Las Negras is a charming fishing village that’s located in the Natural Maritime Park of Cabo de Geta, one of the last parts of the Mediterranean coast that remains untouched.

The village faces a remarkable hill, the Cerro Negro, which has inspired many writers and artists due to its spectacular geology.

The pretty clear water coves and the cliffs at Las Negras attract diving and sea aficionados.

A few kilometres away from the Casa del Olivo, you will discover El Cortijo de El Fraile that inspired Federico García Lorca’s Blood Wedding and less than two hours car drive away, you may equally visit several wonders of Andalusia in the Granada province: the Calahorra château, Guadix and its troglodyte houses, Las Alpujarras with its beautiful white villages, the heights of the Sierra Nevada and also the town of Granada with its Albaicin Arab quarters and the extraordinary palace and gardens of the Alhambra.

Fabulous spacious villa with a lovely pool and amazing views. Very comfy large bed. Great communication with Angel. Steep 1 mile walk back to the villa from the town. Unsuitable for toddlers or elderly as there’s a lot of steps in the villa and low walls around the terraces. Good mix of restaurants in town. Fantastic rest after 4 busy days in Cordoba & Granada.

Lovely Villa

We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at the villa. The pool is large and very warm, the surroundings are quiet and peaceful and the view speaks for itself.Despite the very warm weather during our stay, due to the sea breeze and the adjustable window shutters it was possible to keep the inside of the villa reasonably cool, even without the use of the air conditioning.Angel was a superb and very helpful host, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Casa Olivo to anyone.

We loved our stay. The house is very stylish and comfortable. It’s a walk down and then back up from the village but it means you earn your dinner. This was our first visit to this area and it was great. A car enables you to explore the many little villages and coves, and it’s good to get out on the water, as well as in it. Angel was fab, really kind and helpful. He has built something rather wonderful. It’s a little maze of a house but that adds to its charm, as does the way he’s designed the interiors. We had a truly memorable time and would love to come back.

Andalusian Dream

The stay in Angel's and Dominique's beautiful and tasteful villa was simply amazing. The welcome was warm and kind, and the house was filled with an atmosphere of home. The beaches are what dreams are made of and the culture and people alive and glowing with joy and lust for life. We loved it here and would recommend it to anyone. A dream in Andalucia.

This house is spectacular and the view is incredible. Beautifully decorated and, the art on the walls is thoughtfully curated . Comfortable, clean and yet not overdone to the place where relaxation is hard to find. The gardens and variety of plants are truly amazing. Completely private; the swimming pool is a dream. I will be back.

A beautiful, spacious Spanish home overlooking the sea and village.

We all loved our stay - 5 adults - it was spacious with different terraces and two garden areas - the hammock was a popular spot… as of course was the gorgeous pool. From the stunning sunrises to sunset the view and light - kept changing .. it was easy to while away time just looking. It’s a beautiful home - not a cold clinical villa. Thank you to Angel for letting us experience it. We also enjoyed discovering the area - walking and by car - beaches are very unspoilt - we hope to return to discover more.

Wonderful Sunny June Week

Angel’s house is spacious, laid out over several levels on a hill side facing the sea. The pool, gardens and sculptural potted plants make for a beautiful and relaxing setting. We liked that the house felt like a well cared for home. We’d walk into Las Negras, or drive to Agua Amarga, or, one day, walked the coastal path to San Pedro beach & took a boat back - loved that. Thanks to Angel for all his helpful communication throughout our stay.

Superb!

A lovely villa overlooking a small Spanish town and Mediterranean Sea - like waking up in a dream every morning - especially watching the sunrise over the sea. Infinity pool was a little cool in October, but refreshing after taking any of the numerous hikes in the area (don’t miss San Pedro Castle and Cove!). So many things to enjoy on the property, including tons of outdoor patio options (all with views of the sea), a gorgeous courtyard, exquisite garden and roomy, comfortable, stylish interior. Easy to venture out on day trips and very good local places to buy groceries and eat out. Angel was super responsive and helpful. Couldn’t ask for more!

Perfect!

We had the best time staying at Angel’s property. He was fantastic before we arrived, always answering our questions very quickly and maintaining smooth communication throughout. The property itself is just lovely - clean, and absolutely anything you might need is provided. The views from the property are breathtaking, both during the day and at night. Las Negras itself is a very small town, but there are still a fee bars and restaurants to choose from. We went for a few day trips during our stay, including the beach at Cala Los Mendrugos, the wild-west experience at Fort Bravo, a trip to Mojacar, and our absolute favourite was the Cabo de Gata kayak tour (this was amazing!). All in all, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable week, and would certainly recommend Angel’s property to anyone who is considering exploring this part of Spain.

Amazing house

This house is amazing, the pool was big and really nice, lots of outdoor seating and different areas so you always got the sun. View of the town was spectacular particularly the sunrise over the sea. Bedrooms spacious with lots of storage. Kitchen was well equipped. Everything clean and working. Our son loved seeing the chameleon and tortoises in the garden. The area is really beautiful with lots of nice beaches. Angel was a great host and very helpful. In terms of the layout, it's significantly larger than a typical four bedroom villa, with several additional living areas: 1x master bedroom, with an ante room with table and chairs and en suite 1x large bedroom with two single and en suite 1x separate mini apartment with two singles and en suite, and large living room with piano, separated by small courtyard 1x smaller bedroom with two singles (but no ensuite) Kitchen and large shared living room.

A totally fabulous place to stay

I cannot recommend this beautiful villa enough ! We booked it for a family holiday with grown up children. The location is amazing and has the most wonderful views of Las Negras and the coastline. It was worth getting up early in the mornings to enjoy the light changing and experience the tranquility. Every aspect of the property has been thoughtfully and tastefully considered and is very well maintained and equipped . The flexible layout is excellent and provided several terraces and seating areas where we could be together or enjoy some peace reading separately- so it was great for us as a family. We all loved the pool and even though it was the end of September the water remained warm enough to use until late afternoon. Angel and Dominique were perfect hosts. They were not at all intrusive but were easy to contact and came straight round when we had a problem. We couldn’t work out how to turn the oven off! If you want to recharge your batteries and escape from the everyday craziness this is the place to come.
