Simply the best

Paolo and Antonio are the most wonderful people. They treated us like family and it was wonderful to know they were nearby. The apartment was cute and clean and felt like home. If we return to Siena, will be definately stay here again!

Casa Giulia was perfect in every way. The hosts Paola and Antonio were amazingly kind, warm and gracious. They made us feel like we were old friends or family. The house was comfortable and spacious for two, the kitchen well equipped, and the queen size bed comfortable. The welcome basket upon arrival was an incredibly nice touch - especially the bottle of their own olive oil from the olives grown in the grove behind the apartment. The location was convenient for seeing the sites in Siena, shopping at the local coop supermarket, and getting to the train station. We hated to leave after our two week stay!

Refreshing!

Paula & Antonio are the sweetest & cutest couple & host. Even though they didn’t speak English & we didn’t speak Italian we communicated very easily thru “translate”! They went out if their way to help us w/our BIG luggage & everything we needed to get to & from the Palio. They are amazing. We highly recommend their “homey” place.

Outstanding hosts - highly recommended

There can be no more helpful, thoughtful and good people in VRBO than Antonio and Paulo. They drove us into town to show us the exact location of the buses. One evening we cooked dinner using Antonio's tomatoes, and pesto and pasta that were provided in the kitchen. Buses are a 5 minute walk away. There are 2 choices of restaurants that are a 10 minute walk - an informal campground but don't let that fool you, the food was good and the individual pizzas are very generous. The food at the Villa Scacciapensieri was excellent with outdoor seating overlooking the countryside and a consummate maitre d' who speaks 4 languages fluently. This was a highlight of our trip to Italy.

Wonderful Soggiorno!

I had a wonderful three-week stay at Casa Giulia, while I studied at the Universita per Stranieri. The apartment is simple, but fully equipped and extremely pleasant. The location is excellent - it is outside the city walls, but within nice walking distance of the Universita and a quick walk (~8 min) to the COOP Supermarket. There is a bus stop, only 3-4 min walk from the apartment, that will take you to the Train Station, Universita or Siena Centro. Most important, the hosts, Paola and Antonio, are two of the nicest people on the planet. They were extremely friendly, helpful and generous - they quickly became more friends than "landlords". I hope to return and stay with them again and I recommend Casa Giulia most highly and without any reservations.

Wir wurden von Paola und Antonio vom Bahnhof abgeholt und herzlich empfangen. sie haben uns über alles Wichtige informiert. Ihre Gastfreundschaft war sehr wohltuend. Sie verwöhnten uns immer wieder mit feinen Spezialitäten und wir konnten herzlich mit ihnen lachen. Auch haben sie uns ins Olivenpflücken eingeführt. Die Wohnung liegt in der Nähe einer Bushaltestelle. Sie ist sehr ruhig und von der Terrasse aus hat man eine schöne Aussicht auf den Olivenhain und die Basilica dell' Osservanca. Wir können die Wohnung gut weiterempfehlen.. Wir konnten unsere Jubiläumsreise auf den Spuren des Hl Dominikus und der Hl. Katharina von Siena geniessen. Sr. Johanna und Sr. Andrea, Schweiz

Un grand merci à Paola et son mari pour leur accueil exceptionnel. Ils sont venus nous chercher à la gare, donné plein de conseils, remis un panier d accueil avec plein de bonnes choses, à manger, des hôtes parfaits ! L appartement est très bien équipé, il y a même une petite terrasse privée. Il est à 30 min à pied du centre de Sienne mais le chemin pour y parvenir est très agréable. Le supermarché à 10 min à pied et il y a aussi des bus. Rien à redire, nous recommandons vivement !

Hele leuke woning met uiterst aardige mensen

Compleet ingericht met een heel goed bed, achter een lekker terras met uitzicht. Er waren allerlei etenswaren aanwezig, inclusief kersen uit eigen tuin. Heel leuk dat er ´s-nachts een vuurvliegje door de slaapkamer vloog. Wij hadden de fietsen mee, het was wel lastig om in het centrum te komen wat hoog op een heuvel ligt. je moet er helemaal om heen. Ook mochten we daar uitgebreid de was doen!

Lovely place among olive grove estates

Paola and Antonio were wonderful hosts who met our train and drove us to the unit which is right next to their home, and drove us to the station when we left. We enjoyed the quiet peaceful atmosphere and gladly walked 15 minutes down the rural road from which we then rode 7 escalators up to the old city (or you can take a boring bus). The flat was spotless and well equipped. Paula stocked sufficient goodies for a much appreciated light breakfast. Large COOP food store at bottom of rural road. Antonio provides his own homemade olive oil. Great experience overall

Herrlich ruhig und schön gelegen mit extrem netten Vermietern.

Die Wohnung ist für 2 Personen sehr großzügig mit eigener Terrasse mit Blick ins Grüne. Es ist alles notwendige vorhanden was man braucht und Bushaltestelle ist wenn man zügig geht 3 min entfernt. Mit dem Bus in die Stadt ca. 15 min je nach Verkehrslage. Absoluter Pluspunkt waren die sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Vermieter, an die man sich freundschaftlich wenden konnte und die immer Tipps z.B. zu Sightseeing und Essen geben konnten. Siena an sich ist wirklich eine sehr schöne Altstadt mit mittelalterlichem Ambiente. Wir waren im Frühling dort und alles ist wunderschön grün bei angenehmen 22 Grad. Perfekter Ausgangspunkt um die Toscana zu erkunden. Wer sich tägliches Busfahren sparen möchte, sollte sich einen Mietwagen nehmen, bekommt dann aber von Land und Leuten weniger mit. Insgesamt wunderschöne Landschaft mit tollen mittelalterlichen extrem gut erhaltenen Altstädten.

My second Italian family!

I spent four full weeks in Casa Giulia, as I was attending language school in the nearby Università per Stranieri di Siena. I had been searching for a small apartment without success until providentially I came across this listing. It seemed perfect in every way, private and close to the school. Little did I know that I would be enjoying the company and care of the most remarkable Italian family. I arrived late, my car rental developed an issue, my luggage missed my connection and this amazing family stepped in to assist me each and every time. The padrona of the house, Paola, made me two delicious, authentic dinners during my stay and invited me for caffè and conversation numerous other times as did her daughter Alessia. I even helped amico mio Antonio harvest his olives! When it was time to finally leave Siena, they drove me to the train station where I literarily wept in their arms. I know I haven't said much about the apartment, which again was perfect for me, but the real joy of my experience was sharing my Italian experience with these wonderful, beautiful people! Ti voglio bene a tutti! Paola, Antonio, Alessia, Ricardo, Giulia, Sara, e Andrea!

Très joli appartement extrêmement bien équipé avec bon goût. Une petite cour très agréable pour prendre le petit-déjeuner et le dîner dehors. Extrêmement bien situé pour visiter la ville et les environs. Accueillis par des propriétaires très chaleureux, vraiment charmants. On avait l'impression d'être chez des amis de longues dates. Le propriétaire nous a fait profiter très généreusement de ses légumes du jardin et des oeufs de ses poules. Un séjour vraiment très agréable, hélas trop court. C'est une location que je recommande vivement. Merci encore à Paola et Antonio pour leur accueil et leur gentillesse

Un séjour inoubliable !

Paola et Antonio sont des personnes hors du commun, très dévoués, disponibles, généreuses et très gentilles. Un accueil plus que chaleureux. L'appartement est très joli et très propre. Il est bien situé dans un endroit calme. Une jolie terrasse oû l'odeur du jasmin agrémente notre fin de journée. Il est très bien équipé. Merci Paola et Antonio.
