About Joss Carruthers
Art historian, Italian and French speaking. Love of Italy - food, history, culture and countryside.
Joss Carruthers purchased this Villa in 2005
Why Joss Carruthers chose San Severino Marche
We fell in love with the Le Marche region and in particular were drawn to this unspoilt area. Indeed Italians regard Le Marche as one of the regions which best embodies and preserves the authentic traditions of Italy. We totally rebuilt the house which was originally a ruin. In this part of Italy you won't see crowds of tourists and tourist buses. The food and wine of the region is exceptional and modestly priced.
What makes this Villa unique
Wonderful views, an ever changing landscape, sun on the pool from dawn till dusk, beautiful walks from the house or further afield in to the mountains. There are numerous marked Nordic Walking trails. For larger parties, there are numerous private spaces at the villa to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet - under the portico, a vine, in a hammock...
