We loved this place, because had everything we need for our trip. The house owners were wonderful and we had a great time up there. We really recommended it!
We were greeted by Marty and Betty, who could not have been more welcoming. They showed us around the property and garden, and provided us with salad, dried apples, and fresh lemonade upon arrival. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing, and we were sad when it was time to leave. Truly a delightful retreat at Llovely Meadows!
I truly needed a calm, quiet, positive place to reset this year and I couldn't have asked for anything better than this stay. Betty and Marty are some of the kindest people I have ever met and are truly invested in making sure you get the experience you need. There is such a feeling of positivity and optimism in this room, I forgot myself in the LED lights watching old movies on the projector screen, sitting out at the fire pit gazing at the stars, and spending some time with the goodest farm dog Jazzy Star. I will definitely return here again and am already recommending it to friends. Thank you betty and marty! This was more than I ever could have hoped for
Great stay! We loved our stay with Betty, Marty, and Big Mama the llama. Gracious hosts greeted us with a fresh salad and green beans from their garden as well as eggs. Room was very spacious and well stocked with kitchen items, pillows, and blankets. The beds are done up sofa beds with featherbeds and were plenty comfy. There was a hammock out back and we grilled some burgers. There was a spot for a bonfire prepared but we didn't get to it. We enjoyed visiting the llama and alpacas and the kids enjoyed walking in the circular peace garden. One night we rented a DVD from one is the boxes at the local video store and watched Captain Marvel on the projector system. We enjoyed sleeping bear dunes, the beach, a drive-in movie at the cherry bowl and some kayaking. Great time. Great place, great hosts. Highly recommend!
It was exactly as advertised. Very clean with all of the amenities down to a coffee grinder. Betty and Marty are very welcoming, genuine people who we enjoyed getting to know. The special touches they added-fresh flowers and produce from their garden - speak to the type of hosts they are. It was an awesome experience!
Betty and Marty make you feel like old friends you’ve known forever. Everything from the gorgeous fresh flowers to the cozy decor of the studio was perfect. Truly, I could live there forever. My two kids didn’t want to leave either! Betty and Marty have amazing hospitality and their property and vibe bring peace and love to your soul. From the stars on a clear night to the trails with wild flowers into the woods to the peace garden, you cannot ask for more. The location is also perfect for visiting Lake Michigan, Crystal Lake, and nearby towns. Looking forward to going back again. I miss it already. 🌸💐🐝🌼🌷🦋
We had never been to the area and found this location ideal for venturing out to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Empire, Frankfort, Travers City and more. Betty and Marty are extremely friendly and accommodating. I wish we could have stayed longer.
The studio is beautiful and full of encouraging spiritual messages. We picked vegetables from the garden, walked in the labyrinth garden, and visited the llama and two alpacas. I was with three high school girls, and this was a wonderful bonding weekend for them.
It was exactly as advertised! The reviews were spot on, as was the description. Beautiful and serene setting, my 5 yr old son adored it and when we were out and about, would refer to wanting to go back to the farm, and make references to "the farmers." It is also the ideal spot for a retreat:) Betty and Marty have thought through guests needs in a variety of ways. We were able to relax after a busy day, very much enjoyed the fresh veggies from the garden, and the chit chat with the owners. Betty is very sweet!

Fantastic Experience
My family had a great time and really enjoyed the experience of the farm. My daughter (11) in particular loved the animals and being able to help feed them. The hosts went out of their way to make us feel at-home, including leaving fresh fruit and baked goods. The location is also great to enjoy all the local attractions, including Crystal Mountain and local dinning options. Overall, it was a great experience!

Llama Meadows farm is a peaceful and lovely nature filled place to stay.
The studio apartment was clean and fully stocked. We had plenty of room for our family reunion of 24 people. There was a large play structure for the kids and a barbecue and fire pit available for our use. The garden and Llama added that much more caricture to this peaceful setting. I would recommend this Home Away property to anyone looking for peace and quite.

Amacing farm and lovely people
We loved every minute of our stay! The studio is wide and spacious and days are warm, but nights are cool, so didn’t miss not having an AC. We were welcomed with a lovely garden and fruit salads. The gardens are tranquil, The llama and the alpacas are skittish ( don’t expect any cuddles), but the dog Tassie bear more than made up for it! We were welcomed like old friends and were made to feel so special! Our kids are already demanding to go back every year!
This is definitely the place to go if you want to connect to people rather than stay in a bland hotel ! Beulah beach, the alpaca farm and bedazzled ( a gift shop where you can get beeswax products) are all a short 5 mins away!
We have made friends for life and are looking forward to coming back every year!

Fun and cozy - truly home away from home
My boys ages 8&11 and I really enjoyed staying at Llama Meadows Farm. Marty and Betty were warm, friendly, helpful and so welcoming. They went beyond for us. We loved Betty's homemade baked goods, sun tea, and fresh veggies right from the garden. We also loved the trampoline!
We definitely recommend staying here and enjoying its close proximity to all the beauty of Sleeping Bear Dunes and the surrounding area of lakes and quaint towns.

A Lovely Getaway
The place was so tranquil, idyllic, and funky. Our apartment was impeccably kept up and had everything that we could have wanted: a well-outfitted kitchen, comfy beds, a giant screen to watch a movie at night, a fire pit, beautiful gardens, and fresh veggies! We loved how convenient it was to get to the nearby Frankfort, Crystal Lake, and to Sleeping Bear Dunes. We even got to follow up our great day of hiking and swimming by washing off in the outdoor shower. The hosts were super welcoming and generous: they showed us all around the farm and shared the delicious bounty with us. It made for an excellent vacation.

Truly Enjoyed Our Stay!
My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the Llama Meadows Farm for 4 nights. The room was massive and I personally LOVED the calming decor that reminded me of my favorite yoga studio.
Marty and Betty could not have been nicer or more welcoming on our arrival or during our entire time with them. We felt like friends after our stay... and I hope that we see them again soon. We had a wonderful salad made from the garden waiting in our refrigerator along with many other snacks straight from their garden. Yummy after a long drive! The kitchen and bath was well appointed with whatever we needed. SO impressed that Marty and Betty built the building (and their adjacent home) themselves!
The studio had three pull-out couches, one of which we used as our bed for the stay. It had two mattress toppers that made it very comfy. Please be aware that there are stairs up to the studio and no air conditioning. It was not an issue for us and our two pups. The room had many windows which open that offer a wonderful cross breeze that keeps the lofty room cool.
A major highlight of our trip was learning about the llamas, garden, labyrinth, organic lifestyle and music on the farm. We came away wanting to know more... and researched more about Dances of Universal Peace on the way home.
I think that a traveler that would most enjoy a stay here would be those with an open-mind, a kind & easy going spirit and a bit of a sense of adventure. As I said in the first line, we loved it... and hope to return again! Hugs to Marty, Betty and Tazzy Bear!!!
