Really relaxing stay

Our stay was just great. It is a great property to stay with a mixed age group, like our group was. The pool is very nice and we enjoyed having a lot of space for everybody. We especially liked the kitchen and the space to sit outside. There may be cobwebs in the corners of the ceiling, but it is a château after all! We had a great time and would always do this again.

Our family of 12 loved out time at the chateau. The chateau is spacious and comfortable and a great place to explore. It's honestly like stepping back in time. We had great conversations and let our imaginations run wild as we discussed what it must have been like 100, 200 or 300 years ago. The pool was wonderful since we stayed for a few hot days in July. We enjoyed our time inside the house and outside on the property. We played pool, card games, ping-pong, bocci ball, went swimming, played with the dogs, fed the burros, rode bikes... There is something for everyone!The host was very helpful and easy to reach from the start with suggestions for things to do, and directions for local points or interest. I miss our time at the chateau already. This will be a trip our family will talk about for years to come. I highly suggest the property and host.

Excellent.

The Château was everything we hoped for. Easily large enough for 8 adults and 6 children, they counted 34 rooms. Much of the decor and furnishings were exactly in keeping with the age of the property, making you feel as though you were living in a bygone era but with modern facilities. Very quite and peaceful surroundings but near enough to shops and supermarkets. The caretaker was always very helpful, resolving an issue with the swimming pool and organising a medical appointment for one of the children. We will definitely be wanting to book another holiday here.

Beautiful chateau but could be improved

Overall we had a fun stay with friends in this chateau. There is a town nearby 15 min with all shopping needs. Tourist area like Blois is 30-40min drive. The chateau from the outside is as shown, it’s beautiful building with lovely grounds, and felt very atmospheric and safe. The pool area is great, (although watch out for horse flies and bees when it’s hot). The bbq area is also really good. Inside the decor is quite traditional which is fine, but it is very cluttered with antiques and stuff everywhere, this made it a little stressful with little children, it would be much improved with reducing the amount of clutter in the rooms, which could definitely be done without loosing the overall charm. All the rooms are good size and there is plenty of cutlery cooking utensils etc. Beware there are hornets around which like to come in at night. The kitchen is a bit small and was not that clean when we arrived, there were things still in fridge/freezer which should really have been cleared before arrival. Also there is some black mould in one of the upstairs bedrooms which really needs sorting out. Another issues is there are dogs kept in the kennel outside, they were well behaved but they are obviously allowed out around the grounds when there aren’t guests and we found quite a lot of dog mess in the grass which we had to ask the caretaker to come and remove so the children could play freely. We had a nice time but some things need improving for this cost.

People make holidays & whilst this may not be the cleanest of chateaus the facilities & the homely feel to the place make it special, all 12 of us had a brilliant holiday & wouldn't hesitate to go back ..

Fantastic!

I booked the castle for a friend and family reunion - it was amazing! The place is incredible. Perfect for large groupS looking for independence while living together. We had planned on touring the area but never did as the place was too comfortable and peaceful to leave. A special thanks to Aurélien, the castle keeper, who made our stay painless.

I am retreated; I had an activity of florist and decoration.i come in my house with my 3 children and grandchildren: aged from 8 to 18 years.
They play tennis, swim, go bicycling, walk with the dogs, feed the hens and geese on the lake.
