Welcome to the Swan Float Inn! Named after the HUGE white swan that welcomes you into town off of US-31.
******Exterior House Update 2025*****
This is the perfect up north getaway retreat in the desirable west side neighborhood of the Village of Elk Rapids. Minutes to everything Elk Rapids has to offer - walk a block and a half to the beach on Lake Michigan or 4 blocks to the adorable downtown shops of Elk Rapids – you are steps away from it all. We rent Sunday to Sunday during the summer months and two night minimum during the off season. ****Air Conditioning added Spring 2022!*******
The house offers three bedrooms and a full bath on the upper level, large family room, kitchen, eating area, half bath and deck on the main level, and two rooms and a half bath in the lower level with laundry facilities. This weekly rental includes Wi-Fi, SMART TV with DVD player, two Paddlebouy paddle boards for use at the beach, gas grill near the large deck . A 4th bedroom is located in the walkout basement with a queen bed and a pull out couch.

This house is available to rent on a weekly basis Sunday to Sunday from June 12 to Labor Day weekend.

Based on recent events, be reassured that our cleaning crew is following the CDC Recommendations for cleaning the property. Because extra precautions are being taken, we have modified our Check in/out times. Check in will be after 6 pm to allow our cleaning crew extra time to do a thorough cleaning. Check out will stay at 10 am.

Fun Fact: The 15 foot swan was used as a float to carry Miss. Elk Rapids in the Cherry Festival and Harbor Day parade back in 1966.

Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Pet Addendum and paid fee MUST be completed and returned to me 15 days BEFORE your stay. If your pet sheds, please run the vacuum before you leave.
Please follow the check out list. Strip the beds, gather used towels and begin a load of laundry before you leave.
Parties and Gatherings of any size are not allowed based on new Elk Rapids Township Rules and Regulations on Short Term Rentals.

What an awesome stay! The Swan Float Inn was a beautiful and spacious home for our family. ‘Such a great location, with so many really nice amenities. The new upgrades to the decking and the house are impressive! The host is so generous and helpful, as well. We can’t wait for our next visit!

Terrific location for a stay in Elk Rapids! Downtown Elk Rapids is just a few blocks away; the beach and the play area even closer. Just walk to everything! Lots of room in this home for a large family group.

We walked to the beach and tennis courts or to town shopping or to Miller’s Park or to Riverwalk. Everywhere was convenient! The water around Elk Rapids is indescribably beautiful!

Amazing location

Loved this adorable house walking distance to downtown Elk Rapids and a block from the beach. The house was perfect for our mixed group of adults and kids in TC for a softball tournament. Only downside was that there was only 1 shower. Other than that, it could not have been more perfect. Loved it and would definitely stay here again.

Amazing property and location

This is the perfect place for a family vacation. It was very short walking distance to the beach and town. My kids LOVED all the bikes And lawn toys in the garage. There were more than enough beds for our large family and the living areas were perfect. We also went to Petoskey and Traverse cities on the cooler days and the drive was nothing. In short, it’s the perfect house, in the perfect location, for beach days and exploring the best of the area. We hope to stay again!

Great location

Very nice home. Really clean and great location. Beach was a block away and had so much to do. Downtown was easy to walk to and had a lot of cool shops. The property manager was very responsive. The only thing we didn’t like was the late check-in. By the time you check in at 6 p.m. and unpack it is too late to do much.

Loved this house for our family. We had 5 adults ad three kids under 5. The extra refrigerator in the garage was an appreciated surprise for drinks! We also loved the wagon that fit two toddlers for heading to the beach an easy block away. We loved hanging out on the new front porch and deck. We also liked the new flooring- fresh carpet that cleans easily and vinyl wood-like flooring in bedrooms. Make sure to bring beach towels, but that isn’t a big deal. I truly hope the house is available next year.

Clean, well stocked, very comfortable for active family ages 7 to 72. Park the car and walk or bike to beach, restaurants, shopping, movies, harbor, library and bars. Very restful, something for everyone.

Everyone enjoyed their time swimming and all the yard toys provided. The house was just as listed and the extra refrigerator in the garage came in very handy. My grandsons really enjoyed the paddle boards as they kept telling us it was their favorite thing to do and also being able to walk to the beach.

Great location, close to twin and beach. Awesome park with tennis and activities, perfect for morning walks. House well stocked, no central air so it gets warm in the rooms with window units.
