Super experience during difficult times!
This is our second stay at Janette's wonderful property. It is exactly as described and has everything you'd need. Unfortunately this time the area experienced unexpected flooding and the late overflowed its banks and came really close to getting in the cottage. We were in constant touch with Janette and she did everything thing she could to ensure our trip was still an enjoyable time. We'll be back next year!

Fabulous family reunion
We rented Jeannette’s amazing cottage for a week to reunite with our son and his wife who live in the Halifax area. Our other son and his wife who are also from Ontario but live 3 hours away joined us as well. It’s was four years since we were together and we had a blast!! The cottage far exceeded our expectations, it was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a wonderful family visit. We enjoyed meals on the deck, swimming, playing games, sightseeing and just relaxing on the dock getting reacquainted. Jeannette was very accommodating to make sure we had everything we needed for a memorable family vacation. We are hoping to revisit next year. We would hands down definitely recommend this cottage on the lake.

About the host

I have lived in many provinces across Canada and visited many countries and loved them all. When I arrived in Nova Scotia about 30 ago I had a very intense feeling that I really belonged here. Coming from Norwegian roots I can relate well to this maritime province.

Why they chose this property

I have enjoyed living in this home for almost 20 years. From the moment I stepped into the yard I knew that this place was special. It exudes a calming and peaceful vibe.
This is meant to be shared. I want everyone to experience this energy and the joy that comes with being here.

What makes this property unique

I feel very privileged to live so close to the ocean and yet live right On this beautiful peaceful lake playground. In July the water is a wonderful temperature that I could swim and float for hours. In February the lake freezes (usually) and skating or skiing is great. The large landscaped yard is perfect for a game of crochet or volleyball. This place has it all and yet is so close to everything else Nova Scotia has to offer.
