A beautiful 5 Bedroom villa with a private pool and panoramic views of surrounding farmland. Situated on the edge of the quiet village of Lavardac, 7 km from the historic medieval town of Nerac, (equal distance from Toulouse and Bordeaux) in the heart of Southwest France.
Within a few kilometers, there are lots of exciting things to do including lakes, theme parks, high adventure tree climbing, go-karting and lots more.

Great family holiday house.

We loved the house and location and the views were amazing. We were 3 families and there was so much to do in the area. The house was very clean, and had everything we needed including lots of pool toys. The children loved it. Would highly recommend it as a great place to stay.

Just fabulous

Fantastic house and location. Everything we wanted in a gite; rural feeling but close enough to the village to walk for bread in the morning, great outside space with shaded outside dining area and lovely pool, good indoor space with very welcome air con in the bedrooms. We’ve stayed in lots of gites in France and this is one of the best.

Beautiful Views

The property was wonderful and the views from the house over the countyside are magnificent. It's a beautiful spot quiet and perfect for touring the surrounding area around it. Local restaurants and town only a few minutes walk away had everything you needed, Can recommend this property. It was very hot whilst we were there and the aircon was not working properly this was the only negative. I'm sure it will get fixed.

Fabulous house with the most spectacular view and pool

Recently back from a week's stay at Lonley Oak. We cant recommend this amazing home from home enough. We had everything we could possibly need for wonderful days relaxing around the pool, cooking and enjoying the view and outside space of this beautiful villa. We had absolute privacy but at the same time only a 10 min walk to the boulangerie, bank, tabac, cafe-bar and Wednesday market. 5 mins drive to 2 large supermarkets. We were very well looked after by Emma who made sure we wanted for nothing. So much to see in the area - we could happily have stayed another week. We would absolutely re-book for another time!

Summer 2024

A lovely property in a lovely setting. Beautiful views over the French countryside. A very rural property, but at the same time you can walk to Lavardac, where there is a patisserie, a Pizza shop and a Pharmacy. It is a 5 minute car journey to the supermarkets. There are loads of little villages to visit locally and Buzet-sur-Baise has an excellent wine co-operative. The night market in Lavardac on a Thursday night was excellent and we would recommend you go. The property itself is well appointed, with everything you could need and more. The air conditioning in the bedrooms, could at times be temperamental, but it still kept the air cool and it was comfortable for sleeping. There were a few early season issues while we were there, but the property owners and the property caretakers couldn’t do enough to help us. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and would definitely return to this property.

Maison spacieuse à la campagne

Nous avons séjourné entre amis (avec enfants) durant quelques jours. La maison est spacieuse avec de grands espaces de vie, elle est également bien équipée. La communication avec les hôtes est rapide et fluide. Le seul bémol est que le ménage n’est pas inclus dans le prix. Nous recommandons ce logement très agréable à vivre.

Heel vriendelijk ontvangen, keurig op tijd.(ook bij vertrek) Goede instructies wat betreft de zaken in en rond het huis Jammer dat van de vijf airco's er twee werkten. De andere kamers waren wel voorzien van ventilatoren, maar koelden de slaapvertrekken wel minder.Prachtige locatie en omgeving waar veel te doen was.

Nous avons passé une très bonne semaine de vacances. La maison est très agréable à vivre, spacieuse, de plain-pied et bien pensée (grand salon et cuisine ouverte qui donne sur la terrasse, un petit salon TV, 2 suites parentales, 4 WC au total, clim dans les chambres...). L'aménagement exterieur est parfait. La terrasse donne sur la piscine, parfait pour surveiller les enfants, et admirer la superbe vue. Pas de voisins proches. Nous sommes allés passer une après-midi sympa à 15 mn de là, au lac de Damazan (wake board, baignade et petite bande de sable). Merci à Sue pour sa disponibilité et sa réactivité.

Très bon séjour

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison. La situation est idéale compte tenu de la proximité du village et la vue sur les collines depuis la terrasse de la piscine est extraordinaire. La maison est confortable pour 10 personnes, un peu juste pour 12 car deux personnes dorment alors dans le salon. La salle télé à part permet une séparation avec le salon. Le garage recèle des trésors pour les sportifs et les enfants : table de ping pong, appareils de musculation. Certains mobiliers d'extérieur mériteraient d'être changés (banc en bois, table pour déjeuner). Enfin dommage que le prix soit en livres car à chaque transaction, il faut payer les frais de change.

Perfect quiet location

This was our 2nd time staying at Lonely Oak and it felt like coming home. Communication with Sue and Mike was perfect and any minor issues were dealt with promptly. The local area is very rural but has all the amenities you could need. House and pool are beautiful and we hope to stay here again in the future.

Op vakantie met kleine kinderen

Prima vakantiewoning om met een aantal gezinnen met kinderen te verblijven. Koele woning met airco en een prachtig zwembad. Ideaal tegen de hitte. Er was voldoende speelgoed voor in en uit het zwembad. Ook de communicatie met de mensen ter plaatse verliep uitstekend. Onmiddellijk antwoord en indien nodig kwam er iemand langs binnen het uur om te helpen.

degelijke woning met groot zwembad

Dit is een heel degelijke woning met een groot zwembad. Het grote voordeel vonden wij dat er al heel wat speelgoed voor de kinderen aanwezig was. Voor binnen waren er blokken, treinen, een schommelpaardje en nog heel wat ander speelgoed. Voor buiten waren er heel wat opblaasdingen aanwezig. Voor ieder wat wils dus. Het enige nadeel was dat één van de twee persoonsbedden niet zo goed lagen, de personen rolde naar elkaar toe in het midden. Voor wie graag dicht bij elkaar ligt, is het dus geen probleem ;-). Het contact met de eigenaars verliep trouwens ook heel vlot. We hadden een zeer aangenaam verblijf en vonden het jammer dat we terug moesten vertrekken.

Great location to stay....

The property was overall very good. A few niggles included; air con in main bedroom not working, oven not 100%, washing machine periodically decided to stop working on certain programmes, hair dryer seemed to have gone missing. But the pool is great, lovely views from the property, perfect location, lovely restaurants nearby, very friendly location and we would stay there again.

Why they chose this property

The views did it for us; when we originally saw the land, We had seen many areas around Nerac but it took us about 30 secs to decided this land was where we where going to build our home

What makes this property unique

Our own VERY PRIVATE pool makes a huge difference, the house is spacious with 5 separate bedrooms all with independently controlled air conditioning.
A great space to just relax and enjoy downtime or use it as a base to explore the local area and facilities.
