Our custom post and beam cabin sits on three acres at the end of private road and borders thousands of national forest acres and it’s been our home for the last 3 years.


***WE CONTINUE TO IMPROVE OUR DRIVEWAY EVERY YEAR BUT YOU STILL WANT TO USE 4WD OR AWD WITH GREAT TIRES TO GET TO OUR HOUSE IN THE WINTER***

We offer a unique home where you have huge divide views while listening to the river running in the valley below, with national forest bordering us you can hike for miles from our doorstep.

Tucked away from it all yet close to Nederland (7 Miles), Blackhawk/Central City/Casiono's (14 Miles) Boulder (24 Miles) Denver (41 Miles) and DIA (63 Miles)

Perfect summer temperatures at 8200 feet. Great hiking and mountain biking trails from the house. Fall foliage is amazing with aspen meadow on property. Exciting winter activities all close by including Eldora downhill and cross country skiing 11 miles away.

Hot tub on deck for relaxing and star gazing. Hand carved 20 foot wildlife totem pole and breathtaking mountain views make this getaway unique.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
Please leave key on key ring and place on hook along with garage door opener. Replacing opener is $100 fee.
Make sure single key is in lockbox and only bottom handle of front door is locked, please do not dead bolt when leaving.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Leave house how you found it. No refunds if cancelled within 60 days of arrival.

Great mountain getaway

We enjoyed the cabin in the mountains. It was clean comfortable and well-stocked. The owner was helpful and it was easy to self-checkin. The location is remote, but town is only 15 minutes away.

Nederland Cabin

My family had a great time at the cabin. It was about 10 minutes from Nederland so it was the perfect location for us. Plenty of rooms and clean. Simple instructions for checking in and out. Oh and the hot tub was an absolute plus!

Amazing Views!

Property was everything we were hoping for. The expansive deck provided amazing views and plenty of space for 8 of us to enjoy grilled dinners each night. Hot tub was great for the evenings and the property makes you feel truly remote.

Beautiful wedding

Great place for simple relaxation. We had a great weekend with family. We were a little sad that we were not able to use the grill due to no gas for the grill but we still had a great time.

Beautiful views

Our mother had never seen the mountains. Her favorite part of our visit to CO was sitting on the deck, enjoying the view of the mountains. The rest of us enjoyed spending time hiking in the very nearby National Forest. We already have our next stay here booked!

Family get together

Overall we had a great time. Great views. The kids had fun hiking. Our trips to Boulder and Nederland were a blast from the past. The trail up to the cabin is not for unskilled drivers.

great place to stay

The house was great. Loved the hot tub after a day of skiing. Right after we got there a moose graced us with his presents it was amazing. We will definitely be staying there again. Wish we would have stayed longer. My daughter is a ski instructor at eldora. The town is so cute and they have great places to eat lunch or dinner. Thank you

What a view!

This place was simply amazing! The views were AWESOME!! We had a small wedding and it was perfect! The driveway was steep but all the vehicles made it up fine, even the cars! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to escape the city!

What an amazing house.

We stayed here so we could go snowboarding in Eldora. The house was located only 15 minutes away. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. The views were amazing to wake up to every morning. The afternoon we were able to see Elk from the huge deck. We had a great time.

Wonderful Trip!

I would recommend this home to any family! It is incredible with plenty of space. The view is beautiful and the deck is the perfect place to relax and spend time with family and friends! Beautiful home in a great location - killer views

We visited Ned for a friends Bachlorette party. This home was perfect. Tons of space for the 7 of us. Sprawling decks and two living areas. There are hiking trails right from the house. The weather didn’t cooperate but the hot tub made it all better! Thanks David for your hospitality and a lovely weekend.

Scenic property in the woods. Not updated and had poor Wifi, but overall, we enjoyed our stay. The fourth, smallest bedroom did not work well--no windows and loud noise from the furnace that adjoined the room.

Amazing host and property

Property was nicely tucked away without being too hard to access. Definitely do need 4wd or awd to get up the driveway but it's doable. The deck had an amazing view, tons of space and a wonderful place to get away for a bit. Every morning the hummingbirds were great company. All in all would definitely recommend.

We had a great time. Family of 9. Amazing views, kitchen has everything you need, comfy beds and enough space for everyone. Cons: the jacuzzi was not working, the thermostat were not showing the current temperature and the water in the walk in basement did not warm. Recommend for families! Great bonding time and plenty to do! Just 20 min to the Eldora Ski Resort and 10 min to small super friendly Nederland.

Great Location

Great Location. Hot tub was perfect for 4 people. Wi-Fi worked really well. No cell phone service through Verizon. Place was not very clean and had lots of ants. Had to buy some ant traps because there were so many. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.

Why they chose this property

What's great about this property is that it's very private, with no drive by traffic and surrounded by national forest. There's hiking and biking trails from the home and we're close to Nederland yet it feels very remote.

What makes this property unique

Our home is unique because you can actually hear the river while enjoying the huge view of the mountains, (continental divide) Since we're surrounded by national forest, we have many animals come visit and that's what inspired the hand carved 20' Totem Pole that stands in front of our home. If you want privacy, this is it, we back to National Forest and at end of driveway.
