teens enjoyed skiing with good access to slopes. Nice accommodations, clean, well laid out and had everything we needed. Recommend

Very good overall. A few improvements would make it a "5"
Overall, we had a very good stay. It was clean and stocked with all the essentials. Very good ski-in, ski-out location. A few improvements would have made the stay a "5" such as:
1. In the living area, even when the thermostat was in the "off" position, heat kept coming out of the baseboard heater. So, there was no real control over the heat there. Wasn't too bad though.
2. The oven light and fan don't work.
3. On the Instructions sheet, should put where the dumpster is.
4. The Wi-Fi password on the Instruction sheet is wrong.
4. Need more Kleenex boxes.
5. The hot tub lost water, with the level going down. The cover is sort of unwieldy.
6. Should indicate whether guests have access to the large hot tub and pool in the middle of the complex.

Overpriced and terrible service
As National Geographic filmmakers we stay all over the planet, from mud huts to luxury hotels. We know travel and have reasonable expectations. As local Coloradans with season ski passes who've stayed at the Storm Meadows complex numerous times I can say the location is excellent. But the management company on this trip was sub-par to say the least. We knew going in that the unit was wildly overpriced (friends stayed at a the same EXACT unit upstairs - managed by a different company - and payed $200 less per night!) But it was New Years week and the unit was the last 2 BR unit left in the complex so we decided to take it. For the cost, we figured the management company would at the very least offer exemplary service. But our experience was abysmal. First, they didn't leave a second key in the unit which their own condo rules stipulated we'd had have to pay $50 for if we didn't 'leave' it upon departure. ($50 for a CARD key is absurd.) After speaking to their office upon arrival we made clear we didn't HAVE two keys to begin with. The agent told us we could drive back across town and pick it up! (Even mid-level hotels send folks to your room for such things) After a long travel day they still they expected us to come back across town to them. After asking repeatedly for the key to be brought to us they did so. It showed up in just minutes! It turns out, housekeeping on-site had an extra key all along! So why insist that we drive 20 minutes to their office? No clue. Next we tried to sign onto WiFi. A standard feature for every ski condo we've ever rented. And for nearly 800 dollars a night (after all the add-on fees) it's a feature that should've been seamlessly provided. No such luck. Long story short, after SIX phone calls, messages left to the management office, extended talks with their office (the first of which essentially entailed them telling us, 'you'll have to figure it out yourself') they FINALLY promised to send someone to fix the issue. Mind you we were there for FIVE nights... So there was ample time to address this. But by the end our trip, despite repeated promises and calls - no one ever showed. Never again. With this management company & therefore unit you most definitely do not get what you pay for. Next time, we're going with another Steamboat management company that's provided great service over the years - at less cost. FYI,after too many VRBO stays to count - this is the FIRST negative review I've ever written.

Clean, good location, and fair price!
This was our third year visiting Steamboat for a baseball tournament, and this was our favorite property to stay at to date! The condo was very clean and functionable, with one of the nicer pullout couches we've used. The pool area was fantastic as well! All in all, I would much recommend.

Tired property
The location and views are great. However, this particular unit was tired and in need of some basic upkeep. It also had a funky layout. If someone did some basic maintenance and refreshed things like the peeling paint and torn shower curtain, it would show a lot better.

Steamboat Condo
Just enjoyed 3 nights in this unit when we were in Steamboat for a baseball tourney. Condo was spotless, everything as advertised in the profile. Well-stocked kitchen. Great back porch with views of the valley. Saw a fox in the back lawn. We took advantage of the access to the Steamboat Mountain trails right out the back door. High up the mountain even ran into a bear! Hot tub right next to the unit was clean and hot. We did not use the swimming pool or exercise room. The property management company was especially impressive. I have never had such good communication with a company when renting a property. They sent emails and called before, during and after the stay to make sure everything was perfect.

September in Steamboat
We will never forget our week in Seamboat. The condo was perfect and cozy. Plenty of room for relaxing, recuperating from our hikes and cooking. I especially enjoyed the beautiful view of the mountains and ski Resort from the porch while sitting in the Adirondack chairs with a cocktail. Loved everything about steamboat including biking along the Yampa river, the great restaurants, the stunning scenery and the friendly people. Felt like home.

Love Steamboat
I stayed in this unit with a few family members for 6 nights and we loved it! The condo is in immaculate condition, is comfy and cozy. We also loved the location, up the hill from the main resort area. There is a well equipped kitchen for cooking although we ate out a lot in some of the excellent restaurants in Steamboat. The towels provided are especially plush and absorbent!
