About this property

Modern, cozy studio "in the trees" in historic neighborhood; walk to downtown.

This well-appointed studio apt was recently constructed and provides all of the modern creature comforts to ensure a great stay. The queen bed has a memory foam mattress so comfortable you won't want to get out of bed in the morning! There is a privacy curtain to cordon off the bedroom from the kitchen and living area, providing an air of romance. A fully equipped kitchen with stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, coffeemaker, etc. offers everything you need to make your own meals if you decide to forego dining at one of Asheville's many award-winning restaurants (or enjoy leftovers). A good-sized bathroom with a walk-in shower completes the package.

Comfort and serenity were our goals in creating this studio. We curated it with a mix of antiques and mid century furniture that have been lovingly collected over the years.

Tucked away in a peaceful neighborhood, yet only a 12 minute walk to downtown. UNC Asheville and the Botanical Gardens are a short distance away along an urban greenway, as are Whole Foods & Trader Joe's. Like Asheville itself, the studio is eclectic and inviting--you won't want to leave.

Lovely !
We appreciated how clean the place was, and how gracious Robert and Trudi were, checking in to make sure all was OK and making sure we had what we needed! As folks with fragrance sensitivities we were delighted to find fragrance-free hand and dish soap, and no air fresheners or harsh cleaning smells. The bed was comfortable, the heat worked well, and the kitchen was well-appointed with pots, pans and utensils to cook for the week. If you stay there and need a night stand for the right side of the bed, one of the provided luggage racks topped with the wooden tray from the living room works nicely.

Perfect Apartment for Our Visit to Asheville
This studio apartment is lovely and stocked with the necessities for a comfortable stay. We loved that it was an easy walk to downtown, but also in a quiet residential neighborhood. The greenway one block away allowed for peaceful and beautiful morning walks. Robert and Trudi were extremely responsive and offered some good recommendations for restaurants. Nine Mile (a short walk from the apartment) is fantastic! I highly recommend this comfortable and impeccably clean studio apartment for your visit to Asheville.

Perfect Location for Asheville
The property is perfect for a couple who wants to visit Asheville. It is a five minute drive from downtown. The property is a small apartment above a garage with the basics of anything you might need. A bed, a couch/TV, and a small kitchen. It’s a very nice apartment in a safe/historic neighborhood. The owner of the property is the personification of class and hospitality. I would go here again in a heartbeat.

We specially built and designed this studio to host family and friends who moved to other locales and are returning to Asheville for a visit. We have since expanded to host new-found friends coming to Asheville. We enjoy meeting new folks and sharing our love of the mountains and all that Asheville has to offer. Let us welcome you to Asheville with a taste of old-school North Carolina friendliness and charm!

Why they chose this property

Friendly locals who take pride in their neighborhood, host porch parties and tend to well-loved gardens. Dine, dance & party in a wide selection of downtown venues, then retreat to the calm serenity of our well-appointed studio.

What makes this property unique

Quiet retreat nestled among trees with friendly hosts. Located 1 block from the Reed Creek Greenway, an urban trail with a bubbling mountain steam to keep you company as you walk, run or bike through Asheville. Walk neighborhood streets with historic Victorian homes and well-tended gardens to the historic Riverside Cemetery where Thomas Wolfe and other local notables are laid to rest. You will feel miles away from the city, but in fact are close to all of what downtown Asheville offers.
