If you're looking for a large rental property close to best ski slopes to accommodate multiple families or lots of singles - Hideaway is a gem. Plenty of bedrooms, importantly lots of bathrooms, living rooms, large outdoor hot tub, on the access road to best ski with the luxury of a private setting.
Stayed at Killington with big group before? Felt like sardines? Waiting for bathroom? Not in Hideaway Chalet, world of difference.
We are icon in large group market in our area from 2002 for good reason.
Large private fully maintained parking lot and circular driveway can handle all and cars with ease. No need for SUV or all wheel drive vehicle, although we don't mind if you have one.
If you comparing prices, make sure you compare apples to apples we don't have any hidden fees, hot tub fees, linen fees, and other made up surprise fees. It makes big difference in our favor.

We can get you ski tickets and rental packages with significant discount for entire group. This alone can save thousands depending on length of your stay.

The Hideaway Chalet is conveniently located in heart of Killington, minutes from the base lodge, shops and restaurants. few minutes from Pico, 25 Min to Woodstock/Queechee with quintessential covered bridges, Quechee Gorge, antique & boutique shops. 20 minutes to Rutland for more restaurants, shops, movies and Paramount Theatre. 35 min to Okeemo & Ludlow.

Bus stop at our property, go to ski slopes or return independently. Get you ski boots on in house get in bus and you are on K1 gondola in very short time.

Hideaway's Private setting is surrounded by several wooded acres and offers a large outdoor hot tub, large deck with gas grill and beautiful views. Ample parking. Handicap accessible.

Inside you'll find three spacious, clean apartments across 3 floors (over 5,500 sq ft). Perfect for those looking to book a large rental for multiple families. Or partial house rentals available for smaller groups. The main (mid) floor's open living room and dining area can comfortably fit your entire group (24); or retreat to your own, private, roomy living spaces. Large screen TV's and WiFi. Total: 8 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms. Meticulously cleaned. 2 night minimum stay required. High ski season my require 3 nights or early check in late check out option.

Hideaway Chalet has three apartment spaces. The whole house may be rented together, or choose to rent the lower two apartments (6 bed, 4 baths); Or upstairs apartment (2 bed, 2 bath) separately.

The Main (middle) level
This level is on the ground floor. Expansive open living and diving room can accommodate your entire group. 52' HD Flat screen TV, large sectional couch, comfy chairs, and plenty of seating throughout.
-3 Bedrooms (1 Queen; 1 Double; 1 Bunk room with 2 set of Twin bunks sleeps 4)

-2 Bathrooms (1 Full; 1 Half)

-Expansive living room with pull out couch allows additional sleepers

-52' Flat Screen TV, DVD, Cable, WiFi, plenty of games for family.

-Full Kitchen with lots of bar seating and beautiful over-sized wood dining table, plus additional dining table and chairs easily accessible

-Microwave, Dishwasher, coffee maker

-Large deck with one gas and one charcoal grill, outdoor furniture. Beautiful views all around

-This level is handicap accessible, upon request. The entrance has a grass path which would need to be shoveled during winter months. If this option is necessary, please be sure to inform owner to guarantee usage.

3rd Level
The top floor is warm, bright and sunny. This apartment has its own entrance and may be rented separately. Please see our other listing for upper level only rates.

Perfect location for a long Ski weekend

Jan was incredibly responsive and helpful! The place is exactly as listed and is a wonderful location Central to all restaurants and there is a bus stop at the end of the driveway to get to the ski mountain so there was no need to wait in the mountain parking traffic. We had a blast here and highly recommend

Amazing Home for our 7th Annual Father/Son Ski Trip

House was amazing and clean and convenient to the slopes. Jan was an excellent communicator and kept on top of everything. Plenty of room for our large group and lots of fun extras. Hot tub was clean and cared for and all of the things we needed were included. Would stay here again. An amazing weekend for all of us! Great stay at Hideaway Chalet

Our large group of 5 families had a fantastic time at Hideaway Chalet - we hope to be back! It is conveniently located just minutes from Killington base area, with many nearby restaurants and a grocery store. Our large group was easily accommodated, with plenty of beds and bathrooms. The large living area on the main floor provided enough space for all of us to sit down for meals, and the third floor and downstairs living areas were great for when we split off into different groups. We also appreciated the large deck and the hot tub. We had a few questions and the owner Jan responded very quickly to help out. We would highly recommend Hideaway Chalet!

Excellent Stay

We loved the Hideaway! The home itself, the location to mountains, and the homeowner, were above and beyond. We went with a large group of family and friends and slept all of us very comfortably. The living rooms areas were great for hanging with large group, as we were there for the Super Bowl are were able to all fit comfortably. Jan is very responsive and helpful. And of course the hot tub is a great plus after a day on the mountains! Would definitely return!

Comfortable house and great location

The house was comfortable for 24 people. Some of the rooms were a little small and the place is pretty basic in terms of quality. Not fancy and in average condition and the main floor was large enough for the whole group to gather. Those who slept on the futons seemed comfortable and the upstairs and downstairs living areas were quiet enough for them. Having a large group is always fun and the Hideaway Chalet was a good host for our group. I would not call this place "luxury". It was decent.

Great for large groups!

The house was perfectly cleaned and ready for us when we arrived. Jan was also a fantastic host - checking in to make sure we were prepared before arrival and that we were comfortable during our stay. The house was perfect for large groups, as it's essentially 3 separate apartments, and just a 3-4 minute drive from restaurants, the Pickle Barrel (bar/club), and (of course) Killington ski resort. Highly recommend!

Great vacation house for a large group!

We had 5 families stay in this house and there was plenty of room for everyone! We had 10 adults and 11 kids. The bedrooms are small, but the living areas are large with plenty of seating for everyone. There are 2 large refrigerators for tons of food. The hot tub was fun, and the the driveway was maintained well throughout our snowy vacation. The Owner, Jan, was very attentive and helped with any issues we had, which was very few. He even came and shoveled our walkway every day! The location was great, central to Killington Ski Resort, Pico and several restaurants. I'd say the only negative was the small bedrooms. It's not a luxury rental, but it has everything you need, plus some. Great Vacation House!

Awesome experience!

This was the first time we stayed at HideAwayChalet for our summer vacation. The unit was excellent for large as well as small family vacationing. Beautiful home equipped with very thought out facilities. Very conveniently located to access all major attractions. All my team members were very happy and had a wonderful time. Easy booking, convenient location, beautiful property!

Jan was so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire rental process! Everything was done in a very professional and timely manner. I coordinated a group of 24 obstacle racers to stay at the house for the Spartan Race at Killington Mountain. This was our second year at the Hideaway. Beautiful home, plenty of room, so close to the mountain. Everything went very smoothly (both years!) and I am grateful to have found such a great property with a great owner! Thanks, Jan!

Hideaway Chalet - Great Place for Family and Friends

This was my second year at the Hideaway. We had 24 people staying there as we ran the Spartan Beast Race. As we arrived there, the place was clean. Each room had its own linens and towels and was laid out well with bedrooms on all three floors. There are 5 bathrooms and multiple showers. The place has a big television, two full kitchens, a hot tub, a nice deck off of the second floor and the surroundings are beautiful. I can not say a bad word about the place. It is a few miles from Killington and a short drive away from any food and shopping that you may need while you are up there. The kitchens come supplied (except for food) and we did all of our own cooking up there. The owner Jan was a phone call away (or an email) and the place was perfect for us. We plan on being there again and again!

We stayed here for a girls getaway weekend and had a great time. There was plenty of room to accommodate all 16 of us- sleeping and around the table for dinner. The owner was very helpful. If you have a large group I would definitely recommend staying here.

This property was perfect for my group of 20 young professionals. We really enjoyed the house and will definitely come back. I really wish we knew about the property earlier, as my friends and I visit Vermont often. We rented the entire house for the weekend and there was plenty space. With three living areas and plenty of bedrooms, we never felt cramped and everyone was very comfortable with sleeping arrangements. There was definitely space for more if needed. I was told the futons were very comfortable. The description and pictures are very accurate regarding the house, the layout and amentities, from the 55" HDTV, hot tub, the new gas grill on the deck, and the ski racks and boot storage by the entrance was a plus. The location of the house is great. It's a 5 min drive to Ramshead Base, even closer to the restaurants and shops but at the same time, it's secluded and very private with no neighbors. It has a private entrace with it's own traffic light and plenty of parking. Most importantly, Jan, the owner was very responsive and accommodating. He was very helpful and went above and beyond for our stay. Looking forward to future stays here.

Location, location, location on access road to best skiing, close to it all yet secluded and private. The Hideaway Chalet is warm and welcoming with incredible room for all. It is a very unique vacation rental in that it has everything on your checklist, if you're looking for a large property for multiple families or big groups. There's enough bedrooms and bathrooms, plenty of dining and living space and the luxury of accommodating a huge groups in one common area or spacious private living rooms in each apartment level, if you prefer a little privacy. It's in the heart of Killington, so you're not sacrificing location for quality. The house is well maintained and we are meticulous about cleaning and keeping it in great shape! When you walk in, you're pleasantly surprised that the pictures didn't do it justice. It's just a great house with something unique to offer.
