We had a great time at the cabin and in Lancaster. There’s a beautiful view of a pasture from the property and it had everything you could need. We hope to stay here again soon!
Absolutely beautiful! Loved the cabin and the town. John is an amazing host. He makes sure everything is taken care of and takes great care of the property. The view is spectacular and fires in the evening. Quiet and very private.Small town has a great charm to it and nice trails for a hike. We will definitely be back, thank you for an amazing weekend
We had a wonderful time! Very pleasant owner that was in communication with us throughout the stay. The view, fires in the fire pit and sunsets were beautiful! Thank you!!!
We were very impressed with communication and with the cabin overall. John did a great job supplying the cabin with all necessities. It was secluded but also so close to town that you can easily get there for anything you need. We look forward to visiting again! Thank you!
I spent most of my time sitting on the porch and enjoying the beautiful view and weather. I way overpacked because pretty much everything needed was provided, including feeding dishes for my dog. Very comfortable, secluded, and quiet but close to Lancaster if you forgot anything.
Came to do some fly fishing and a break from everyday life. Accomplished both, in spite of 90 degree weather. John was an excellent host and helped fill the down time with history of the area. Plenty of information in the cabin about shopping, sightseeing, restaurants in the area, etc. Slept great. Views were outstanding.
We stayed in this Wisconsin cabin for the weekend and we wanted to be able to take the pups with us. Finding places to stay that are truly dog friendly (not everybody has a 5lb chihuahua) is difficult, but this place was amazing. John was very accommodating, while maintaining our privacy. The check in process was seamless and he kept in touch through text. The dogs loved it, so much to see and explore for them. The view was lovely and I enjoyed sitting on the porch and relaxing. We would definitely like to return, I bet the fall is beautiful.

Heaven on Earth!
There are no perfect words to describe this cozy cabin. It was our dream vacation. Everything anyone could need all wrapped up in a warm bow. The owner, John, has thought of everything, down to the tiniest detail. The peaceful property is truly a piece of heaven on earth after fabulous days of fishing, hiking and visiting the local sites. We’ve already book for a longer stay next Spring, which will make for a long Winter of anticipation. Perfect getaway for a working couple and their dog. Thank you, John!

Most of the enjoyment of renting a cabin to the public is meeting the people that come here. I just met the most interesting, respectful and enjoyable couple since I started renting. They were so incredibly thankful for every little thing that is just part of the stay at the cabin. I barely even had to clean up the cabin at all after they left. They even asked if their puppy could sleep upstairs on the floor next to them, most people would not have. Even though the weather did not cooperate they still caught 4 trout and were able to visit some interesting local places within a 35 minute drive. I can hardly wait till they return so we can have happy hour around the outside fire pit. She even took some awesome pictures of the cabin to replace the ones that are on the site which she said do not do the cabin justice. I rate this couple a 10/10, and only wish everyone would be so respectful and appreciative.
We loved the location. Lancaster is only about 8 to 10 min. away for dining or groceries. We chose to cook all of our meals and the kitchen was well equiped for that. The view from the cabin porch is breathtaking and mesmerizing. the cabin is rustic but in excellant shape. The fishoing was a little disapointing as the fish were on the small side and not as plentiful as other places we visited in the driftless area. John, was very helpfull in guidance to the area and responded in minutes to all our inquiries. All in, i would highly reccomend this place for a weekend getaway for couples or a family.
I booked Serenity Bluff cabin for my husband's 40th birthday. He loves to fly fish and the location of the cabin is perfect.
John reached out prior to our arrival date and was extremely hospitable before we even arrived. He stopped by briefly while we were there and we chatted for a bit.
Check in and out was very simple. The cabin was nicely stocked with all the basics. It's close to town (which is cute) but is out in the beautiful western WI countryside. Photos & documentation about the cabin, and town, were located on the table along with maps.
And, the hubby caught his first brown trout (and a few more) in the driftless area!
Highly recommend Serenity Bluff!

You two were perfect guests. Our cabin was put together with people like you in mind. Maybe next year , come back and catch some more fish and celebrate another birthday!!!
The host was excellent. The cabin was very clean and it was stocked with any and every thing one could think of. John was very attentive and replied back within minutes and was super helpful on where to eat. The cabin was spacious. If you are tall expect to duck in the bedroom areas. Not a big deal though at all. Bottom line if you think you are in need of something other than food and it's not stocked in this cabin you just don't need it! And I've never met a better Host. Thank you John.
A wonderful cabin located on a bluff in SW Wisconsin, which all the amenities of home. The cabin was complete with nearly everything you’d need. The owner does an outstanding job of making sure everything is an order when you arrive. The cabin is located only a few miles from a town. Great fishing in the area. Highly recommend and will be back again next year.
This is an outstanding rental. The cabin is the real thing, built by the Amish. Hosts are wonderful. Area is so green and refreshing. Our dog loved it. Great running wooded trails about three miles away added a lot for me and dog Wife loved the little town of Lancaster WI
Great Cabin and Very Entertaining Watching the Cows Below
This was a great cabin with wonderful views. It was very entertaining sitting around the fire on top of the bluff watching the social dynamics of the cow herd below. And thank you John and Cinda for so graciously sending us the necklace we left behind.
Pictures do not do justice to this cabin. It is unreal and the view is breathtaking. Never have we ever had an experience like this. The owner has thought of everything and is so kind that we became instant friends! If you are lucky enough to book this property, it will surely make you as happy as it did us. Thank you for everything!!!!!!
Cozy property with great views and easy access to the Mississippi and Wisconsin Rivers. We enjoyed watching the birds and the cattle moving about in the pasture below. AC was appreciated to escape the heat of the day. Loft ceilings were a bit low for anyone over six feet tall and no bedroom doors prevent any privacy but it is a nice cabin with a lot of creature comforts. We'll definitely consider staying here again.
