Lovely Guadeloupe villa

Lovely well maintained house overlooking the sea and natural trails. Pleasant 5 minute walk down to the beach, or just stay and lounge in the pool. Veronique was extremely welcoming and helpful and even helped us organize dinner on our first evening there. A great base for exploring the islands of Guadeloupe, or just a nice place to relax. We are a family of 5 with small children and found the setting and location both pleasant and convenient. Highly recommended!

A Wonderful Property

We have just returned from spending two weeks at this wonderful house. The location is unmatched, with privacy, beautiful views, and perfect weather. The house is better than described with everything you could possibly need. After exploring the islands during the day, we always looked forward to returning to the house for a relaxing evening overlooking the restless ocean. However, a word of caution to any non French speaking guests. The island is, of course, French, and virtually everything is only French, including all the tourist literature. Normally when we travel to a foreign country, we rely on the internet to find descriptions of excursions, restaurants, etc. in English. This house has internet that's only a step up from dial-up. In other words, you can use it for email but not much else. The owner, Anne, was very gracious in trying to rectify this situation, but was unable to do it during our visit. If the internet is important to you, then you should verify that this has been rectified before you book. If this is not the case, then we can unreservedly recommend this house.

Dear Robert, Thank you very much for your very kind and warm words. It feels great to know you found the sea view and our house as relaxing and breath-taking as we do. The communication with you was always easy. It was a pleasure hosting you and your family and I wish to hear from you again ! Many years ago, for the confort of our host we subscribed a monthly 3G key and nobody never complained. When you were in the villa, you could benefit from 3giga of internet at 4G+ speed. On february 2018, after your information about internet and listening to your advices, we have rectified the situation and increased the 3giga key to 10giga of internet at 4G+ speed, which is more or less what people have on their phone per month nowadays... This should be more than enough to please any internet expect if travelers plan on playing online games or whatching movies. My 17-year old Snapchat and video content addict daughter has 10giga per month and she is doing juste fine. So, I hope, should anyone then. Thank you to have informed me about this little problem, which is now fixed. I followed your recommandations. If you come back to my villa you will appreciate this new phone package. Lovely spot but no water ruined our holiday!

My sister, her husband, their 5 yrs old daughter from Boston (USA), my husband and I from London (UK) rented this villa early July (2016) for a family get together. It is indeed a lovely villa in a beautiful spot, which we thoroughly enjoyed until Thursday 2016 morning when we had no water. The local contact/caretaker told us that when water stops, it usually takes 24hours before it comes back and to wait until Thursday night. She said that the whole of Saint -François was without water, including her household. We had to go out to eat and when we were at the Colombo restaurant, which is down the road, they confirmed they had water and suggested that it was the complex that may have been the problem because of separate water grids according to the local municipal. We were not only confused with this information but to be told that water stoppage is common was also distressing. No where in the advert is this mentioned as a caution. We contacted the owner late Thursday on our return from the restaurant, when we found that the water had still not come back to the Villa. She was not very sympathetic nor helpful. Our concerns were that we had a child who needed a shower after the sea/pool exposure. All 4/5 of us were experiencing compromised hygiene, including no flush in the toilet. The kitchen was smelling due to heat and unwashed used utensils. The villa became inhabitable. We were told to use the pool water, which was a poor substitute, although we were happy to compromise for 24 hours. On Friday morning, we still did not have water, we were by now short of clothes as we had planned our holiday based on staying in a villa not camping. We therefore contacted the local person and the owner who were less than helpful so had no choice but to leave the Villa at 12 noon to go to a hotel and paid for a night ourselves. The owner has been contacted several times to discuss the inconvenience but she has not returned our calls nor our emails. On 26th Aug, we wrote our final letter asking for contact regarding this issue and to date there has not been any response.

I note that the villa is indeed a lovely villa in a beautiful spot that the family enjoyed. But this family was not lucky ! The French Water Company in Guadeloupe was doing some repairs on pipes all over Grande Terre. It was renovating all the old pipes. Many towns like Saint-François, Sainte-Anne, Baie- Mahault, Le Moule, Les Abymes, etc...were, one after the other, disturbed in the water distribution. I don't know if this restaurant located 7kms away from the villa really had water, ( who knows ?), but all the areas around were having these cuts one after the other. It was not reserved to the complex. The Central factory is located in Sainte-Anne in Desvarieux, working for all Grande Terre. This is why, this problem never happened before except some days last July 2016. This is why no need of an advert as a caution, and really, these tourists were unlucky. I suppose that this kind of works happen also in England and USA. This family was informed by everyone in town, by neighbours and by the local contact caretaker since everybody was living the same. When they call me in France ( 6700 kms far away) at 2 o'clock in the morning, I was awoke with a start and anxious because of the time difference, but was kind. It was difficult for me to be more helpfull because of the hour, the number of kilometers and this event not depending on me. I explained it was " Un cas de Force Majeure : - Irrésistible, imprévisible et extérieur " Water came back definitively but this family left the villa very quickly and did'nt hear that this cut will be short, as everybody told them and as it was explained in the newspapers. I answered to these tourists by mail or phone calls each time it was necessary and useful as the caretaker did also before me many times, reminding them the " Force Majeure ". All the others tourists around stayed in their villas and were a little more patient, especially villas with swimming-pools, as mine.I am sorry for this little desagrement, but I am not responsible.

Merveilleux!

Parfaitement conforme à l’annonce, la villa est idéale pour passer de merveilleuses vacances tout confort dans un environnement privilégié. La vue est splendide, le jardin magnifique et en quelques minutes à pied nous sommes sur la plage. La literie est très confortable et la cuisine est équipée de tout ce dont on a besoin pour cuisiner. La piscine est un vrai plus pour se rafraîchir après les balades. Les informations données par Anne sont très claires et l’accueil de Véronique chaleureux et efficace. Mention spéciale pour les arbres qui permettent d’avoir de l’ombre et de pouvoir contempler la mer sur les bains de soleil à toute heure de la journée. Un grand merci à Anne pour nous avoir permis de profiter de sa belle villa et à Véronique pour son accueil.

Oui, c'est vraiment magnifique, vue mer, lagon et île de la Désirade en première ligne sans aucun toit devant, ni ligne électrique, ni aucun obstacle pour admirer pendant des heures ce spectacle splendide l Nous l'apprécions toujours autant depuis des années, sans nous lasser, que l'on s'installe au soleil ou à l'ombre ! Merci de votre avis sur l'équipement et la literie de la villa, nous veillons à ce que rien ne manque et tout est toujours remplacé si nécessaire. N'hésitez pas à revenir à la belle villa du Paradis ! La Guadeloupe est belle, fleurie, ensoleillée et accueillante toute l'année.

La mer enface ,les pieds dans l’eau ,un espace de vie magique une vue exceptionelle ,bien ventillee,dans un environnement calme et protegee. Face à l'océan...

situation sur la pointe des chateaux et vue mer tout a fait exceptionnelle ,maison vaste bien concue et bien ventilée naturellement , tres agreable et calme, un vrai farniente avec piscine en bord de large terrasse couverte facile a surveiller pour les enfants. Acces plage de la Gourde a 10 minutes a pied et plage des Salines à 10 minutes voiture.Nous y reviendrons avec joie.Merci à la proprietaire pour ce bel endroit

La très belle plage , en face et accessible à pied, par un petit chemin sans voiture : le rêve ! Je suis ravie que la disposition de la villa vous ait plu, sa piscine et les alizés rafraichissants. . Un havre de paix confortable et très bien placé

Un endroit paradisiaque, calme avec vue sur mer. La maison est très agréable et très bien agencée, et chacun sa salle de bain ! Entièrement équipée, et bien exposé. La piscine est très agréable avec un liner et margelles complètement neuves. Nous retenons cette adresse et auront le plaisir d'y revenir très prochainement en famille, avec des amis, ... Merci d'avoir bien souligné que la piscine a été entièrement refaite, (en octobre 2021) que ce soit le liner ou bien les margelles tout autour de la piscine. Je suis ravie que la villa confortable très bien agencée, entièrement équipée, bien exposée et sa magnifique vue mer en première ligne, imprenable, vous aient plu. Oui, un petit Paradis sur terre très calme avec accès à pied à la magnifique plage de l'Anse à la Gourde en 5 minutes ! A très bientôt !

Bel emplacement mais besoin de renovation

Belle maison avec piscine,vue remarquable,comme pour la dizaine de villas identiques qui sont en meilleur état.La propriété a besoin de rajeunissement(peintures,piscine,électricité).Abord par un escalier raide sans rampe .La plage n’est pas si proche qu’indique,assez longue marche ou voiture pour y aller.Décoration faite avec goût .

Je vous remercie pour votre appréciation objective indiquant qu'il s'agit d'une belle maison avec piscine qui a une vue remarquable dans un bel emplacement et est décorée avec goût. Elle a, en effet, une magnifique vue dégagée de tout palmier encombrant, en première ligne, vue imprenable sur le lagon, sans poteau électrique, sans antenne de télévision et sans toit de voisin ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas. Quant au reste, ma villa a été entièrement repeinte à l'extérieur il y a 3 ans, les autres villas voisines ne peuvent donc pas être en meilleur état puisque définitivement vous ne parlez subjectivement que de l'extérieur, n'ayant pas pu visiter leur intérieur. Si vous parlez de la peinture intérieure, elle a été refaite il y a 5 ans, mais nous ne sommes pas à l'abri de locataires indélicats qui tâchent un mur ou arrachent une prise électrique, ce qui est immédiatement corrigé par Véronique. Il est vraiment regrettable que vous n'ayez pas trouvé le petit chemin qui mène à la plage en 5 minutes à pied, petit chemin dans la nature sans voiture réservé aux piétons, juste en face de la grille de la résidence. Vous avez donc fait le " grand " tour, à pied sur 300 mètres ou en voiture en 1 minute, la plage de l'Anse à la Gourde étant vraiment en face de la villa. Je rappelle que vous avez accordé la bonne note de 4 étoiles, ce qui ne parait pas cohérent avec des remarques subjectives.

Belle vue mais manque d'intimité

Nous avons choisi cette villa pour la vue qui est magnifique. La villa est un peu vieillotte mais tout y est et il ne manque de rien. Attention, si vous cherchez un peu d'intimité sur votre terrasse et à la piscine, ne choisissez pas cette villa, le seul accès à la villa voisine se trouve sur devant la terrasse et la jardin, nous avions donc toute la journée des vas et viens des voisins juste devant nous. A part ce point qui nous a déçu et qui n'était pas spécifié dans le descriptif de la villa, nous y avons passé un beau séjour.

Merci Serge de votre commentaire pour ce beau séjour, comme vous le précisez. Nous sommes ravis que vous ayez apprécié la vue magnifique et la villa bien équipée. Elle est meublée en style créole, avec beaucoup de couleurs et cela la distingue de toutes ces villas peintes en gris, blanc et taupe, avec des meubles dignes de ce vendeur suédois. Nos meubles ont tous été fabriqués à BALI et nous ne souhaitons absolument pas que notre villa ressemble à un catalogue suédois. Les carreaux de ciment au sol sont d'actualité, mais pas gris, blancs ou beiges. Le passage des éventuels voisins (quand la villa voisine est louée, ce qui n'est pas toujours le cas) ne peut pas être " toute la journée ". C'est toujours un passage qui dure 2 secondes, le temps de quitter leur villa, les jardins étant véritablement séparés par de luxuriantes haies végétales et assurant l'intimité. Et en face de la villa, une vue mer et lagon à 180 degrés, en première ligne et imprenable, avec vue aussi sur l'île de la Désirade, avec pour seul passa Il s'agit d'une Résidence privée, réputée depuis des années et surveillée avec portail, digicode et maison de gardien à l'entrée. Il y a donc, de temps en temps, des voisins, et qui sont toujours des personnes discrètes et bien éduquées. Au plaisir de vous revoir dans ce petit Paradis, devant cette vue de rêve !

Nous avons passé un séjour divin : une vue fantastique et apaisante et surf tous les jours Si la maison est agréable, c’est surtout l’emplacement qui en fait un endroit de rêve La propriétaire nous avait envoyé des éléments pour que notre arrivée et notre séjour se passent bien et Veronique nous a gentiment accueillis et a répondu à toutes nos questions pendant notre séjour Merci beaucoup !

Paradis du bout du monde

Maison superbe donnant sur la mer. Expérience totalement dépaysante. Notre hôte a toujours été disponible pour nous. Merci pour cet accueil et les petites attentions à l’arrivée (punch, fruits et frigo déjà un peu garni)!

De notre arrivée à notre départ nous avons apprécié être dans cette villa. Vue exceptionnelle, on ne s'en lasse pas. Un décor de rêve pour les petits déjeuner. Véronique nous a accueilli avec le sourire et beaucoup de sympathie. et des délicates attentions. Idem pour notre départ. Merci à elle. La propriétaire a toujours été réactive à nos messages. La villa se situe dans un parc d'une vingtaine de villas. Nous avons eu de la chance d'avoir des voisins calmes (les villas sont proches les unes des autres sans être collées les unes aux autres). Notre séjour était parfait. Il faut une voiture pour se rendre à St François, faire les courses par exemple. Sinon vous avez des plages à proximité immédiate à pieds. En conclusion, nous recommandons cette villa, et remercions encore Véronique pour son accueil, et la propriétaire pour sa disponibilité.

Amazing Place!!!! Book it NOW!

What an incredible house. So cozy, easy to be in, the view is spectacular and going to sleep every night with the rustle of the palm trees and the surf was magical. The beach is unique and gorgeous. 4 star food truck with tables under the trees are 2 mins from the villa. Playing cards on the patio was so fun, and the breeze keeps it cool and the bugs away. I just can’t say enough great things about this place! The owner and manger were so attentive and kind. The height on the hill makes it private and so lovely. If you have children below 7, my only watch out would be their safety at the edge of the hill. Thank you Anne for everything!!!

Loved it. So perfect for our young family

3 beds and 3 baths makes all the difference. Great little pool. Perfect for teaching our 3 year old to swim. Wonderful having a beach a short stroll away. We’d go down there each evening before supper and bedtime. Loved the island. So family focused. Probably the best family holiday we have ever had. Thank you Anne and Guadeloupe:). We will definitely be back.

Séjour très agréable

La villa zagadi correspond tout à fait au descriptif figurant sur l'annonce ! Grande Vue sur la mer et la côte bordée de palmiers ! Avec en fond l'île de la desirade ! L'intérieur est décoré avec beaucoup de goût, tout est pensé rien n'est oublié ! L'accueil chaleureux avec Véronique ! En résumé d'excellentes vacances 🌴 à renouveler.. .. Super villa

Nicest beach on Guadeloupe

Clean and comfortable, would stay again. French directions were a little off. Take the left turn off to Chez Honore, then the next right turn is the white sand,coral, and rock road that is your last option before you come to a T at the beach. Further than the 200 meters suggested . The property manager also prefers a phone call when you land at the airport.

A breathtaking view of the sea is yours when dining on your open air porch

We spend a February week in St Francoise and really enjoyed our time. The entire island is quite low key - only small hotels and beach bungalows, and almost all of the tourists were French - only met one American couple the whole week. This house was well situated, in a protected enclave down a quiet street. The development has 17 houses, most used for vacationers. While the neighbors were quite close, it was relatively quiet and private. The house is bright and very airy and the best feature is the wrap-around porch with a magnificent view of the sea. Dining outside is a real treat. You hear the waves crashing all day long and you can swing in the colorful hammock. While the pool is quite small - it is good for cooling off. The kitchen was large, easy to use and we found what we needed. Many beaches nearby so you can go to a different one each day. Definitely visit the MEMORIAL ACT which is a museum that just opened, about 45 minute drive in the capital.

Séjour magnifique !

Nous aurions aimé pouvoir rester plus longtemps... Nous avons passé pour la deuxième fois 1 semaine superbe au sein de cette villa et nous y retournerons à nouveau. La pointe des châteaux et l'océan permet de profiter du meilleur climat de l'île et la vue de la résidence a enchanté tous nos réveils, déjeuner ou soirées. La villa est parfaitement entretenue, l'accueil fut adorable accompagné du tipunch et du petit déjeuner le lendemain matin. Le paysagiste nous assure un jardin et une piscine impeccable toute la semaine tout en se faisant discret, sauf quand on l'invite à prendre un verre en terrasse! La maison est parfaite en famille ou à 3 couples, chacun sa chambre et sa salle de bain et le bar de la cuisine permet de très bons moments face à la mer en préparant les langoustes récupérées fraîchement au port de Saint-François. La vie se passe sur la terrasse très confortable autour de la piscine et du hamac ou à l'extérieur. La plage au bout du chemin en bas de la villa est superbe et très peu exploitée, un très bel atout lorsqu'on a pas envie de se déplacer. Cependant, la marina de Saint-François est à 10min pour un bon dîner et les commerces très accueillant. Les propriétaires nous ont conseillés plusieurs services sans le moindre effort. La voiture était prête à la résidence avec le trajet de l'aéroport assuré, et le gardien est également traiteur pour nous faire profiter de ses acras et autres plats typiques la veille pour le lendemain. Les propriétaires sont forts sympathiques et à l'écoute à tous niveaux et vous assurent aucun manque ou hésitation avant le départ ou pendant le séjour. Nous recommandons sans hésiter pour le coup !

Un séjour enchanteur

Si notre séjour de 2 semaines en Guadeloupe fut très réussi, la villa y a largement contribué. Nous confirmons que les photos et les descriptions de la maison sont fidèles à la réalité. La villa, au sein d'une résidence nichée au milieu d'une végétation luxuriante, offre une vue splendide sur la mer dont on ne peut pas se lasser. C'est une vrai maison familiale, très bien entretenue et équipée. Les superbes plages de sable blanc de l'anse à la Gourde (accessible à pieds) et des Salines (5 mn en voiture) sont incontournables. Le marché aux poissons de Saint François (10 mn en voiture) très bien approvisionné, satisfera les amateurs de poissons et langoustes. Dossier utile et complet fourni par la propriétaire sur les restaurants alentours. Gentillesse et grande disponibilité de Fabienne qui nous a accueillis.

The perfect holiday house

Probably the best holiday house we have ever been to. Stunning view from the house, perfect location with the sea nearby. Possibility to have home made accras and rhum delivered to the house. Quiet, peaceful. The house is absolutely charming and the Pointe aux Chateaux offers a great view . I can only recommend for a family of 4 to 6. We were a family of 4 with 2 kids 9 and 11 y old and with grand parents..PERFECT

Très Bien

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette location avec piscine, entre Saint François et la pointe des chateaux. La vue de la terrasse est très belle (comme sur la photo de présentation). La maison est spacieuse et très bien équipée, l'accueil chaleureux. C'est un endroit idéal pour se reposer à l'ombre des arbres. A Saint François , il y a beaucoup de restaurants, le golf, l'aérodrome, la marina, la plage.. De Saint François, nous sommes allés à Petite Terre (ballade à recommander, on y voit toutes sortes de poissons, des dauphins et parfois des baleines!) location à recommander!!!

agréable séjour

Agréablement bien située dans un site calme et magnifique, et aprés avoir été trés gentiment guidée par la propriétaire des lieux, notre séjour dans cette résidence restera pour nous un merveilleux souvenir. vue magnifique, calme, prestation de qualité. Nous conseillons ce lieu qui est un havre de paix et de détente absolue.
