It was the perfect place to stay! Super close to the marina, they accommodated our schedule, and the outdoor shower and picnic area were awesome. Loved the overlook
Very nice property, liked the area. Only issue was basement had strong musty smell.

Thank you........Was a very wet spring/early summer. Home is older with block and exposed walls in basement. Dehumidifier seemed to be working and we were un-aware it was actually freezing up internally and not working like it should. We experienced the same musty smell and sincerely apologize. New Dehumidifiers for the basement have been ordered.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Huntingdon and Raystown lake. Perfect location, near to both sites. Peaceful property, thanks for being pet friendly- this was lovely. Will definitely stay again!
Was nice, I do wish I would have know the the full bath was in the basement. Stayed with 2 elderly women.

Thank you. It's mentioned in the listing but you are not the 1st who mentioned this......We need to do a better job ensuring our guests are aware of this. Beyond this inconvenience we are glad you enjoyed your stay
The hosts could not have been nicer or more accommodating. With all the rain the grass had grown quickly and they had it mowed the very next day. My kids loved the outdoor shower and the dog loved the yard. The house is so convenient to the 7 Points Marina and the cute town of Huntingdon. Thank you for everything!

Thank You, looking forward to hosting you again when you visit again.
The home was super cute and easy to find. Backyard was nice and very spacious for the kids to play. Loved the overlook. The back deck was perfect for morning coffee and just relaxing in the evening after a long day on the lake. Will definitely book for our next lake trip!
Great stay in Huntington - a great bench w view for morning coffee! Also had firepit which we never got the time yo use in our shirt visit. We liked the fireplace for warmth in the chilly morning and evening. Don't forget linens! Kitchen had everything we needed as noted in some other reviews. Thanks!!
My wife and I loved this property. It’s nice and secluded which is perfect for introverts like us. There was plenty of room for our boat and it’s minutes from the Snyders run boat launch. The outdoor spaces were perfection. Most of our time was spent outdoors especially the seating that overlooks the mountain. The kitchen was so well stocked I especially appreciated the sharp knives. The property owners were incredibly nice and helpful. Nothing but good things to say about this property I would definitely not hesitate to book again.
Wonderful place with all of the necessities you will ever need for a vacation... I surely over packed and they had a great set up here... even had all the condiments in the fridge!!! I'd say the only down fall was the mattress were a bit lumpy....LOL But we had a nice time and it has a wonderful view of the valley below and an awesome fire pit in the back yard!
Although the weather was very hot it did not keep us from doing whatever we wanted to do. The view was wonderful with a sitting deck in the side of the mountain, a back porch with table and chairs, and a little fish pond in the front. We did not get to use the pavilion but it was very nice.
The house itself was beautiful inside and out with plenty of rooms to sleep and relax.
We will be back next year. A great place with a courteous owners. Thank you Adam.

Fine, not amazing
The location of this property is beautiful. The beds are terribly uncomfortable, all the sheets and bedding are old and musty and there are no towels for showering (which is says in the listing in fine print, but beware). Overall, it was suitable for a shower, but i wouldn't hang out there for any reason.
I grew up in the area and wanted to rent a place close to my parents. The weather was a bit uncooperative and I reached out to Adam, who was more than gracious and accommodating. He made sure that someone plowed the parking area and shoveled the walk. The wood stove was perfect! The house is very conveniently located to the lake, town, and other areas of potential interest. I found the bed to be comfortable and the kitchen had adequate pots, pans, dishes. I plan to rent again in the future!
Oh, and it has an amazing view!!!
We relished the mountaintop location, despite bad weather, and the setting was genuinely lovely. The house has loads of vintage charm and character. Well-equipped kitchen, with plenty of serving utensils and dishes. Guest-friendly touches in the bathrooms, like soaps and shampoo, were very special. We ended up spending most of our time at a local college event. Still, we would not have hesitated to kick back at the house, weather permitting, to enjoy the outdoor fire pit, overlook sitting area, cookout deck and table, and basement card table. WiFi was solid and strong. Our elderly pup felt at home and took lots of power walks around the huge backyard. Two side notes, depending on your travel companions: Inside steps to the basement level would be fine for most, but older folks/dogs and/or little ones, might find them a tad steep. Also, if guests are extra tall, the ceilings are low in some places. Overall, hosts were very thoughtful about the details and we would definitely consider staying at the mountaintop home again!

I had to contact Adam the day we arrived at the property as he never returned my e-mails or phone calls, so we could get into the property. When I talked to him he said he didn't get over to clean after the other occupants had left. The place was dirty inside and out. The floors were not swept, dishes were left in drainer in sink and dish washer. We had to fix our own beds. The oven was such a mess that every time we used it the fire alarm went off. My one sister tried to clean it one day but it is really a mess. We could not use the picnic area as it was really filthy. there were cob webs going down the basement where we had to go shower and in the bathroom. Bathroom was not clean. The front porch was not swept off and the storm door has no handle on it and is in bad shape. The back porch is a mess also. We used the grill once as only the center burner would work. We used the dish washer once and it made all kinds of noises and ran for 2 hours so we just shut it off. We stripped the best as requested upon leaving and did some sweeping in the house and made sure all the trash was taken care of before we left. My sisters and I feel we should get a partial refund because of the shape this house was in. I don't know if you handle this or not but we were very unsatisfied with this place and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Never had such a disappointing place to stay in the 17 years we have been doing this. Pat Chernicky

Pat,
I apologize for your sour taste about our home. We have many repeat guests that love our property. We are not a 5 star hotel. As stated in the description of the property we do not have a maid service. We also state that linens are onsite or you can bring your own and the bed sizes are listed. Most guests prefer them to be off so if they do use our linens they know they are clean and not used by the prior guest.
We ask that the prior guests leave the home in a neat and orderly fashion for the next guest. Most guests are kind and mindful that someone will be coming in behind them. The picnic area was dirty, it's under a Pavillion in the mountains. They get wiped down, and show dirt a short time after. The squirrels for whatever reason really enjoy eating their acorns and walnuts on the tables and leave a mess.
The home is on top of a mountain, the wind blows hard and leaves and debris frequently end up on the porch and deck. It's gets blown off from time time, I apologize that it was not swept off for your stay. The storm door does need replaced or repaired but is functional, it is on my to do list. In regards to communication, I promptly responded to emails, and messages through VRBO. Their was a call with a voicemail I missed and I apologize. I communicate with most guests through email and text in regards to check-in. The inability for you to get the attachents through email or text led to some of the issues. I'm sorry your stay did not meet expectations. You mentioned it was one of your worst in your years of traveling. Likewise your review was my worst in my many years of sharing this home. I appreciate your feedback and will work to get better.
Property is very cute and clean. The kitchen had everything needed plus some. Tons of spices for any kind of cooking you may want to do. The shower is large which was a hit with the guys. Large yard. The bottom firepit area is large and shaded which was great for the hot days we had while we re there. The owner was easy to communicate with. And always responded quickly. We would recommend to anyone and we would stay here again. One of the biggest plusses is we could bring our dogs. There were dog treats in the cabinet too.
This place was very cute with lots of space and rooms for several guest. They had lots of brochures for the area attractions and family games as well. I would highly recommend staying here.
