About this property

It's a Beach Haven and it's Beachfront! See the beautiful dunes and ocean

Located 20 minutes east of Savannah, through several miles of beautiful sky and salt marshes, you’ll find Tybee Island — one of the most laid-back beaches on the southeastern coast.
You can sit on the spacious deck facing the ocean, see the cargo ships, relax and sunbathe and enjoy cocktails

Our house is located about 2 blocks north of the Tybee Pavilion and Pier at one of the nicest locations on Tybee Island’s beach. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood, is directly on the beach where you can walk to shopping, the local grocery store, restaurants and bars. There is a large deck facing the ocean that has a dining table, ample seating, a sun umbrella and two loungers.
We have a very cool outdoor shower that you can use from returning from the beach.
Many renovations have recently been completed that include updated space .The kitchen is open to the dining and living rooms and the Atlantic Ocean. The appliances are all stainless steel with new cabinetry, an island that serves as a breakfast bar and the kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots/pans and cooking utensils. All luxury vinyl flooring on all floors and bead board in all hallways and stairwells are updated features.
The master shower includes a walk in tiled shower. The 2nd bathroom on the top floor has been renovated recently with a new tub, tiling, flooring and wallpaper. There are 3 flat screen TVs in the house, LR, primary BR and BR on the ground floor. The master bedroom faces the ocean and the views are breathtaking. The bedrooms are comfortable and furnished with quality linens and bed coverings. There are also overhead fans in all of the bedrooms. The 3.5 bathrooms include a half bath on the main floor next to the kitchen, the primary with a walk in shower , the 2nd bathroom with a bathtub/shower and the third bathroom with a walk in shower. Washer and dryer on ground floor available for your use. To reach the beach, you just take the path on the other side of the house and the beach is in sight. The one car garage has plenty of beach chairs, a gas grill, an extra refrigerator, a cooler and a beach umbrella for your use. The driveway can accommodate 3 parked cars. We focus on upkeep and cleanliness and this is just not a rental home but my private home whenever I can meet up with my family.

We had a great week at staying at Beach Haven. It was perfect for the 8 people we had, there was plenty of room. It was well stocked, right on the beach, walking distance to the grocery, shopping and great restaurants! Susan is a wonderful host, very helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. Definitely recommend staying here if you are coming to Tybee Island.

Perfection

Beach Haven was absolutely perfect for our family spring break. There was plenty of room for everyone to come together or be apart if needed. The beach was awesome, the views spectacular, the location excellent. The decor was beautiful and the attention to detail was noticed and appreciated! There was an overwhelming sense of being welcomed. We would definitely stay again!

Perfect getaway

This is house is everything it says it is! Clean, great location and has everything you need. We really appreciated having beach chairs and towels available to use. Susan was great to communicate with and responded quickly with any concerns we had. Will definitely stay here again if we make it back to Tybee Island.

Beautiful house in an ideal location on Tybee Island

This house has a great view of the beach from the living room, deck and master bedroom. It is very well-maintained and clean; it looks like it was recently remodeled. The kitchen is especially well-equipped and stocked. This is our fourth winter spending time on Tybee Island, and it was the best place yet.

Great place, great host.

This place Is in a great location. Right over the dunes to the beach and walking distance from shops restaurants etc. Susan was an excellent host. The house and kitchen were full of things that you really need. Like kitchen utensils, toilet paper, soap etc. We would definitely stay here again if ever on Tybee Island.

Girls Trip

This was the perfect home for our girls trip. Clean, wonderful setup with an ideal location. We loved it was a quiet beachfront but walkable to groceries and restaurants.. Spent a few days in Savannah and we were happy to come back to this lovely home. I would highly recommend. I will be back!

Perfect Vacation Place

I have been trying to write a review for over a week and I cannot give it a better review than the owner did. Her description is spot on. The house is wonderful, the location is great, and everything described by the owner is 100% accurate. The furniture is comfortable, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, everything works as it should. I cannot say enough good things about this place, I just loved everything about it.

Awesome beach location!

Great location for the beach house! The beautiful dunes are visible from windows on the back/beach side of the house. The house was well equipped and the mattresses were comfortable also. Our family of 7 ranged in ages of 18 to 56. The IGA grocery was 3 blocks away and had most of what we needed. We have stayed at many rentals and this was all it said it would be!

Grannies get away

We are 8 senior women that get together once a year. This was the first time most of us have been on Tybee Island. We all loved it could not have had a better stay. The beds were very comfortable. The house was very clean and comfortable. One thing missing were dish cloths. Dish towels but could not find dish cloths. We would definitely recommend this great house. Susan was very responsive to all questions. We left a small gift from the grannies on the living room stand, a green magnet turtle. Thank you for such a wonderful place to stay, I am sure we will be back.

Perfect house in perfect location for 8 women

This townhouse was perfect for our group of 8 women---4 bathrooms (2 full bathrooms with tubs, and a third with a shower and then an additional hallway bath, so a bathroom on each floor) were really helpful when getting ready. Functional kitchen (although no basics provided like flour/sugar/oil/salt/pepper) with large refrigerator---we cooked several breakfasts in it. It was clean, bedding was comfortable, and there was adequate seating in living room and on deck. It is probably 100 yards from a pristine beach, and you can walk well over 30 minutes without running out of beautiful, walkable/run-able beachfront. House within walking distance of a couple restaurants (our best meal was at AJs). Hope to bring my family back and rent this townhouse again.

Truly a Beach Haven

We had an incredible time. The house is beautiful, well appointed and everything you need is provided. Susan’s communication was on point (we were arriving after a hurricane) she kept us abreast on conditions and what to expect. The beds are comfortable, the linens and towels are abundant and 1st quality. The kitchen is stocked with all the accoutrements. There are games, puzzles, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, wave boards, and even a cooler! She has put together a binder with EVERYTHING you would want to know including recommendations for restaurants, emergency care, and expeditions. The view is amazing and the path to and from the beach was like walking on powdered sugar. We are so grateful to have found this place. It is truly a Beach Haven and we can’t wait to return!

Great Family Vacation Spot!

Our family of 9 (6 adults and 3 kids) had a wonderful week staying at Beach Haven. The location is perfect (only steps from the beach), the view is breathtaking, and the layout of the home was just what we needed. We really enjoyed the division of the bedrooms from the living space. The home was decorated nicely and felt very much like home. We cooked in several times and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook with (except the ingredients! And luckily IGA is only a block or 2 away!) The pier and restaurants were all within walking distance, too! We spent one evening walking down the beach during low tide, past the pier, all the way to the sand bars. This is an absolute must do! They were like nothing we had ever seen before. We plan on visiting again next summer, and hopefully staying at Beach Haven again!! Thank you Susan for allowing us to stay in your home. We couldn't have asked for better.

Why they chose this property

Best beachfront location and the views from the deck and master bedroom are memorable. You can see the cargo ships, the pier and sometimes view dolphins swimming by! The dunes and wildlife are also amazing. There is ample space, 2220 square feet and the furnishings , decor and bed linens are replaced on a regular basis. The kitchen is well equipped with dish and cookware, utensils and small appliances. The house is renovated and updated regularly. The one car garage has plenty of beach chairs, a cooler, gas grill, an extra refrigerator, beach umbrella, beach towels and more. You can walk to the grocery store, many restaurants, shops and bars or bike or rent a golf cart to travel around the entire island. You can rent bikes right across the street!
Managed by a family who cares about their guests and property, not a rental management company and we are very attentive to cleaning and use a top quality cleaning company in the vicinity. I love Tybee Island and discovered it in 1985 and have never left.

What makes this property unique

Beachfront, walk to the ocean in minutes. Private walkway. Very relaxing well kept up home and stunning views. Ample space for group of 8 or less. It is in a great location at Tybee Island where you can walk to the market, many restaurants and rent bikes across the street.
