"We had a lovely stay at ...

"We had a lovely stay at this property - the owner was a lovely man who looked after any needs we had with no problem - the bungalow itself was clean, spacious and very comfortable. It was situated right in the heart of the tourist area in old hammamet however was just off the street so there was little or no noise - shops right beside it and the beach just across the road. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him and also a big thank you to the driver who picked us up and left us back to the airport both were examples of the kindness and friendlness of Tunisian people".

Sehr angenehmer und zuverlässiger Vermieter.

Kleine und übersichtliche Anlage, die Bungalows haben einen kleinen Renovierungsstau, wobei ich sagen muss das ist ja in Tunesien fast üblich, trotzdem, ich kann es empfehlen.

Great value for money

Although basic, the property was set in a peaceful location and was conveniently located to a good local beach, well stocked shops and an excellent on-site restaurant owned by Moncef, the property's landlord. Both Moncef and the maid were very caring and always available. They helped to make our holiday a success. Thanks.

Die kleine Anlage ist gepflegt und sehr sauber. Nur drei Minuten zum Strand und in der Nähe einige Cafes und Restaurants. City und Port sind mit dem Taxi für kleines Geld zu erreichen.Besitzer und Verwalter waren ausserordentlich nett . Eine Empfehlung wenn man mal abschalten möchte oder die Herbstsonne geniessen will.

Preiswert und bequem.

Ein großzugiges Bungalow in ruhige Gegend. Zwei Schlafzimmer und ein Wohnzimmer mit Kochecke dazu eine Terrasse. Ca. 3 min. Fußweg zum öffentlichem Strand. Genug Einkafsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe. Sehr netter Eigentümer und Verwalter, beide sprechen sehr gut Deutsch. Auch mit Transfer ab und zum Flughafen hat alles wunderbar Geklappt. Auf jeden Fall kann ich nur empfählen. Danke für die schöne Zeit.

Our stay at BUNGALOW EL HOUDA in Hammamet for 10 days has been a very memorable one. The host Moncef is a father figure and a very gentle person. The restaurant attached to the property is expertly headed by his son Heidi - who is an accomplished chef himself. Although all essentials are available in the nearby areas, we quit on our own culirary skills & surrendered ourselves to the expertise of Heidi. The beach in very close by and indeed very clean. The property is a 10 min taxi ride to the old quarters of Hammamet - must visit only if you are interested in fine dining options with exotic views. My next visit to Tunisia is going to be based in this property and most time spent driving around the countryside with this family as our guides!

Love this place

This is the 4th time I have stayed here. I have recommended this to friends who have stayed and enjoyed their holiday. The owner is a lovely man, very helpful, his staff at hand if you have any queries too f he is not available. In a quiet off road position, secure and secluded. It feels very safe. 5 minute walk to beach, restaurant 1 min from your room olivio which is lovely and recently refurbished. Looking at going back in October and will continue next year too. Terri

A nice family vacation haouse

I was there in two beautiful weeks with my sister and here daughter. We loved the place, it was very quite place and in the middle of every thing. The beach was very near, chartage land was very near and the hammemet city was also very near. we felt very secure and was very pleased of the owner Monsef he always asked if we needed any thing and if he we did he helped right away;) the bangalowes feelt very private and no one bothers you when you are there, and it felt like a home for us in these two weeks. we will absolutely rent there again if we travel back to hammamet. Ultimately safe, secure, Fantastic 5mins to beach

The Bungalow It was in general a fantastic stay, pick-up driver/chauffeur service (offered/to be requested with fair charge) was excellent and well organised. I even asked to stopped to the shops before getting into the villa. It was clean, with basic things you need in self-catering, lots of rooms, good plenty of space. Utilities like gas and electric included (electric powered by solar panels which is great for environment). It's better if you tidy up yourself :o) Wifi was acceptably good, there is reception, restaurant as you go into the complex which makes it very secure. It seems like each building is separate so you have good privacy from next doors occupants. Very friendly and the owner, Ben Moncef Aribia really genuinely cares for his customers. Good food at the restaurant enough choices on menu for normal stuff. Good to excellent price for the accommodation. You can leave the bathroom window open, if need be/as necessary, as it has a metal grill for security that no one can come in. Tips: - go to shops get your basic food needs for self catering like bread, snacks, bottled water, AND toilet paper, as well as sponge and a cloth, and washing up liquid (also little laundry powder or liquid) for kitchen cleaning purposes - OR bring washing necessity stuff with you before you travel to avoid buying big amount that you end up wasting or leaving them All in all it was excellent secure, safe, clean, and 5mins walk to the beach / beautiful seaside.

Fantastic location and welcoming, friendly staff

We've just returned from our lovely two week honeymoon here at the El Houda Bungalows. Located in a quiet, but convenient area where you feel very safe to walk around - day or at night. The beautiful beach is only 5 minutes away (there is a small path alongside the Miramar Hotel). There are plenty of souvenier shops, and also supermarkets, butchers, fruit & veg shops all just a short stroll away, so you can get all you need if you prefer self-catering. If not, the L'Olive Restaurant - part of the El Houda complex - serves fresh, homemade food in a relaxed garden settings (depending on the season, there may be a restricted menue, but you will always find something for everyone's taste here). There are also plenty of restaurants around if you don't fancy washing up (we can recommend the Marina Perla for its fresh fish and attentive service). The bungalows are spacious and furnished in traditional Tunisian style. Some might find some of the kitchen utensils a bit basic and dated, but we thought it was fun to get creative and cook with what we had to hand. There are also modern items for your convenience, such as a air-conditioning (hot or cold air) coffee maschine, microwave and flat screen TV. The hot water system is powered by solar power, so nice to see that all is environmental friendly too, so you don't have to feel too guilty enjoying a long hot shower after an 'exhausting' day at the beach. Each bungalow has a patio/terrace which we enjoyed a lot to either have breakfast in the sunshine or dinner by candle light. We really enjoyed our stay here at the El Houda Bungalows as we had our own private space, but in a secure complex and all the conveniences nearby. The lovely caretaker/chef cook/manager seemed to be around 24/7 and always had a lovely smile on his face and was very helpful and hardworking to make our stay even better. We would recommend these bungalows to anyone who is looking for simple comforts in a great location, friendly, personal environment and good value for money rather than the often inpersonal luxuries you get in a 5 Star Hotel. Thank you for being so welcoming and kind. We hope to be back again sometime in the future.

La résidence Elhouda est bien située dans un endroit calme,, à proximité des commerces, une belle plage est à 300 m à pied,. Mr Mouncif le propriétaire est une personne aimable et toujours disponible et serviable, le bungalow est propre, on y trouve tout ce qu'on a besoin ou presque. Je recommande vivement cette résidence, je reviendrai avec plaisir l'année prochaine avec ma famille inchaallah. Finalement merci a Mr Mouncif et a Nabil.

charmant bungalow

Cela fait plusieurs années que je séjourne dans les bungalows El Houda, j'y passe à chaque fois de merveilleuses vacances car c'est calme, en retrait de la route. Moncef, le propriétaire est une personne agréable qui ne manque pas de nous aider en cas de problème, il fait de son mieux pour que les vacanciers soient heureux. Le bungalow est très bien conçus. J'y retourne pour 3 semaines en juin prochain! Je vous conseille vivement cet endroit très sympa!

Perfect place away from all hustle

I was a bit apprehensive about staying here as I always stay in hotels in hammamet. I was pleasantly surprised at what a lovely place this was. It was quiet and homely although due to low season the cafeteria was not open but I'm sure it would have been just as lovely as the bungalow. Moncef is a perfect gentleman and really cared about the tenants. The weather got cold so he made sure the heating stayed on all day and at night although it would have been nicer if there was a hearing control as sometimes it got really very cold. It's great place for families or couples. No on interferes or intrudes with your privacy. The cleaner is also a lovely woman. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting comfort and privacy. It is close to shops and cafes as well as the centre of town. The beach is also close by. I regret that I booked the hotel opposite as this bungalow is a much better option. Thank you moncef for making our stay a memory xx
