Nora's Yosemite retreat is the perfect vacation spot for enjoying your special visit to one of the greatest parks in the world, Yosemite. Nora's Yosemite retreat is one of two rental's on the property. Long term renter in studio apartment down stairs. Separate entrance and parking.

Nestled in the Sierra National Forest, you can choose from two of Yosemite's most popular entrances. Your retreat is surrounded by large pine and oak trees, some over 50 years old. Our comfortable rustic great room features a classic wood burning stove, comfortable seating, and an open floor plan to the dining area and kitchen. Despite the rustic charm, you can stay totally up-to-date with Wi-Fi, Or, curl up in front of the fire with a good book or a game with family and friends while dinner is cooking. Enjoy the game or race with our satellite flat screen TV, or enjoy our extensive DVD collection for a fun movie night. The dining table seats six between the kitchen and living area. And, the newly-remodeled kitchen features a gas range and everything you need to create a lovely vacation meal, including dish washer for easy clean up. Our full size washer and dryer is in a separate room just off the kitchen and easily accessible.

Adjoining the great room there is a large bedroom with a queen size bed and a full bath. In the living room is a queen size sofa sleeper. Half bath available.
Our great room has two sliding glass doors, one opening up to your outdoor deck with bar-b-q and one that opens to your private all weather enclosed deck with table and chairs for dining, enjoying a glass of wine, playing games or planning your next Yosemite adventure.

Cozy Cabin

We thoroughly enjoyed the mountain cabin! After a long day of hiking, it was great to come back to a warm and welcoming cabin. It had everything we needed, and it was convenient to Mariposa. We found several nice restaurants in town, and the grocery store was great. Thank you so much for an enjoyable stay!

Beyond expectations

Nora and Frank are underselling this place! They had everything we needed to have a wonderful stay, filled with family time. Although it is a bit of a drive to Yosemite, we were fine to max out our days because this house had all we needed to cook a good meal and relax at night. Perfectly comfortable. Hosts were super helpful before the trip and when we got there. Truly, they far surpassed our expectations. We are truly grateful. This place made our big trip so much easier.

Nice place to stay for a Yosemite vacation

The house is quiet and clean and has a large kitchen which was perfect for preparing our meals before and after our day hikes in Yosemite. The bed is comfortable and the neighborhood is secluded. It took us about an hour to get to the park entrance but you’d be hard pressed to find a closer VRBO of this quality. Would recommend!

Perfect retreat

It is a perfect retreat but a bit far out some winding roads but then again all roads here are winding! After a long day, it seemed to take forever to find but the house was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts were available to answer our 1 question and all was good! We enjoyed our time here!

Yosemite Getaway

I was traveling with my mom and aunt as a small family vacation. For the three of us this was a perfect place to stay and relax after spending all day in Yosemite. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Nora was great with communicating and also providing some helpful tips.

Home away from home

This was an awesome place to stay. We felt like we were staying at a family member’s house. Host was great! It is very remote though, no cell signal, but has wifi. Takes about an hour to get to Yosemite, lots of winding roads, but the drive is very scenic. We would definitely stay here again if we are every back at Yosemite

Cozy Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at Nora’s Yosemite retreat immensely. The cabin is well stocked with amenities, pillows, blankets, necessities and movies! We came to spend time at the park but we’re unable to due to crowds and insufficient parking, so having this cabin was a nice treat. We were close to Yosemite’s south entrance, Bass Lake and Oakhurst. We also discovered a charming little coffee roaster down the road as well. Definitely recommend this cabin no matter what your plans are or become.

Wonderful, very well equipped property, spacious, comfortable, cosy, and in a great location in the woods, although somewhat further from Yosemite park than we had anticipated. Would highly recommend, though, if the distance is taken into account.

This was a very quiet peaceful place as a hub for our visit to Yosemite. Very homey feel and owners were just a phone call away. Really nice to have the deck for star gazing and the screened in porch during a light rain.

Very quite, peaceful, and down-to-earth

This is a nice sized "cabin" in a quiet neighborhood. The way the house is situated makes it seem secluded. I think it was great for the price point and we would stay there again. The hosts are very nice. Please note, it is a windy, long drive from Mariposa to get to this cabin. It is about 45 minutes to Yosemite. There is nothing pretentious or luxurious about it. It was perfect for us and I wish I owned it.
