House with character in Sennouillac with swiming pool

House of character built in the 18th, around a dovecote in a small hamlet near Gaillac, near Albi and Cordes-sur-Ciel, amid the vineyards of Gaillac and on the road of the "bastides Albigeoises". House in original stone decorated with care.
His position gives him a beautiful view over the vines, the village of Mauriac and his castle. A swimming pool at a small distance from the terrace can enjoy full or this one or the terrace, always remainig calm; this pool is closed by a flexible barrier to standards.
The kitchen is comfortably equipped. Large dining room for meals. Fair organized around the old baker's oven (unfortunately not working) and the fireplace (functional). Three rooms are available, two rooms have views over the vineyards, with direct access to the outside, the first very large (30 m²) hosts a double bed and 2 single beds. The second (20 m²) a double bed + cot if necessary. A third smaller room on the mezzanine above the living room has a double bed.

Such a lovely house! We had a wonderful time. The pool is great, the terrasse is perfect, and there is a boulangerie just down the road. Communication with the host was impeccable (even when we couldn't get the washing machine to work). It's wise to bring anti-mosquito protection, or head asap to Leclerc to get what you need. Otherwise, idyllic!

Ne venons de passer 10 jours de vacances au top dans cette très belle et spacieuse maison !Tout y est pour y vivre un agréable séjour: maison fraîche et très bien décorée avec magnifique vue sur le château, grande piscine sécurisée, tout les équipements nécessaires pour la vie de tous les jours et le tout dans une région attrayante et dynamique !Sans oublier l’excellent accueil et la communication avec les propriétaires des lieux .Nous recommandons ce lieu à 200% !

Très bon séjour passé à Sénouillac. La maison est magnifique, très bien décorée et spacieuse. La piscine est très grande, idéale pour s’amuser en famille, faire des longueurs et même des plongeons ! Très bon accueil, les deux dames sont très gentilles et conseillent sur la région. Le propriétaire est disponible, réactif par téléphone et de bon conseil (visites, itinéraire d’arrivé etc…) La région est très jolie, beaucoup de beaux villages à visiter, Carcassonne à 2h ! Balades en Canoë sur l’Aveyron et jeux d’eau à moins de 10min Nous recommandons à 10000% cette maison ! Merci beaucoup pour tout !!

Maison de caractère très agréable et fonctionnelle

Excellent séjour dans le calme et la tranquillité. Proche des commodités et de Gaillac, verdure et bien équipée. Piscine très agréable.

Superbe gîte

Nous avons adoré le gîte et nous avons eu beaucoup de mal à en sortir pour visiter les environs tellement nous y étions bien. Emplacement idéal, retiré mais pas trop avec une très belle vue sur le village de Mauriac et son château.. La difficulté à y trouver du réseau rappelle que nous sommes en vacances. Alors on peut se laisser aller, en éteignant le portable, en observant les belles pierres qui racontent l'histoire du gîte, en écoutant les cigales et...en plongeant dans la piscine. Le paradis !

A delightful house in a beautiful landscape

We spent a week at Senouillac in August and would be delighted to return some day. The house is cool (even in the heat) and spacious for four or five people, and has a real sense of being a traditional French home. The terrace under the pigeonnier (the centuries old pigeon loft) has beautiful views out over the valley to the village of Mauriac nearby. Sitting under the pergola having supper as the sun went down, or eating breakfast there in the cool of the morning were both a delight. We also loved the pool and fig trees! The temperature was in the mid 30s while we were in France, so after a hard day's sightseeing, we looked forward to a dip in the cool water. And we had bowlfuls of sweet figs picked from the trees. We spent some time relaxing at the house, but it was also easy to visit some of the fascinating places in the region (we went to Albi, Castres, Cordes-sur-Ciel, Toulouse, and toured some of the Bastide villages). There are some excellent restaurants nearby in Gaillac, but the kitchen though slightly old-fashioned is nonetheless well-equipped for cooking at home. And we loved the board games left in the sitting room - family poker and Parisian Monopoly were favourites. The welcome on arrival from the family's local representative (who lives half an hour away in Albi) was very friendly and the arrangements at the house were well explained to us. She made clear that she would be happy to be contacted with any queries. We were sorry to leave at the end of our stay, and would be very happy to go back. In short, we would strongly recommend this property.

Idéalement située, dans une région où milles endroits sont à découvrir (Cordes-sur-Ciel, la cathédrale d'Albi, Lautrec et son ail rose...). De superbes vacances en famille dans cette superbe propriété"
