A high quality, comfortable home with unsurpassable hospitality from the owners

Monte das Pedras offers such spatial accommodation with a fabulous outdoor kitchen and relaxing area that it is hard not to use superlatives throughout the review. What also sets the home apart, is the brilliant hospitality offered by Angelina and Jaime. They pay attention to the small details in the home, garden and pool. They were extremely helpful and were the perfect hosts everybody wants on a family holiday - invisible but available - and oh so pleasant. We used the outdoor oven and made pizza in it. It was fun and successful, with some guidance on oven use from Jaime. The barbecue was perfect and, as the local supermarket offered prepared kebabs, fish etc, home preparation was minimal. A well stocked kitchen made life so much easier and the flexible outdoor seating worked perfectly for 6 adults. The dining table was a perfect size for our evenings of board games/cards. All the seats were comfortable and absolutely all the wonderful facilities made for a perfect stay. Thank you to Angelina and Jaime for everything. We wish you every success and much happiness.

Fantastic!

We had most wonderful holiday in beautiful place. Pictures in advert are great but in reality the villa is even better. The villa welcomes you with 3 beautiful bedrooms which are very spacious with comfortable beds, lots of storage space. Cosy living room offers you relaxation space by fireplace or on sofa with a book. Fantastic kitchen is well equipped with anything you need to prepare your meals. The pantry offers additional storage and hosts washing machine, which is a nice add-on if you stay longer and need to refresh your clothes. Outside villa is well kept with beautiful flowers, and palm trees as well decorated with local stones - where the name of villa takes it origin from - Monte das Pedras. Patio area is fantastic - you'll want to spend most of your time here - you can cook on BBQ, eat, lounge on sofa or hammock or just simply sun tan or dip in the swimming pool. The villa is spotless clean, modern decorated with a touch of local tradition - simply beautiful. Location was perfect for what we wanted on holiday - quiet, idyllic village bursting with local folklore and friendly people. There's lots to do and visit in the area, but if you have a car - the motorway gives you opportunity to explore even more. We would like to thank you Jamie, Angelina and Mariana for your fantastic hosting, help and recommendations where to visit. Thank you, dziekujemy, obrigado!

We love to receive and meet Anna and the rest of the family. These hosts were particularly friendly, pleasant and calm. It was a pleasure talking to them. Er even helemaal tussenuit in Portugal

Zeer aangenaam verblijf in Portugal gehad, bij deze uiterst charmante gastvrouw en -heer, Angelina en Jaime. Er is in de buurt van alles te zien en te doen, van mooie natuurwandelingen, tot culturele uitstapjes naar diverse steden in het mooie Portugal. Een echte aanrader om van het land te genieten en er even helemaal tussen uit te zijn.

Desde a casa espaçosa, acolhedora e limpa, ao espetacular espaço exterior para conviver, passámos um excelente fim-de-semana neste cantinho maravilhoso. Com uma boa piscina, espaço de refeições exterior e uma hortinha biológica, passámos o tempo inteiro a aproveitar o bom tempo no jardim. A Angelina e o Jaime são uns hóspedes muito atenciosos, prestáveis e simpáticos que tornaram a nossa experiência ainda mais incrível. Adorámos a experiência e iremos voltar certamente!

Recomendo a casa "Monte das Pedras" a todos os níveis, fica situada numa zona muito sossegada, espaço exterior muito cuidado, com uma ótima zona de lazer, a casa é muito ampla, limpeza 5*, confortável e bem equipada. A D. Angelina foi muito simpática e sempre disponível.

Zonnig pareltje in Portugal

Wat een rust en ruimte hebben we mogen ervaren in Pego. Tuin, huis was allemaal netjes aangelegd en het zwembad was ideaal met deze mooie temperaturen. Net alsof je een eigen mini-resort tot je beschikking had... maar dit is vele malen leuker, want we werden regelmatig op een persoonlijke manier in het zonnetje gezet door de gastheer en -dame. Wat een lieve gastvrije mensen. Mochten wij volgend jaar weer naar Portugal gaan, dan boeken wij er weer een weekje bij.

One of the best houses I've rented!

Very clean place, well decorated. Has everything you could need in the kitchen. Sitting by the fire at night is very relaxing! Angelina was super helpful and always available to help if needed. Can't recommend this place enough! Only small drawbacks I can think of (which weren't enough to give it less than 5 stars): - Can take a while to get hot water (like 5 minutes) and a few times during the shower, it did get colder for a minute before becoming hot again (even though nobody else used water in the house). Note that we were there in December. Probably a non issue in the summer. - The parking place is just by their dog. The dog is super friendly but if you're afraid of dogs, you might want to arrange something with Angelina before your arrival (maybe park on the street? Front door to the house isn't near the dog).

zeer verzorgde woning

Prachtige woning met alle voorzieningen de eigenaresse doet haar best om het haar gasten naar hun zin te maken. Het plaatselijke restaurant Tulipa is uitstekend voor zeer redelijke prijzen. Abrantes moet je niet veel van verwachten.

Gite très confortable,au calme,très central pour les visites de l'arrière-pays piscine très appréciée avec la chaleur Angelina nous a appris beaucoup sur la culture du pays elle est de très bon conseil pour le tourisme

C'est avec grand plaisir que nous avons reçu Mr Jean-Louis et sa sympathique famille. La gentillesse de la petite Alice restera certainement dans notre souvenir. Je recommende vivemente cette famille très respectueuse, discrète et très interessée para les traditions de notre pays. Ils ont laissé la maison bien rangée et propre. Nous espérons pouvoir recevoir à nouveau un jour cette gentille famille au Monte das Pedras!

Séjour parfait

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au Portugal. Angelina et sa famille nous ont parfaitement accueilli dans leur superbe maison. Ils ont toujours été à notre écoute et de bons conseils pour effectuer des visites dans la région. Ils ont toujours été disponibles pour le moindre souci et/ou demande. Je vous recommande sans hésiter cette maison. Et cette région qui vaut le coup d'être vue.

Incredible stay!!

Lovely place and lovely hosts! We spent a week in the pretty house and everything was perfectly prepared by Angelina and her daughter. Their warm welcome made us feel like home. The house offers enough space for several people and the garden is ideal to relax, have dinner or breakfast in the morning sun on the amazing rustic porch. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you need to prepare nice meals. There is also a lot of helpful info material on the area around the house and the beautiful fluvial beaches. Definitely a place to enjoy Portugal's backcountry and still be close to many exciting places to visit. Thanks a lot to Mariana, Angelina and Jaime for that beautiful stay!

Vacances incroyables!

Notre séjour chez Angelina a été tout simplement incroyable! La maison est très belle, lumineuse, confortable et très bien équipée. La situation géographique est privilégiée, près de beaux endroits à visiter et de belles plages fluviales. La maison entourée de silence, c'est un endroit idéal pour des vacances reposantes. Angelina nous a très bien accueillis et il a été difficile de partir!!
