Siesta Key Beachfront Vacation Condo - great value and many amenities!

Every condo in the Sea Shell is just steps from one of the top-rated beaches in the world - Siesta Key Beach! Add in all of the amenities this 2 bedroom, 1 bath unit has to offer and you're in for an amazing, affordable vacation!

Unit 106 features a breezy, coastal theme with fresh paint and new furnishings and décor. The full kitchen is updated with new appliances and has all of the necessary equipment for a light breakfast to a gourmet meal. The adjoining dining room seats six.

Comfortable leather furniture and a large, flat-screen TV in the living room make it easy to relax after your day at the beach. Wi-Fi and a deluxe cable package, including HBO, are complimentary.

The condo sleeps 5, with a king bed in the master bedroom, and a queen and twin bed in the second bedroom. Both bedrooms have wall-mounted flat-screen TVs. The single bathroom can function as an en-suite for the master, or it can be shared, with access from the main living area.

This unit, which is one floor above ground level, is just steps from the elevator and the coin-operated laundry room.

The Sea Shell Condominium is a gated complex with 49 units. Our beach is private, with coded guest access. To make your stay as convenient as possible, we supply beach towels, beach chairs, and beach loungers. Enjoy a cookout at one of our two grilling areas or walk across the street for a variety of meal choices at the many restaurants and bars. There are also ice cream shops, donuts, coffee, and a grocery store.

For your convenience, Sea Shell's rental office is on the premises to assist you with visitor information and any other needs. After-hours check-in is available for those who have late travel plans. Arrival information will emailed to you a few days before your check-in date.

Spring break

Nice room, great location for restaurants etc. we were not able to connect to the wifi the whole week, not sure why, but otherwise the condo was really nice, clean and well stocked with kitchen items needed for the week. Would book again!

Amazing Stay at the Sea Shell on Siesta Key

The condo was beautiful! I was especially excited when I saw that the unit had new tile floors and not the carpet that was in the pictures. The beds and couches were all so comfy and we appreciated the extra blankets as well as the coolers in the closets. The unit was also very clean. The location was absolutely perfect! It was a short walk from the condo to the beach. It’s also a very short walk to many restaurants and even a grocery store! We didn’t have to drive at all once we arrived. The condo is also a very reasonable walk down the beach to Point of Rocks. It was beautiful! If you decide to walk there, it’s accessible by foot at low tide. Thank you so much for an amazing vacation!

Great location right on the beach

Overall was satisfied with the complex and thought the staff was friendly and easy to work with. The unit needs some updating. We like to cook and the kitchen needs some love. The king bed mattress was very comfortable. The couch and love seat are not as comfortable as they have indentations from use. The bathroom was fine but overall this is an older unit that needs updating.

Not Good For Families with Teens

I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our large group of moms and senior boys thought this development would be ideal for senior spring break, but we were hounded by security and treated with suspicion from the day we arrived. Apparently a large group from the year before caused problems, and even though we had nothing to do with that group, we were treated as though we did. If you are a family with younger kids, or adults with no kids, this place might be great for you. Very good location close to shops and restaurants, clean and lovely beach. The pool is very small and located on the street-side of the building. Coin laundry is ridiculous, and you'll need to buy all supplies (paper products, detergent,garbage bags,etc) which is atypical for VRBO properties in my experience. Also, if you fly, and your flight arrival and/or departure time fall outside their check-in/check-out window, they will not allow you to store your luggage on the property. You'll have to cart it around with you. None of this stopped us from having a great week with our boys, but if I were to do it again, I'd book somewhere else.

VRBO response to booking problems

Booking experience was horrible. Agent would not respond or fix the problem. People on site were great and very helpful resolving the issues with VRBO issues. The initial booking fees should be returned to me.

Contract & Deposit Required

This is not a normal VRBO. Renting required a separate Contract and Security Deposit directly through Sea Shell Condos. The listing fails to mention this. I had to mail in the contract early. Then once I arrived, I had even more paperwork to fill out to check in. Sea Shell Condos (not VRBO) charged FULL BALANCE up front, not split like VRBO stated. Also the contract I received incorrectly said I still had a balance due. In addition to the deposit due upon arrival. The place was nice, but we fought bugs in the condo during the whole stay. Bare minimum necessities were provided.

The property is a bit dates, but has an ideal location. Plenty of services without having to go to Siesta Village. Property supplied beach chairs are a plus.
