Fourth Ave South, Essex House, a lovely, quaint, first floor 1 bedroom condo, only 4 short blocks to one of the most beautiful white sandy beaches ever, and 99 steps to the very center of Old Naples’ famous Fifth Avenue South with world-class restaurants, unique designer shops, art galleries, theater, and lively nightlife. Walk to breakfast at a sidewalk café, stroll to the pier, fish a little, take an afternoon bike ride through Old Naples or play some tennis at Cambier Park. Come back to your little oasis at Essex House for a swim in the pool before heading out in the evening for a gourmet dinner, theater, art gallery hop, ice cream, then relax while you enjoy the beautiful sunset on the sand.
This condo has a new renovated kitchen, full size appliances with natural wood cabinets, stainless back-splash and granite tops, table with seating for four. New white Florida plantation shutters house all windows, and new remote control fans with light are in each room. Living room sectional with a large 46” wall mounted television, cable and internet provided. The light sea-green bedroom has a queen size bed, bed-chest and a large cedar-lined closet covered with mirrored sliding doors for lots of storage.
There is private parking by your unit, a sparkling private pool with outside rinsing shower, community laundry, and barbecue steps from your door. This is a non-smoking unit, pets permitted,with approval, under 30 lbs, $100 non-refundable deposit.

Property location was ideal! Steps from 5th Ave. and a few blocks from the beach. Unit was well organized, comfortable and clean with everything we needed for an amazing beach vacation. Owners were great. Highly recommended!

The Ultimate Naples Vacation Spot!

We had a wonderful vacation at Essex House! We could not ask for a better location! Steps from the most beautiful beach in Florida and world class dining! We walked everywhere. We enjoyed the theatre, Third Street South Shops and the market on Saturdays. We enjoyed the art show on 5th Ave S, not to mention the restaurants and shops. We also got into the habit of having an ice-cream cone every night after our walk. The condo had everything we needed for a relaxing vacation with all the amenities of home. We were also surprised with a great welcome package including wine, and lots of treats...Too many to mention. The property was very clean and very well maintained. We loved reading by the pool and the use of the gas bbq. The owner checked to see if we needed anything, but everything we needed was already provided. I would recommend this property to my friends and relatives and hope to stay there again.

"earthy" smelling and hot

This apartment could benefit from a new and well functioning air conditioner. The one bathroom has a heater for a fan. The dehumidifiers do not help in that they just add noise and potentially more heat. Charcoal absorbants and scent jars indicate possible knowledge of humidity issue. The note stating "ignore the check filter issue" regarding the one air conditioner that just cools the space in front of it in the living room does not build confidence in owner integrity when it comes to discomfort issues. When pleaded with for consideration, they refused.

Lynn, I’m sorry the unit wasn’t to your liking, You texted me that your little pup, Daisy was panting and you were warm. You thought the air conditioning was not working, we came down with the air-conditioning man a few days later on October 9 and the air conditioning was fine. It was a little warm, to make it cooler you needed to lower the temperature button. I also said I would look for another renter but was not successful. The Dehumidifier and charcoal is out for tenants wishing to use them as four blocks from the beach can be a little “beachy.” The unit was advertised as window air, not central. Sorry it was not to your liking. Owner

Everything we needed was in the unit - steps away was the beach and 5th Avenue - the unit was clean and cozy. This time of year the property was really quiet and almost had it to ourselves. We are very happy that our research took us to this unit!!

Property location in Naples is great. Short walk to the beach to use the beach chairs & umbrella provided. Close to 5th Ave S shops and eateries. Pool is clean and warmed up with the weather. Unit was nicely decorated, clean and quiet overall. Welcome wine was a nice touch by Karen. Fun time in a great location.

GREAT LOCATION!!

This is a delightful little condominium unit as close to the attractions of "Old Naples" as you can get. The unit is very well stocked with every supply you could imagine, including beach gear. The beach is only a 10 minute walk away through an attractive part of town. Karen and her husband Dwight worked very hard to make sure that we enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this property. Great Location!

Just returned from our trip to Olde Naples. We had the most wonderful time. This unit is in an ideal location. You can walk to 5th Avenue, 3rd Street. the Ocean, or the Bay. We had spectacular weather, found the traffic to be low, the food in the area was very good and reasonable. The shops are fun and they had a farmers market that we enjoyed. The owners were very easy to rent from and I would easily recommend this unit.

Great location in Old Naples. I strongly recommend it to couples and solo travellers.

I stayed for 16 days and everything was perfect. Very close to Fifth Avenue shops and restaurants and yet very calm on a quiet street. Pool very clean. You can easily walk to the beach. The owners provide beach chairs, umbrella, towels, etc. The kichen is fully equipped. Internet absolutely reliable. Cable TV with multi channels. Laundry facilities. Lots of practical information made available on the area. Very good quality-price ratio for Naples.

Perfect location, very comfortable accommodations, friendly owners

This unit is very close to all the action that we were looking for. Five minutes to the beach, and two minutes from all the fun on 5th avenue. The accommodations were comfortable if not luxurious. The little added touches such as books, games , beach chairs and towels, and of course the welcoming bottle of wine, made it a delightful experience. My only complaint was that the pool was not heated and as a result remained cold (for me) the entire time. Some days the ocean water was warmer. I imagine in the winter months it would have been unusable.

Great Location, Weather and Accommodations

Stayed for a week, before Christmas, when Naples was less busy and the weather mild. The condo was perfect for the 2 of us. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals, including picnic supplies, if you wanted to lunch at the beach. The bed was comfortable and the condo furnishings were just right for a small unit. There are lots of fans and air, though we didn't need them and preferred open windows. We rented bikes for the week and it was the way to go as the area is flat and beautiful for biking. Though we didn't meet them face to face, we felt the owners were accommodating and willing to please. We had a very nice week and enjoyed this condo very much. We would recommend it. Relaxing and Convenient Getaway

Location, Location, Location, and this is about as good of a location as you can get. A short walk to the South and you are on 5th Ave with plenty of shopping, coffee shops, and restaurants. Continue walking south another few blocks and there is the Naples Pier. No fishing license required from the Pier and a walk to the end of the Pier gives a great view of the downtown Naples beach line. A few blocks to the west of the unit and you are on a quiet white sandy beach great for walks, relaxing or fishing. Accommodations were great, updated kitchen and bath, clean, with a spacious master bedroom and plantation shutters throughout. A pool is located right out the front door. Would highly recommend for a relaxing getaway with all the conveniences (with no to minimal driving needed!)

Yes! because of the location, one person could go out for a bit to eat or to Chico's shopping etc. walking; while the other guest or spouse can sit by the pool, relax, reading or watching t.v., no need to drag the "other half" to places they really do not want to go. Or hubby can go fishing while you shop! ( no need for a car because of the condo's location.)

We have lived here since 1976 and are a retired teacher and business owner,( originally from small towns in Minnesota and Ohio) raised 4 children and watched Naples grow and change. We live in the north 'country' area of Collier County and love the Old City part of Naples with its pier for fishing, beautiful white sandy beaches and gorgeous sunsets. This is a retreat from our busy lives. We wanted to 'stop and smell the roses'. The little condo is a breadth of fresh air. We love it, as our children, family, and friends do. We can stay for a weekend, week, or just a day. My 97 year-old mother can go for a little beach scene then come back and rest while others can walk the art festivals, fishing, shopping or just an ice cream cone. It truly is a treasure to share.

Why they chose this property

Location, location, location. In 4 blocks you can walk to the beach! 99 steps to 5th Ave., Also from your residence go 2 blocks west and 7 blocks south and you are at the 3rd St. shops and restaurants. From here you are now a few blocks from the famed Naples Pier! The fishing on the pier is free!!! No license required! It's paid for by the City of Naples! You don't need the car. You can walk to: tennis, art, beach, park, fishing, concerts, library, shops, food and entertainment in the streets. People come from all over the world, so we really feel we are on a mini vacation, when we only traveled 30 minutes from our home. (but it is so different, so relaxing, so away from it all, a true fun-time rest.)

What makes this property unique

It's a little condo, for a lot of what is going on outside the condo. Things are close: Beach, music, art, theater, parks, galleries, restaurants, fishing, boating, exploring, swimming, Price is good. The place is very clean. We are full-time residents who know the area to help make your stay pleasant and free of problems. We may even bring you a bottle of wine and home- made cookies!
