About this property

Lakefront With A Beautiful View!

Beautiful home in Casco, Maine with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Tucked away in the pines overlooking the water, it's a great getaway destination for any season. Enjoy 160 feet of waterfront on Parker Pond, a large, clear lake deep enough for boating, but much quieter than busy Lake Sebago. The home includes three floors of living space, a fireplace and a fully stocked kitchen. Large windows and a 22 foot ceiling complement the spacious wraparound deck on the main floor. Look out over the beautiful lake, take a canoe to the island and look for loons, jump off the swim dock, fish, or just relax with friends and family...

In the winter, our location is excellent for cross country and downhill skiing, snow tubing and more. Shawnee Peak Ski Resort is 30 minutes west and Sunday River Ski Resort is an hour north. There's nothing better than coming back to a beautiful view and a warm fire after a day outdoors.

The house is equipped with fast Wifi for all of your internet needs, and the TV includes Chromecast to easily stream videos (like Netflix or Hulu) or photos from your phone or tablet.

There's lots to do, and we'll provide you with details on places to go and things to see - such as where to find great restaurants and groceries or what fun festival might be happening around town. Go 5 minutes down the road for ice cream, apple picking, wine tasting, or hiking. 15 minutes away you can ride go-karts, play mini golf, check out other lakes and beaches, go horseback riding or tour the area in a sea plane. The house is also only 45 minutes from Portland or Freeport, Maine or North Conway, NH - all great day trip destinations.

Now booking for Summer 2017! Please note that during July and August, weekly rentals begin Sunday at 3pm and end Sunday at noon.

Perfect!

Absolutely perfect for our family of 5 and 2 adult friends! The location was perfect - quiet and close to everything we needed and wanted. The pond was quiet and lovely to spend the day in! The kids loved being on the canoes and taking our little trips to and around the island. Fishing was great and each of my 3 girls caught the biggest fish! So much fun and will keep it in mind for a return trip!

Nice chalet. Well stocked. Everything you need for a peaceful vacation!!!

We were hoping the weather reports were wrong. Luckily they were. We only had 2 days of rain out of 7. The pond was warm and inviting. I would recommend only small boats and canoes or kayaks because the public boat launch for Parker Pond is very shallow. The house was well stocked with whatever you need, though the beds should have been made up before arriving, and more toilet paper left out for an entire week. But other than that, everything went smoothly from check in to departure. Owner answered any questions within a short time. Would definitively recommend. 😀

Lovely!

What a relaxing week we had! The house was comfortable, had everything we needed and the lake was beautiful. It had easy access to the water for swimming and canoeing. Lawren was so helpful answering our questions before and during our trip. We were able to rent a paddle board locally which we enjoyed as well. We’d would be happy to come back here another time!

Beautiful lake house

What a great property! Property was well maintained and kitchen has everything you need including a lobster pot. We enjoyed canoe trips to the island where we swam and picked wild blueberries. I would recommend bringing lots of beach towels and extra bath towels since there is no washer/dryer.

It was a great relaxing week! The lake was gorgeous and we had a great time.

It was an extremely easy process and the property was great. It was a little difficult not having a washer and dryer but overall it was the perfect place to relax and unwind and enjoy the lake life.

Beautiful setting at cabin on pond

The property was extremely clean and host took everything into consideration for their guests, from labeling in cabinets and linen closets to having something to do for everyone of all ages. Kitchen had everything you could need for cooking/serving meals, and there were multiple places to hang out, play games, or have some privacy if needed. All around wonderful vacation and experience.

LOVED/ OUR 2 WEEK STAY IN THIS CASCO TREETOP COTTAGE

We truly enjoyed our late August stay in this comfortable Casco home among the trees on Parker Pond. We had several communications with the owner in the weeks leading up to our stay, Lawren answered my messages very promptly and was very accommodating. We really liked the Sunday check in/check out. There was far less traffic to deal with. The open concept kitchen/dining/family room worked very well in our group of 6. We spent the majority of our eves out on the large wrap around deck overlooking the pond. The bedrooms were very comfortable, good quality mattresses on the beds. I chose to bring our own bedding. however linens were provided had we wanted them. Two full bathrooms is a very nice feature in this home. The lower level bath is obviously new and is really well done. The walk down to the fire pit and then dock is rather steep. it was no problem for us. However, if you have very little kids or elderly with you, it could be a challenge to them.

Family Gathering on the Lake

Six adults tremendously enjoyed our week at the Lake House. Plenty of room for togetherness or quiet time. The lower level was terrific and comfortable for playing games and watching the Bruins!! The lake was amazing, nestled in the woods, surrounded by nature. Lawren was so responsive on all inquiries. The house was perfect and hosted everything we needed for a home away from home. We would love to return for a repeat week!

Can’t recommend

The location is fantastic, right on the lake. However, the house needed a thorough remodel about 10 years ago. The walls need to be painted, the screens all have holes which lead to numerous bugs inside. The main bedroom is on the 2nd floor making it very hot. A small window A/C unit would have done wonders. The door shelf in the fridge is taped together. The lawn chairs are ripped and almost unusable. In summary, great location, camp itself needs some TLC.

A beautiful quiet escape!

My family stayed for a week in July and thoroughly enjoyed it! Our weather was fantastic, and we absolutely loved sitting and having our morning coffee out on the deck. The house was beautiful and amply supplied for all you can need from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms. We played the games that were there and even completed the 1000 piece puzzle of ME they have in the house. The dock and canoes were great as was the fire pit. The views and sunsets were beautiful. Stores and town were conveniently located to walk, shop, and have a nice lunch out. We used the grill every night to make dinner. People in town were friendly and helpful, we bought some firewood there for the fire pit. We would not hesitate to rent here again!

Quiet spot, nice house and location looking over the lake.

Heavily wooded location on lightly developed lake, well removed from main road so no road noise and nice view of lake and forest beyond.

Had great time at lake house with family and friends. It is a beautiful, quiet setting.

The house was clean and inviting. If it were my house I would have swept the cobwebs out of the eaves and off the deck. Some outdoor lights didn't work. Neither I nor a techie relative could get the TV or the DVD to work. Would like to have had a banister (for seniors) going down to lake. But the overall setup and location made up for the minor deficits. There was a beautiful fireplace but it was too warm to consider using it. Aquatic equipment was more than adequate to enhance utilization of the lake.

Lovely accommodations.

We are a retired couple who stayed here for two nights. It is clean and spacious, and gorgeous with a well-stocked kitchen and comfortable, convenient layout. It was a pleasure to have so much room for socializing and sleeping. Three levels and wrap around deck space provide privacy and places to relax. We look forward to returning.

Awesome property.

We had a great 4th of July weekend at this awesome home. The lake is beautiful. We enjoyed using the canoes that were provided. The home is about 15 minutes drive to town and there are several places to eat close by, many offering delicious lobster rolls! Very spacious property. The kitchen could use some upgrades/updates. Overall a gorgeous place and superb location! We are definitely going back next summer!

Great Time at the Lake

It sure does have a great view! Four from Philadelphia stayed the week of August 4, The lake is great for swimming and very quiet. We swam out to both islands which is a fun adventure. The canoes are really easy to use. Easy to get in and out since there is a little beach area by the dock. The main floor deck really does give you a great view, like your suspended in the trees. It's a nice walk at a pretty steep hill to get down to the water but no one in our crew had any accidents but you better have good knees. The fire pit is really nice also and lots of fun. We didn't have much luck fishing but the loon seemed to be doing ok. There is no washer/dryer so plan ahead. There is also no cable or satellite TV if that is important to you. The home does need a little TLC/refresh. The picnic table on the main deck is not in the best shape and the one on the walk out deck is not useable and there were no inflatables other than the canoes. All in all we had great weather and a great time.

A peaceful pond, loon magic and activities nearby

Our family of 2 couples and one single adult stayed here quite comfortably in mid July. We were pleased to find the kitchen fully equipped, including a coffee grinder and waffle maker. Sleeping arrangements provided us all with privacy as each couple or individual occupied a different level. The mattresses were quite comfy, even the sleep sofa in the basement gave us a fairly good night's sleep. But the gem of the house is its bird's eye view of the pond and the wrap around deck. That is where we ate our meals, read, and just relaxed. The hemlock forest gave us the feeling of being in the wilderness and screened us from the neighboring homes on either side. The beautiful huge stone fireplace, the centerpiece of the living space, begged to be used, which we did even though the night temps were comfortable. And the sound of the loons every night was enchanting. As canoeists, we enjoyed the small size of the pond with no more than one or two motor boats cruising around at any one time. With the temps in the upper 80's most of the week, we took full advantage of the dock to swim in the crystal clear waters. This is a great family vacation home though not for the physically disabled due to the steep path to the water. If you're looking for more activities, Naples is only 4 miles away. There we played mini golf at Steamboat Landing - a fun course with a Maine theme and lots of shade. The wild mushroom ravioli at Merced's Italian restaurant was excellent, and the Seaplane Adventures tour gave us a terrific view of the lakes and mountains in the area. Naples also has a marina with jet ski and boat rentals, a river boat cruise and more. The Songo Lock, a few miles further down the road, is also an interesting historical site that shouldn't be missed. Though my husband and I were content to stay in the local area, our children found the 45 minute drive to Portland convenient for a taste of the ocean, shopping, and more dining options. In summary, this property is a peaceful lakeside retreat with options for other activities nearby. We look forward to returning again!

Great place--Bring a 4WD vehicle though if you're going in the winter

The description of this house and the view does not lie. Really an awesome place with a lot of open space for the outdoors-y kind of people, but also very "homey" inside for those that like to sit by a fire and relax. The owner was very helpful and responsive in helping get everything set up and was quick to answer questions.

Why they chose this property

We bought this house because it feels like vacation the moment you step onto the property - maybe it's the stunning view and huge wraparound deck or the large windows and fireplaces, but it's relaxing and rejuvenating every time we visit.

What makes this property unique

The house is fairly close to Portland yet you get a unique feeling of privacy. The gorgeous lake is large with crystal clear water, and never crowded like other lakes in the area. You may see someone in a kayak or a pontoon boat from time to time, but the neighborhood is nice with large lots and people who live there year round. The house has 145 feet of water frontage and is surrounded by tall pines, giving it privacy and a feeling of floating in the trees.
