About the host
Hosted by Giles Nicholas
We let out our holiday home to others so they can enjoy Wales as much as we do. We seek to make sure our cottage is very well equipped and very comfortable for their stays and help our guests as much as possible with suggestions for what to do and where to eat (we have a long list we provide to all guests). We are always happy to communicate by phone and on text to help guests with any questions they might have when staying at the property. We have always had very consistent top ratings from our guests.
Why they chose this property
Woodbine is our family holiday home which we bought many years ago in this quiet village in the hills as it was close to fishing on the River Towy and River Cothi. There is a lovely footpath walk behind the cottage which goes to the top of the hill behind and from the top you get amazing panoramic views over miles and miles of beautiful unspoilt countryside. There is a beautiful village church with regular services, half in Welsh and half in English. And next door is the village pub, Penybont Inn.The cottage is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of city or town life - it is very peaceful, with only the sounds or sheep or cattle the other side of the valley.
What makes this property unique
The property has been renovated with a new kitchen and bedroom extension. The cottage is a great base to explore Wales in all directions into the Brechfa Forest for mountain biking and walks or gold mine, the beaches to the south west and the market towns of Llandeilo and Carmarthen and fishing on the Towy and Cothi or the multiple castles in the area. And then return to the peace and quiet of this lovely village.
