Wonderful location, beautiful house

From the large open living space, to the outdoor spaces, this house has it all. Our family felt comfortable in this large house, without ever feeling my lost with so much space. It was easy to stay connected with one another.Everything that you need, other than groceries, is available at this house. Don't hesitate to reserve and have your own unique visit.

Stunning Property!

Upon arrival, our jaws dropped! The pictures don't do it justice. The home was gorgeous and in a lovely neighborhood, and so clean, and so well stocked....but ohhh those views!!! I wish we could have stayed longer to just linger and bask in its beauty! Everything was perfect from check-in to check-out, and communication with the owner was exceptional. If I could give this vacation home 10 stars I would. Thanks so much for sharing your home and helping us make wonderful family memories...

This property is absolutely amazing. The views are epic. All the details have been thought of. 5 minutes from Nederland, which is a great little town. 25 minutes from Boulder via a beautiful drive through the canyon. We got 8 inches of snow on our first day and it felt like we were in a fairy tale. This home and property are top notch, highly recommend.

Modern Luxury in Mtns

We loved our weekend stay nestled up above Nederland. Views make it feel remote and mountainous, but being so close to adorable town was a life saver for food runs & groceries. Floorplan worked perfect for our group of 7, with teens, elementary kiddos & 2 parent suites. The beds (3 king beds - so fabulous!) were super comfy & cozy, the kids loved the bunk room (thank you for having comfy mattresses there too) and plenty of room for dining.

Thanksgiving Mountain Wedding

We booked a 1 week stay over Thanksgiving for a small family wedding. The house was very clean with beautiful views of the mountains. The check-in process was very easy and the in-home guidebook made for a great resource! One thing that was an oversight on our part is that there is no access to the garage, however the covered carport protected our vehicles nicely. Overall, it was a great house and the hosts were very easy to work with! The amazing views and massive windows were an added bonus! We would definitely recommend this VRBO to other families!

Think twice

The owner described her place as “the ritz” but in honesty it is a lower end Marriott with a ritz price tag... Nederland is a wonderful area and while the house is poorly designed the views from mountain facing rooms are lovely. The bedrooms are large and nice but only one living area which felt small. The outdoor deck is narrow with mountain, but no sunset or sunrise views. The kitchen is not very well equipped for a group. Only TV is your own subscription ( Netflix etc) and Internet is not strong enough for more that two to work from home. They KEPT our security deposit for silly reasons “stained the white towels”! “Cracked a melamine bowl”! We did have pets which they approved -their cleaning charge is high- reflecting the expected pet clean up... yet they use this as another reason to keep security deposit. If you choose this property you should know who you are dealing with- and As much as we love Nederland I believe there are better choices.

For the most part, it was an ideal stay

Overall, I would consider booking again. There is no doubt the place was beautiful, not just the scenery alone, but the building itself was gorgeous inside and outside. From the moment you walk in, the place was breathtaking. The contact person, Tracy, was responsive to the call we made on the first day regarding issues that were broken. We did have four issues. Yes, wifi is provided, but it is satellite internet which we tested was about 10MBs down. To be fair, you cannot expect perfect WIFI in the location that you were in. One netflix movie going in the living room was fine. But add anything else to the mix and you will be going at a crawl. Some of the items were broken when we arrived: The outdoor grill did not ignite and required the use of a lighter. The ice machine did not work, but ice was provided in the freezer in a bag. The locks on the external doors are very annoying to operate. Did we figure out how to use them? Yes, with the help of the binder that provided decent instructions and why they are used (for the elements). Was it still very annoying? Yes. Finally, the cleaning requirements. They had a binder that requested certain things be done which I believe were not standard. For example, they asked us to do one load of towel laundry before we leave. Why? Is that not part of the cleaning fee? Overall, I would come and book here again. I would research first at better options, but this would place I'd still consider!

Advance wedding party

Great views and comfortable environment with living room and deck. Layout allow for the bridal party to separate for many hours with hairdresser and make up teams for the women.

The perfect place to be when you're snowed in

The property was stunning. It was a great set up for 7 adults (needing 4 bedrooms). Every bedroom had their own bath and was clean and spacious. The kitchen/dining/living area was perfect for everyone to hang out, cook and play games. This property was off the beaten path but close enough to Nederland for necessities. We were able to see a herd of elk out the living room window! Beautiful!

Thanksgiving in Nederland

Pictures accurately depict the home. Architecturally stunning, wide open space between kitchen, dining and family room. Great views of the mountains. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was well equipped for a Thanksgiving meal. Definitely need 4-wheel drive in the winter as mentioned in description. We had an awesome trip - everyone loved the house

Beauty in the Mountains

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous home. All the amenities were there to use: fans, kitchen items, cleaning supplies, etc. There was plenty of space for all of us to spread out but intimate enough for together time. The amazing fireplace was our favorite! We absolutely loved the view and the snowfall made it even more beautiful. We loved how secluded the home was, but Nederland was only a few minutes away. The host was very easy to get a hold of and helped us through the check in process. We didn't really have any complaints about this property and would definitely recommend it to others!

Perfect mountain home!

Our family of 8, including 2 small children, had an amazing 2 week stay here! The views were spectacular, the house had a perfect layout for us with plenty of room for all. The kitchen was so well equipped and the nature right out the back door couldn’t be matched anywhere. We loved the trailhead that was literally a 3 minute walk from the house. Also, loved Brainard Lake recreation trails that were only 30 minutes away. We would highly recommend this home to everyone!

Beautiful Home with Stunning Views

We visited in May for my son’s graduation. The house is gorgeous, giant windows with incredible Mountain Views. The furniture is both modern and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and the house is large enough for our family of 5. The town is a short drive, about five minutes and has everything you need. This is a wonderful home that we would be happy to visit again.

Downtown Boulder is less than 22 minutes away via the Scenic Boulder Canyon along Boulder Creek (must see).
Our property was featured on Discovery Channel for our Outdoor Patio Bar with a 1941 restored Flexble Bus (like in the movie RV)!

What makes this property unique

At an elevation of 8500, Caribou Ridge is literally a "donut hole" surrounded by Open space and national forrest with established and marked trails for hiking, biking, horses, 4X4 and endless mountain activities. A cool retreat from warmer summer temperatures while also only minutes to NEDERLAND AND 22 MINUTES TO BOULDER. Eldora Ski Resort is 12 minutes away for winter sports. At 8500 the altitude is still very comfortable for any age and active lifestyle choice. Caribou Ridge also enjoys a deep history due to its history with Caribou Ranch (a famous rock & roll music studio worth reading about) and the rich Mining history. The trail system is unlike anything else in Boulder County. Trails literally link to the property, and given we are among the aspen and evergreen trees, this makes these the most beautiful trails in Colorado! All trails are marked and monitored by Boulder County rangers so they are clean, safe and simply amazing! Mountain biking, hiking, horses, and even 4x4 ATV trails are open and connected to our property alleviating the need to drive to trail heads. JUST OPEN THE DOOR!
