We enjoyed our stay in the guest house. We just found the parking a hassle because the lot didn't have its own parking lot. John is really kind and communicated well with me and provided us what we needed.
Very nice, very clean, very secure. Check in and check out were very easy! Great communication with John, too. This is close to EVERYTHING. Definitely recommend!
The parking isn't very convenient for someone who is in a wheelchair. We loved the house but again had to leave her wheelchair outside as well as our shoes(which isn't a problem) We felt safe due to needing a code to get into the property. Tje water gets very hot so be careful letting littles play in the tub. We loved havimg the hot water because most places don't usually have good hot water. The beds were very comfortable.
John was helpful and full of relevant information from the beginning when I made the reservation. Even though the weather was bad, it was a joy for the three of us to stay at his accommodation.
The instructions that were issued 3 days before the stay were definite and well defined. It got very hot and warm inside. I wish the bath mat was of non slip kind rather than move each time when you stepped on it.
The house is very clean, it is small but has everything you need, aud it is very centrally located making all of the San Diego attractions minutes away. Parking was not a problem. Our only suggestion is improve the mattresses.
Accommodation was exactly want we were had in mind for our short stay. Clean and equipped as stated. One small thing, the front bedroom was very hard to get around the foot of the bed. I hit my knee on it, so i remedy that problem by putting a pool noodle around it, worked great.
Easy parking and very close to everything we needed. Close to attractions, parks, eateries, and grocery stores. The host was responsive and helpful. I would stay here again!
John was amazing. The property is stunning and I would recommend it to anyone traveling to San Diego. Centrally located to downtown, Coronado Island, and multiple parks. Very clean and off the road so very quiet at night.
This small guest house was ideal for our 12 day vacation in San Diego. Location was perfect for us to walk to seaport village and gaslamp. We even walked to little Italy and balboa park. Otherwise Ubers were quick and reasonably priced for the short distance. The guest house was a private getaway with kitchen set up so that we cooked breakfast every day. We would stay here again and highly recommend it for 3-4 people.

Disliked: Location
The place is as described, with a few exceptions. During our stay, it was quite warm ( we were expecting this) so chose a place with air conditioning…It has air conditioning, but what they don’t tell you is it’s only the bedrooms, and per the host rules, you can only run them with the door closed and only when you are in the place. So because it was actually quite warm when we were there, we couldn’t actually enjoy the living room. The appliances were good.. only used the microwave because too hot to cook ( no dishwasher, so I recommend using very hot water)Also the host asked to leave shoes outside? I’m sorry but no..with cats running around the area I really didn’t want pee or poop in my shoes. The gates were problematic ( it takes several tries to get the close provided to work) but did work and I did feel somewhat safer, but in all honesty I wasn’t expecting people to be sleeping on the sidewalk next to my car.. obviously, not the fault of anyone but the economy and cost of living in San Diego, but knowing what I know now I might have chosen a location closer to convention center as I was traveling for a veterinary conference.Note: there is a small parking lot next to this location but it’s not for use by renters of this unit. Parking was usually within a block, but also I’m sure people were using trash cans to secure prime spots( literally, the only time we could park in front of the gate was the morning we checked out)
bad neiborhood , all concrete, no greenery. furniture old and 50 Style. bathrooms need update.not a good experience

This was a very fun place to stay! It was super nice and clean. The owners/managers are amazing! They communicated very well and I would highly recommend this home.
My family and I were in San Diego to witness my grandson graduating from the Marine’s boot camp. Our experience was absolutely perfect. This property is so cute, immaculately clean, and the beds were comfortable, The owners stayed in contact with us via email making sure we were comfortable and to see if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend staying here!!!!
Great space and gave us a short drive to many great places. Plus having a space for our kids was great too. The owners were easy to communicate with and got back to us quickly. We even walked to Petco Park, even though the downtown walk was a little long and had some issues.
It's a gem. The property is gated, which is a good thing in the area. The location is awesome and convenient access to freeway and all sites and beaches. Very well kept. Enjoyed our stay.

We were very impressed and plan to stay here again when we visit San Diego again. It was conveniently located near everything we had planned to do during our vacation. We highly recommend this vacation rental if you plan to be in the San Diego area!
I was completely satisfied with this cozy property. The only issue was the gas oven did not work. I called the owner and he resolved issue immediately.it is the perfect location. We walked to local restaurants which were many and no issues with walking to to them . evening.restaurant. oe

About the host
Hosted by John Reardon
I grew up in Northampton Massachusetts, a town with countless beautiful old homes and lots of woods. I spent countless days in my youth building tree forts never knowing that those 2 dynamics would intersect at this point. Upon arriving in San Diego with an interest in building and purchasing real estate, I became immediately interested in the largely neglected Victorian buildings in this area of town. This property became a labor of love for me many years ago and I hope that legacy will be carried forward by my 3 sons. My wife if Japanese, so our family often divides our time between 2 very different worlds, both with much to offer.
Why they chose this property
It is our hope that our guests will appreciate the attention to detail and uniqueness of design that has been incorporated into every aspect of this property.
What makes this property unique
This property is strategically located close to most of San Diego's most popular destinations. It's central location and proximity to a newly revitalized downtown, airport, beaches and parks affords our guests the best possible experience while visiting San Diego.
