AMAZING 4 bedroom Virginia Highlands Estate steps from bars and restaurants

Best house in Virginia Highlands! Nightly, weekly or monthly rental. Spectacular finishes and furnishings. I live nearby but not here, none of my personal items are in the house. Walk to bars restaurants, and shops.

The space
This house was completely renovated in 2009 so you will be walking into a perfect modern house! It is beautifully decorated and the kitchen has everything you need to make a gourmet meal. There are four bedrooms, two with king beds and two with queen beds. There are two bathrooms upstairs, one is accessed from the master bedroom and the back queen bedroom and the other is accessed through the hallway. Three of the four bedrooms have smart TVs. Downstairs there is an office that closes with a sofa, the sofa does not pull out but it might work for someone. I also have a foldout twin cot with a mattress. It’s a little better than a cot but not quite a folding bed. There is a half bath downstairs. The upstairs deck is accessed through the two front bedrooms. This deck and the downstairs porch are so nice to hang out on! I have two gas heaters for the downstairs porch, I do not supply the gas, there may be some in the tank, if not Ace hardware is across the street and they will refill them for about $20. I had solar panels installed and a tankless water heater so having enough hot water for showers should not be a problem. There are four parking spaces to use. This is almost unheard of in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood. There are many many restaurants and bars that are walking distance.

Guest access
The house has smart TV's in three of the bedrooms as well as the living room. The house has a HULU subscription that gets all channels and live TV. There are four bedroom, two have king beds and two have queen beds. I have a folding twin bed/cot if needed. The home is two miles from downtown, about a mile to Midtown and Piedmont Park, one mile from Little 5 points, two miles from Emory and the house is ground zero for fun! The belt line is a mile away and is so much fun to bike! The property is on a double lot and has three small rentals in the back. There are eight parking spaces on the back parking pad, four are for the main house and four are for the three back units.

This house was perfect for friends and family to stay in for our daughter’s wedding at The Piedmont room. The bride and wedding party actually got ready in the large dining room. Great location, easy access, beautiful historic and romantic house. Everything is as advertised. The just, Nancy, was great to work with and we will definitely stay in again!

Can’t say enough good things. Nancy was responsive and kind, the house was awesome, clean, and beautiful, and the neighborhood was fabulous - charm, character and convenience. We stay a lot of places and this house would be at the top of our list. We had a family of 7 and had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the indoors and outdoors on the covered and second level porches.

Amazing Home!!

The home was STUNNING and perfect for our family! We hosted our family in this lovely home for our wedding weekend and also hosted our rehearsal dinner there. It’s exactly what you see in the listing and even more. So spacious, spotless, and in the best location. Would recommend this home to anyone visiting Atlanta or if you’re looking to host any large groups of out of town guests. Owner is communicative and so friendly - answered our many questions :) so quickly and kindly.

Great Location

We stayed here for Thanksgiving weekend and it was a memorable weekend. Location does not disappoint, and off-street parking was provided. The problem we encountered is that there was no actual fifth bedroom with twin beds. There is a first-floor office with a full foldout sofabed, but nothing else will fit in that room. There's a foldaway bed in a closet of one of the upstairs bedrooms, but that foldaway would need to stay in one of the upstairs rooms. Based on the makeup of our group, there was no elegant solution to where people slept other than to utilize the couch in the family room. Also, one of the two full bathrooms is jack-and-jill style between two bedrooms with no external access. Luckily our group was flexible and easy. The kitchen was well enough appointed (except for forks) and household products like paper towels, trash bags, hand/dish/laundry soap were all on hand. Also note that rental scooters by Uber/Lime/Byrd are scattered around the neighborhood and easy to use. All in all it was a good stay except for the bedroom configuration. And we probably expected too much given the premium we paid for the holiday weekend.

Thank you for letting me know about the forks, I will be purchasing them today. I also wish there was a fifth bedroom, the pull out sofa and the twin folding beds are the best I can do to accommodate large groups.

Beautiful historic home in VA Highlands. Accommodated our family and provided us with the amenities we needed to enjoy our 1 week stay. Neighborhood is a little busy, but wasn't a significant issue for our stay.

Family Style Accommodations in the Heart of VA-HI

This property is absolutely fabulous for families who want to gather for special events, such as weddings or graduations, and/or holidays, and who want to have a comfortable space to visit and relax. It has an open floor plan on the first floor and is very spacious, a large fabulous, updated kitchen, plenty of bedrooms on the second floor (we slept 11 comfortably with one family on the pullout sofa in the office on the first floor), and two amazing porches with gas patio heaters. It was the perfect place for our family who gathered for my son's wedding and was a great house for entertaining extended family and friends who dropped by to say hello. Even though the property is an older estate, the interior is light and served as the perfect backdrop for photos of the groomsmen getting ready. The furnishings and beds were extremely comfortable and there were plenty of electrical outlets for charging electronics! Parking and bathrooms are limited but were not negatives. The property is located across the street from several bars that are active on the weekends, something to keep in mind if late night noise is an issue for you. It wasn't for us and just added to the festive environment of our wedding weekend. Our host Nancy was fabulous! She was responsive to our questions and needs and was extremely hospitable. Thank you, Nancy, for a fantastic stay in such a beautiful home!

The house met our needs. 9 siblings and spouses stayed there to attend a niece’s wedding. They also hosted a Sunday brunch for about 80 wedding guests the morning after the wedding.

Perfect property for college graduation

This was the perfect house for our family to gather to celebrate our youngest graduating from Georgia Tech. The house has an open concept that worked well for cooking, watching TV and visiting. Nancy is a very responsive host. We had a LOT of entertainment sitting on the front porch watching people come and go across the street (Dark Horse Tavern). We also enjoyed the local restaurants and walking to the beltline.

Exquisite estate home in the heart of Virginia Highands

We stayed here with close friends during our daughter's wedding. What a beautifully-appointed, comfortable home! Spacious, gracious, with wide front porches on the first and second floors to gather and experience the character and activity of Virginia Highlands! The interior is luxurious with welcoming plush furniture, exquisite chandeliers everywhere, and heavenly beds! A beautiful kitchen with marble countertops and gas stove offers all of the tools you might need, and then some. A separate office provides privacy for work, reading. The host, Nancy, is immediately responsive and absolutely delightful!! We will definitely be back, as all in our group just felt so at home here -- this house just does that to you. If you even think this home might meet your needs, it will meet and exceed them. I've already done the work for you; just say "yes" to this home.

We stayed in Nancy's home for a bachelorette party with 10 girls. The house was clean and fit all of us perfectly. The house was in an AMAZING location with bars, restaurants, and grocery stores in walking distance. Highly recommend this house to stay in and if we ever come back to Atlanta, I will be renting this again!

My husband and I purchased this home in 2012 to use as a vacation rental. We live just a mile away so we are always nearby if needed. We have two small children so if you are traveling with children I can provide all that kid stuff needed to make your stay easy.

Why they chose this property

This has always been our favorite house. It is a landmark house in our favorite neighborhood. After touring the house we could not believe that the interior of the house was better than imagined! Someday maybe we will make it our primary residence but for now the home is for sharing.

What makes this property unique

The open floor plan is just perfect for entertaining! The kitchen is spectacular! I have furnished this house with furnishings that belong in such a residence - 'just a rental' is not in my vernacular! The beds have 600 thread count sheets and down comforters. The towels are soft and fluffy. The pots and pans are all Calfalon.
