Oasis of tranquility

The stylish Maison des Poissons in the Roucas Blanc is an oasis of tranquility within the vibrant city of Marseille. We were welcomed warmly and enjoyed our stay immensely, venturing out into the city and jumping on bus at the Old Harbour that brought us straight back when the feet hurt.

Peaceful lovely cosy

It was easy to feel at home in the “house of fish” on the property of the very friendly Hubert and Elsie. The house is beautiful and clear, equipped with everything you need. We sat outside a lot: during the evening listening to crickets and in the mornings for having breakfast in the sun. Walk to a bakery and a small beach in less than 5 minutes. The neighbourhood forms a small oasis near the big city life of Marseille. We had a lovely stay, thank you so much!

Cozy getaway

Wonderful cozy getaway, lots of natural lighting while also having the front area canopied by plants for privacy! Perfect for solo travelling or couples. Everything you need, lovely little apartment layout. Caution to those with mobility issues for the stairs inside and all around marseille in general- this is not a city you want to explore if stairs are your arch nemesis. Everyone was so friendly during my trip. Locals are happy to help and be your guide with recommendations! Was able to stroll in this area in the middle of the night safely. Will definitely come back, marseille and the lifestyle here has my heart! Santé!

Wow. Our stay was perfect in every way. Elsie and Hubert are the most amazing hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. They offered to assist us in every way. Even leaving a baguette and croissant fresh from the bakery. They were available but also mindful of your space and privacy and did not intrude. The apartment is not lacking in anything and very secure. It was a beautiful oasis amongst the trees. And you will go home fitter than you arrived. The walk down and back up the hill was is rewarding. Would definitively stay again.

Une expérience mémorable

Cette adorable petite "maison des poissons" (avec un dĂ©cor Ă  convenir au nom) est parfaite pour un couple, avec tout ce qu'il faut pour habiter en confort: ambiance chaleureuse, cuisine bien Ă©quipĂ©e, salle de bain moderne d'une conception ingĂ©nieuse considĂ©rant la taille du site, et des Ă©tagĂšres bien stockĂ©es de livres sur Marseille et ses environs. Le quartier oĂč la maison se trouve est super tranquille et historique, ayant l'air d'ĂȘtre loin de la ville bien qu'il ne le soit pas. Les hĂŽtes Elsie et Hubert gagnent notre vote pour absolument les meilleurs hĂŽtes que nous avions eu dans tous nos voyages. Ils Ă©taient toujours disponibles pour nous aider, mais en mĂȘme temps Ă©taient trĂšs respectueux de notre intimitĂ©. Quand nous sommes arrivĂ©es plus tard que prĂ©vu, ils nous ont amenĂ©s au supermarchĂ© pour ne pas se perdre dans la ville et risquer la fermeture des magasins. Et quand nous avons eu un problĂšme avec notre voiture de location, ils nous ont beaucoup aidĂ©s avec les coup de fils au garage, Ă  la sociĂ©tĂ© de location, etc. Ils ont vraiment dĂ©passĂ© les attentes avec tous--c'est facile Ă  voir que Elsie et Hubert prennent vraiment soin de leur rĂŽle comme hĂŽtes! Pour notre prochaine visite Ă  Marseille, nous resterons sans hĂ©sitation dans la Maison des Poissons.

Logement tout Ă  fait conforme, dans un quartier tranquille et trĂšs agrĂ©able. Les points d'intĂ©rĂȘt sont facilement accessibles en bus ou avec un peu de marche. GrĂŒnes Stadt-Idyll ĂŒber dem Meer

Das FerienhĂ€uschen liegt im sehr grĂŒnen und ruhigen Viertel Roucas Blanc, welches unmittelbar oberhalb des Meeres liegt. Dennoch ist das Stadtzentrum nicht weit und das HĂ€uschen der perfekte Ausgangspunkt fĂŒr AusflĂŒge zum Strand, in die Stadt oder die Calanques. Elsie und Hubert sind herzliche, zuvorkommende und aufmerksame Gastgeber, so dass wir uns sofort zuhause gefĂŒhlt haben. Das FerienhĂ€uschen ist ein Idyll mit wunderbar grossen Fenstern inmitten im GrĂŒn, perfekt fĂŒr zwei Personen. Wir haben alle zehn Tage Ă€usserst genossen und können diese Unterkunft daher vorbehaltlos empfehlen.

CHARMANT SEJOUR A LA MAISON DES POISSONS

Nichée au coeur du Roucas Blanc, cette magnifique petite "Maison des Poissons" a tout pour vous séduire : tant pour sa décoration, son agencement, ses équipements que pour la gentillesse de ses propriétaires, Hubert et Elsie, trÚs attentionnés pendant notre séjour. Bien sûr pour y accéder nous vous recommandons de bons petits mollets, car il faut gravir "quelques marches". Mais tout se mérite !!! En résumé, bel endroit pour découvrir Marseille, sa Corniche et les trésors cachés de ses traverses...

Superbe gßte. La petite terrasse ombragée est trÚs appréciable par fortes chaleurs. Excellent accueil. Etant venus en train, le propriétaire nous a emmenés faire les premiÚres courses nécessaires... plus du pain et des croissants un matin, un apéritif pour clore notre séjour. Nous avons passé une semaine trÚs agréable chez nos hÎtes qui vivent dans un joli quartier résidentiel, prÚs de la cÎte. Le cottage était trÚs confortable, décoré avec goût, lumineux et spacieux (bien que la salle de bain soit petite). La terrasse sous les arbres est un atout pour les journées chaudes. Nous avons été accueillis de maniÚre amicale et hospitaliÚre, le premier matin avec une baguette et des croissants, une bouteille de rosé dans le réfrigérateur. Hautement recommandé !

A little gem

We wanted to be outside of the city, close to the ocean and beaches. And we were lucky to find it. A cute little house, with excellent tasteful interior. Perfect for design lovers like me. Kitchen and bathroom are provided with everything you need. It felt like home immidiately. Elsie and Hubert are the best hosts you can imagine, great hospitality, communication without problems, respekt your privacy. We can highly recommend and would love to come back. Thanks a lot again.

Tout bien ! Propriétaires sympas, de trÚs bons conseils et discrets. Logement bien situé (Mer à 5min à pied par un super chemin), propre, beau, bien équipé, au calme. Tout est facilement accessible à vélo (Ville de Marseille et premiÚres Calanques en direction du Sud.)

Un séjour enchantant au milieu d'un havre de verdure

Elsie et Hubert ont été adorables tant dans leur accueil chaleureux que pour leurs conseils de randonnées et leurs petites intentions. Nous conseillons vivement la maison aux poissons, parfaitement équipée, bien située, à deux pas de la plage du prophÚte et des vélos pour se rendre au centre ville, calme et trÚs bien conçue. Un coin de paradis!

Elsie et Hubert nous ont accueilli avec chaleur et beaucoup d’attention. Toujours soucieux de notre confort et bien-ĂȘtre ils ont Ă©tĂ© disponibles tout au long de notre sĂ©jour. La maison des poissons est un vĂ©ritable coin de paradis dans Marseille! Le quartier des Roucas Blanc est un village dans la ville, trĂšs pittoresque et Ă  seulement 5 minutes Ă  pieds de la Corniche Kennedy et la plage du ProphĂšte. La maison est chaleureuse et la petite terrasse est parfaite pour prendre les repas Ă  n’importe quelle heure de la journĂ©e ou tout simplement pour se relaxer ! On a trĂšs envie d’y retourner !

Tolles HĂ€uschen mit bemĂŒhten Vermietern und schwieriger Parksituation

Wir haben in diesem wirklich geschmackvoll eingerichteten HĂ€uschen einen wunderschönen Urlaub verbracht, nachdem wir schon im Vorfeld nur positive Erfahrungen mit den Vermietern gemacht haben. Sie sind sehr bemĂŒht, gut erreichbar und geben Tipps. Das Haus an sich ist durch seine ungewöhnliche Raumaufteilung wirklich spannend und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Allerdings war es nicht ganz so sauber, wie wir uns es gewĂŒnscht hĂ€tten. (Kein Dreck, aber Staub und Spinnenweben) Was bei diesem Haus wirklich ein kleines bis mittleres Problem darstellt, ist die Parksituation. Je grĂ¶ĂŸer das Auto, desto schwieriger ist schon die Anreise ĂŒber die sehr schmalen, teils steilen StrĂ€ĂŸchen des Roucas Blanc. ParkplĂ€tze sind nur parallel der Straßen zu finden und eher Mangelware. Man muss sich also auf einen kleinen Fußweg zum Haus einstellen. Was dagegen sehr angenehm ist, ist dass der ein recht kleiner, aber schöner Sandstrand direkt fußlĂ€ufig ĂŒber einige Treppen erreichbar ist. Dadurch dass das Haus in einem reinen Wohngebiet liegt, sind Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und diverse andere GeschĂ€fte und LĂ€den ein StĂŒckchen weg. Allgemein ist der Standort fĂŒr einen entspannten, ruhigen Urlaub in der Stadt aber perfekt. Und Marseille an sich und die Region darum mit den Calanques und StĂ€dten wie Cassis oder Bandol ist sowieso immer wieder eine Reise wert. Alles in allem also ein wirklich tolles Haus fĂŒr zwei Personen, das sehr zu empfehlen ist, wenn man keine Angst vor engen Straßen hat.

Ich kann mich nur allen anderen Bewertern anschließen. Wir haben sehr, sehr nette, freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber angetroffen. Wenn es 10 Punkte dafĂŒr geben wĂŒrde, wĂŒrde ich sie gerne fĂŒr die Gastgeber vergeben. Die Lage und der Stadtteil ist wirklich angenehm und ruhig. 2 Buslinien in der NĂ€he. Der Metzger, BĂ€cker und das Restaurant in der NĂ€he sind ein Besuch wert. Beste QualitĂ€t und sehr lecker. Die Wohnung ist modern und schön eingerichtet. Wir haben schöne und unvergessliche Tage in Marseille verbracht.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour.

La maison des poissons est tout Ă  fait charmante et trĂšs confortable. La cuisine est bien Ă©quipĂ©e et la maison joliment dĂ©corĂ©e. On y trouve plusieurs livres sur Marseille et les environs ainsi que des plans de la ville. De plus, Hubert et Elsie nous ont fourni plusieurs renseignements pratiques. La climatisation nous a permis de dormir confortablement malgrĂ© la chaleur. Nous avons particuliĂšrement apprĂ©ciĂ© le coin jardin trĂšs privĂ© sous les arbres oĂč nous avons pris nos repas. Hubert et Elsie sont des hĂŽtes discrets et attentionnĂ©s qui nous ont gĂątĂ©s tout au long de notre sĂ©jour.
