This unique 18th-century windmill, set alone among vineyards with panoramic views, offers four floors of charming accommodation. The original mill includes: a below-ground shower room with Maldives mosaic tiles and an opening window; a ground-floor bespoke oak kitchen with an American fridge (filtered water & ice), gas cooker, microwave, and oven; a first-floor twin bedroom with inset washbasin and tiny oak wardrobe; and a top “sail room” lounge/office with leather settee, satellite TV, and breathtaking views. Winding stone steps and working trapdoors connect the floors.
It’s not suitable for the mobility-restricted or very young children, but ideal for couples, honeymooners, or small families who can manage steps.
The stylish extension features a garden room with bi-folding doors and superb views, leading to a terrace with a large electric awning. There’s a shower room and, above, a romantic double bedroom with king-size bed, drop-down stairway, and a star-gazing Velux window.
Outdoors you’ll find a private kidney-shaped pool with jacuzzi steps, a 6–7-person hot tub, BBQ, and firepit. The converted garden shed serves as a tiled laundry room. A bed-settee and folding chair bed are also available for guests who prefer to stay on the ground floor.

About the host

I am retired & have lived in France for 30 years, 25 of which I have rented out my properties.
Why they chose this property
A simply beautiful little building in a simply beautiful location. A real'wow!' factor inside & out ...memorably unique. A view to die for from the settee in the new extension as well as the panoramic views from the sail room. Extremely relaxing & de-stressing.. Hard to find a better location than this.....and even better in the flesh.
What makes this property unique
Quirky building; wonderful architect desined extension in keeping with the original windmill & designer set pool. Quirky inside, too, marrying modern with historic. Panoramic views; very quiet, local beauty spot location yet only 3 mins drive to the nearest tiny bastide town for all amenities. It stands completely alone amidst the vines...not at the bottom of the owner's garden or next to it. Just a marvellous little property on all counts.
