Great apartment, close to the centre

Spacious and clean apartment with all the amenities you need. Aircon was a blessing in the heat. Great place for two couples or a couple with kids, the little garden was lovely for an Al fresco meal. Gabriele was kind enough to pick us up from the station, good communication throughout.

Basic apartment close to Porta Elisa

We stayed at Apartments from Gabry the last week in May 2016. It is close to the Porta Elisa only a short walk away. Close to grocery store, pizzeria., gelato. It was minimally functioning and minimally clean. Reasonable for the week. There is timed parking on the street during the day.

I don't understand what did not go well in cleaning, check was done at 12.30 and the apartment had just been cleaned with care as usual, perhaps because guests have found a diary of the previous client, stuck in the couch. Everything else was working, I saw that it was only a broken light bulb in the hallway. The apartment would not say it basic, it has everything you need, microwave, kettle, toaster, juicer, Internet wifi, washing machine, two bicycles, air conditioning, tv, freezer, oven, dvd, hair dryer and private garden whit umbrella, table and chairs. Just a few park are whit timed and free,while others are free of charge and not by timed

A lovely place in a delightful town!

Gabriele is a very nice host and is really attentive to his guests. His apt is spacious, clean, bright, modern and has the most interesting knickknacks and furnishings. It is decorated most tastefully and has thoughtful touches throughout the apt and garden, to wit: mirrors, hooks, shelves, artwork, drying rack, plenty of a variety of hangars, etc. The kitchen is well equipped with a microwave, espresso maker, plenty of dishes and glasses, including wine glasses. On top of that it was stocked with coffee, water, juices, sugar, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, etc. But the best of it was that there were two bicycles with locks for our use and the city of Lucca is perfect for cycling. There is a very wide rampart on top of the wall encircling the old city that has been turned into a super space for bikers, walkers, strollers with a wide asphalted area plus a wider green space. The apt is located just outside the walls so you can park your car easily and for free plus be within a short walk of the old city. It is also very easy to find when you arrive in Lucca. The people of Lucca are friendly and helpful. Gabriele gave us very good recommendations for restaurants, sightseeing and grocery stores. We would return without any hesitation and likewise recommend the apt and town to our friends and family without reservation.

Highly Recommend!

The apartment is in a fine location, easy walk or fun bike ride to inside the wall of Lucca. The manager, Gabriele, met us at the train station which was SO kind of him and made us feel right at home in his apartment. It was clean, well furnished, and had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Within walking distance to the center of Lucca, grocery store, restaurants, and even a bakery with great cappuccino! The bikes are included and we used them for a beautiful bike ride on the wall. From there you see beautiful views. There is also a nice terrace if the weather is good, not much of a view but still very nice to be outside for a drink. I would definitely stay there again, the bed was very comfortable and that is important for us. Thank you Gabriele!

Our stay in Lucca, Italy

When my fiend Julie and I arrived in Lucca by car our host was so helpful to get us to our apartment, park and settle in. He was working so was not available to meet us but gave us perfect instructions. He came over the following day and gave us some help to operate the TV and then helped us plan out our stay. The apartment is very comfortable and all you need to stay in Lucca. I love the location and I had no problems driving to see sites during the day and then coming back to our home. I would recommend Gabriele's apartment to anyone visiting Lucca and it is a magical destination in Italy. Thank you Gabriele!!

Had a lovely 3 night stay in this lovely apartment. Just outside the walls of lucca. Bikes were there to use which were great fun.supermarkets near by.bed very comfy, kitchen well equipped for cooking

Great location and so nice to have a kitchen. We had been eating out so much that it was a treat to make a chefs salad for supper in our own home. There is a grocery store down the street. You need to follow the road as it goes down to find it. The bikes were so great to have. We ride the wall one direction and turned around a did it the other! Gabriele was a great host and his place was clean and modern.

Everything just as in the pictures. Very convenient to the beautiful walled city of Lucca - just a 5 minute walk. The bikes (included with the apartment) were older but totally functional. Cycling on the walls of Lucca was truly a unique experience! Gabriele was so easy and pleasant to deal with - answered all of my emailed questions quickly and thoroughly. This was my first time using VRBO and the whole process could not have gone smoother.

Wonderful vacation spot in charming Lucca.

Apartmento Gabry is just outside the mura (wall) of Lucca, with all necessary conveniences, chic design and close proximity to the best Italian mercato (grocery store). Gabriele is an excellent host and charming man, who gives all attention to his guests questions and needs. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend. There are two cute bikes to use to ride all around Lucca and live la dolce vita. Puccini music in the town centrale, close to trains, good wine, food, people, etc. Perfetto.

Fun time in Lucca

The place was really nice and we appreciated the dark shades so we could get some extra rest in at the beginning of our trip. We loved having the bicycles, and while one bike had a bad tire, the owner replaced it for us in the morning before we were awake, so we had bikes to use all day, which was super. We enjoyed our trip and wish we could have stayed more nights!

Cet appartement est très bien situé (proche du centre historique, de la gare, des commerces), et on peut se garer facilement dans la rue. En revanche l'appartement est très sombre et la courette un peu bruyante. Les équipements (frigo, machine à laver) seraient à revoir, et la salle de bains est à refaire. Mais pour les courts séjours, c'est parfait

Good place to stay

The apartment was very clean and well appointed. Good location to walk to everything including the old city of Lucca. We had a car and parked it across the street from the apartment for no cost. It served our purpose fine and we were satisfied.

Home away from home.

My husband and I rented Apt Gabry for a week and really enjoyed our stay. The apt is bigger than the pictures look and is a good walking distance to the city with bikes available at the apt for you. If you don't mind a little street noise and being away from the downtown area, this is great. There is also a super market a short bike ride away that we used twice. We loved Lucca, and Gabriele was very accomadating.

Het was een prima uitvalsbasis voor tripjes naar Pisa, Viareggio, Empoli (met huurauto)en Florence (met de trein). Gabriele C. is een erg aardige en behulpzame verhuurder die desgevraagd ook goede tips heeft over bijvoorbeeld het verhuur van racefietsen."
