If you want an idyllic stay in the Spanish countryside, this is your place. We were a family of 17 and fit perfectly. The caretakers, Carmen and Jose were so kind and helpful in every way. Carmen prepared fabulous meals for us our entire stay. The location is great for visiting Seville and cordoba. The road to the villa isn’t paved, but it’s a smooth ride. We would definitely return if in the area again. I can’t say enough good things about Carmen, and the solitude of this historic house set among pistachio trees.
We were in Andalucia for a wedding. Our requirements were nine bedrooms as many bathrooms as possible, and a little bit of space. This is more than filled out expectations. Our hosts were very attentive and very helpful. The location is somewhat removed from both Carmona and Sevilla, but not to remote. We would definitely recommend for large groups and families who need a break from the bustle of the city.
This is the perfect place for a family reunion. We had 22 guests over the course of the month.
The Hacienda, built on an old Roman ruin, is well furnished and has an exceptional pool.
Carmen and Jose are splendid hosts. They were helpful in every way.
If anyone is interested in staying at the villa I will be happy to enthusiastically answer any questions - in English only please.
We have loved our stay in this beautiful place. So comfortable with everything you need for the perfect holiday. Our family appreciated the air con (very hot ) and swimming pool.
Carmona was fascinating and such an interesting place to visit.
Would have been good to know a bit more about the history of the house. Communication with Jose and carmen was a challenge but they were lovely and so kind. Would love to return one day. Maybe a visitors book with recommendations would be good too.
The reviews and pictures do not do this villa justice, we stayed for 3 nights as a group of 11 and it was incredible. The place is huge it’s practically palatial with a great swimming pool, amazing views, so many well equipped bedrooms and living spaces and beautifully decorated. The outside seating area is gorgeous and the crockery is in abundance we could cook for all of us every night. The villa is really cool and well air conditioned and so many bathrooms for maximum comfort. There are two super friendly and sweet dogs that made our stay even better and Jose and his family were super helpful and on hand. Communication was great throughout. There is a long dirt road down to the property but nothing a car can’t handle and we even managed to get Ubers to pick us up and drop us off to the airport and into seville which was great. I cannot recommend this villa enough!!

Thank you for your kind and generous words. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay at El Triguero and we hope to see you back again.
Our travel group of women stayed at the Lovely El Tigero, the accommodations were just as advertised and the quaintness of this older country house was unique and beautiful. We cooked and ate outside al fresco. We enjoyed visiting both Seville and Carmona. The housekeepers were gracious and very helpful. Supplies can be purchased just 10 minutes up the road at a very nice Lidl, and also a nearby Aldi.
The owner was good at corresponding with me and keeping me updated.
We LOVED staying here and highly recommend booking this property for a great ( non-hotel) experience. You will need a car rental to get around.
what a great villa. the sheer size of the villa is not captured in the pictures and description. there is so much character in the villa, all the rooms work really well with every room haveing an en suite and air con, it was very hot so needed, the outside space was beautiful really well looked after. the onsite team were brilliant always on hand to fix any problems that arose. the only down side was the 1.4km dirt track that is a little bumpy. could do with a little work, its a good distance from seville and recommended a few visits,
overall a brilliant villa and great value visits, visits brilliant value for money
We recently returned from 10 days at El Triguero. The photos do not do this property justice. It is beautiful and secluded and the perfect place for extended families to relax. Jose and Carmen were so helpful and always on site if needed (supported with English translation by their lovely son) driveway to property is fairly long and bumpy (approx 8 minutes from coded gate to property. My advice is to get a substantial car hire. We had a mini bus and it dealt with ease.i have never felt compelled to leave a review before but cannot express how amazing this place is. Thank you for the best 10 days! the two dogs that live on the land are an added bonus, super friendly and do well behaved. Like home from home!
This place is huge. You’ll get lost! We had 8 people and I couldn’t tell you where half of them slept. We did our best to gather in every part of the house and property and still missed some areas. Pros: HUGE, beautiful property, Carmen and Jose, scenery, amenities, and wanting for nothing. Cons (more like quirks): understanding the heat (I believe the units are controlled by light switches, but never confirmed with C & J), hot water (some bathrooms have a separate control and others just take time to warm up), the dirt road in is bumpy, long and your GPS will tell you to pass the entrance and go through other properties to get there…read the host’s directions-don’t rely on Google or Apple Maps).
The rooms were plenty big, each person or couple having their own bathroom was wonderful, and seeing all the lemon, pomegranate, orange and olive trees were magical. We may have enjoyed a lemon or two. ;) Carmen gave us a tour and carried our bags for us (!!). We were able to do our laundry while playing ping pong. Our group was in Spain for a wedding and we were able to iron our fancy clothes before heading out.
It’s the perfect accommodation for large groups and the price can’t be beat!

Beautiful Historical Country house in Spain with beautiful gardens and character.
We were greeted upon arrival by Carmon who lives on the property with her husband Jose and their children. The home has a lot of character and history which we wish their would have been more information for the guests available in the home. Upon arrival the pool was very green and needed to be drained. Carmon made note that Jose would drain it and put clean water in it. This was done the following day but the water was so cold we were unable to use the pool. We also had issues with the hot water we only had hot water two of the seven days that we stayed at the home. This was very disappointing we talked to Jose about it a couple of times nothing was done until I emailed the property manager. The property itself is gorgeous I loved the historical charm. The countryside with all of the olive trees, orange trees, and lemon trees. and gardens were my favorite. The kitchen was well equiped with amenities. This home would be great for families and a great location for reunions or weddings. Carmen & Jose were very nice we were fortunate that our daughter was a study abroad student at the University of Seville and is majoring in Spanish. Without her it was very difficult to translate to them. We enjoyed our stay at El Triguero.

First of all I’m very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at El Triguero, but sad to learn about your problems, especially as these were due to a misunderstanding. The onsite house keepers are available 24 hours - and I myself by telephone and mail. We always try to do our best to solve any possible problem and make our guests feel at home.
The housekeepers Carmen and José have assured me that they clearly explained to you upon arrival that if you’d have any problem with the hot water there are three bathrooms supplied by an electric independent boiler, and as well that if you would have any issue they were available 24 hours as they live next door. They thought that everything was OK and that the you were happy. The first time I was contacted by you (via the Homeaway page) was by a message sent at 11.30 am Wednesday 20 March and the very same day the boiler was mended. This was the first notice I received about this problem.
Regarding the pool - it is open (cleaned etc) from Easter until the beginning of December. You stayed in March which is officially considered a winter month in Spain. - However as you wished to use it José, the house keeper cleaned it immediately.
As it clearly says on the website - the pool is not heated.

Truly rustic stay with stunning views
The gate to the property is hidden from the main road. It's opposite an industrial park.
The private drive to the property is a dirt track and will take 10 minutes. It is only suitable for 4 x 4 cars and confident drivers. However, you can see plenty of rabbits and the odd owl along the way.
The villa is looked after by a lovely couple, with a son who can talk a bit of English. They don't. They are on site and will help you navigate the use of the villa. They also tend their vegetable garden with love and care.
There are chickens (who are quiet) and two friendly dogs who live outside.
The swimming pool was freezing and green but it was November and it rained for nearly five solid days. The accommodation is good, linen and towels are clean. We loved the very quirky touches but it won't be to everyone's taste. This house is loved by the family that own it including peeling paint, cobwebs and the odd friendly mouse. We absolutely loved this house and it worked for our collective family of grandparents, grandchildren and sisters. Outside there is a badminton net and table tennis table (although bring your own balls). The trees have lemons, pomegranates and pistachios. The views of vineyards and further fruit trees are uninterrupted and its stunning. We went to Carmona - not alot to it, Cordoba was stunning and the jewel was Seville. What a beautiful city. The metro was really easy to use and very close to the public car park.
Thank you for lending us your home.
A group of 14 had a fantastic stay at the country house. Spacious communal areas. Carmen the housekeeper is a brilliant cook so we ended up asking her to cook for 6 of our 7 nights! Her repertoire is wide, varied and healthy and better than the local restaurants. We would consider going back just for her cooking. All the bedrooms had great character and lovely bedding. We'd thoroughly recommend this house for a large group.

A recommander.
