A perfect peaceful hide away.

Casa Almendra is a sweet traditional style property set in a tranquil, unspoilt area. The garden is delightful, surrounded by stunning mountains, with outside eating and star gazing areas, and the pool was always warm! SantaLucia is a pretty village and there are some good walks nearby. The drive through the mountains is challenging, but the views are worth the effort! Gracias Pedro and Eloisa for your hospitality and the welcome ‘surprisess’.

Very nice house close to Santa Lucia

We had a wonderful week before christmas at the house together with our 3 children. The house was nice, clean and is locates perfectly in the middle of nature but close to Santa Lucia and San Bartolome. It's a great starting point for walks in the mountains and some trips around Gran Canaria. The garden is great, has lots of space and a swimming pool. Pedro and his wife were very kind and helpful and everything was perfectly arranged. We would certainly recommend the place!

Heel fijn klein huisje met privé zwembad. Heerlijk als je van rust en veel privacy houdt. De eigenaar Pedro was erg behulpzaam en goed bereikbaar en er stond een uitgebreid welkomspakket met veel lekkernijen klaar. Erg attent!

Voor wie rust zoekt en de drukte van de kustlijn wil ontlopen.

Leuke vakantiewoning met zwembad. Heel rustige ligging in de heuvels op een half uur van de kust. Voor wie van rust en wandelen houdt is dit het ideale verblijf. Heel vriendelijk onthaal van de lieve eigenaars.

Lovely location but.....

The property is situated in a very 'quiet' spot and is ideal for those wanting to be on their own. However, the local 'hen(s)' and local village (which you cannot see below) dogs prefer the not too quiet lifestyle and this can become annoying sometimes, especially at night! Otherwise, San Bartolome and Saint Lucia provide more than adequate attractions and restaurants. The views are spectacular.

Wandelen rondom San Bartolome de Tirajana

Mooi huis in een prachtige en rustige omgeving met veel wandelfaciliteiten en ook via korte verplaatsingen met huurwagen. Het huis heeft alle voorzieningen, mooi zwembad, terras in schaduw, appelsien- en citroenbomen. Eén klein minpunt, er mag wat meer licht in de woonkamer. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar, antwoord correct en snel. Dank voor de rode wijn en het vele fruit als welkomstgeschenk. Een aanrader voor wandelaars.

Excellent and beautiful location for a relaxing holiday

We had a lovely two week holiday at Pedro's villa in October. It was exactly as we expected it to be from the photos and description. Pedro was a great host: very friendly and helpful, and although he didn't speak any English, we managed to communicate sufficiently with our limited Spanish and Google Translate. The only thing I would say is that although we knew there wasn't going to be an oven in the kitchen, we didn't realise how much we would miss one. We ate almost exclusively at the villa, so it did limit our culinary repertoire. There is a bbq in the garden, but this doesn't really replace an oven in my opinion. The location was one of the major benefits of the villa. It is up in the mountains along unbelievably windy roads, but not too far from the airport and Maspalomas (c.45 minutes). If you enjoy walking, as we do, there are some really beautiful walks close by, and the walking for us was a highlight of our holiday. Also, the views from the villa are beautiful, and it is a lovely place to relax by the pool. Overall, I would recommend this villa, but be aware of the lack of an oven! Thank you Pedro for a lovely holiday.

Traum-Urlaub

Lieber Pedro, das Haus hält was es verspricht .Das Haus liegt mit ein paar anderen mitten in den Bergen von Gran Canaria. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und haben uns herzlich begrüßt. Das Haus war sauber und schön. Putzutensilien und Handtücher waren vorhanden. Die Küche ist wie beschrieben und Geschirr für 4 Personen ausreichend vorhanden. Im nächsten Ort ist ein kleiner Supermarkt, in dem man kleinere Besorgungen machen kann. Wir haben die 14 Tage sehr genossen. Nächstes Jahr gerne wieder Grüße Michael, Sabine und Sarah

Schlechte Ausstattung und ziemlich schmuddelig

Wir hatten im Vorfeld bereits unsere Uhrzeit des Eintreffens mitgeteilt und mussten fast 2 Stunden am vereinbarten Treffpunkt warten. Die Küche ist sehr schlecht ausgestattet und etliche Utensilien waren sehr verschmutzt. Keine Sektgläser, nur 2 Weingläser, Wassergläser in sehr schlechtem Zustand. Im Haus riecht es etwas muffelig und die Kleidung im Schrank nimmt ebenfalls schnell einen modrigen Geruch an. Der Grillrost war ebenfalls völlig verdreckt. Zum Kochen ist die Küche völlig ungeeignet, da es an dem dafür nötigen Inhalt fehlt. Die Betten und Kissen haben eklig gerochen und bedürften einer dringenden Reinigung. Der Verwalter spricht, entgegen den Angaben, kein Wort englisch sondern nur spanisch. Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist mega eng und wir haben unseren Mietwagen beschädigt. Der Außenbereich ist recht nett, wenn auch alles andere als sauber. Die Lage für Ausflüge in die Berge ist sehr gut. Wir haben am ersten Tag zunächst Besteck, Wein- und Wassergläser, sowie Kaffeetassen gekauft, da das zur Verfügung gestellte Material entweder nicht vorhanden war oder in so schlechtem Zustand, dass wir es nicht benutzen wollten. Fazit: dieses Haus NIE wieder

Hola Señor Jürgen. sentimos mucho el retraso en la llegada .tuve problemas por la vía que circulaba por un accidente en esa vía. me gustaría saber que utensilios falta en la cocina para reponer. ya le pase nota ala camarera de las quejas de sus quejas para solventarlas. se a comprobados la casa no se a encontrado nada de húmeda. me lo hubiera comentado cuando le pregunte si todo estaba bien y me respondió que si .le hubiera solventado el problema. saludos pedro.

Well equipped comfortable property in a stunning location

Although quite a drive from the coastal road and airport, you are not disappointed. Such a quiet and peaceful environment awaits. The house and garden is very spacious and has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Pedro was most welcoming and friendly and was only a phone call away if you should ever need anything. Fijne woning in prachtige omgeving.

Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in dit ruime huis. Heerlijke plekjes om buiten te eten. Het zwembad was fijn om ff af te koelen. S avonds de airco aangehad omdat we een paar benauwde avonden hadden. Pedro is ontzettend gastvrij en makkelijk. We hadden geluk: de druiven waren rijp en heerlijk zoet, we mochten ze volop plukken en we kregen nog een lading mee toen we naar huis gingen. Ook de limoenen en citroenen mochten geplukt worden. In St Bartolome zit een fijn bakkertje met bruine broodjes. Als ik iets om te zeuren wil hebben dan waren kommetjes voor soep of joghurt handig geweest. Verder alles dik in orde! Sehr schönes und ruhiges Ferienhaus.

Das Ferienhaus ist ca. 45 min. vom Flughafen und ca. 1 Std. von Maspalomas entfernt. Durch eine sehr kurvenreiche Strecke erreicht man dieses kleine Ferienhaus. Ca. 15 min. entfernt sind 2 kleine Dörfer mit Supermarkt und Restaurants. Wir wurden sehr nett von Pedro und seiner Frau begrüßt mit Wein, Getränken, Obst und Gebäck. Das Ferienhaus ist sehr sauber, Badetücher sind reichlich vorhanden, der Pool ist angenehm und auf dem Grundstück gibt es einige schattige Plätze zum Zurückziehen von der Sonne. Wir können das Ferienhaus sehr weiterempfehlen für Ruhesuchende und Wanderer. Etwas nervig sind die Hundekonzerte abends und der Hahn, der wahrscheinlich niemals ruhig ist. Ein kleiner Hinweis an Pedro. Das Geschirr müsste etwas erweitert werden, z. B. mit Schüsseln und Kaffeetassen.

Très jolie petite maison idéale pour 4 adultes. Jolie terrasse. Jolie piscine. Beaux orangers et très bonnes oranges !!! Bien située pour les départs de randonnées. Pas loin des commerces. Schönes Ferienhaus in den Bergen

Das Haus liegt ungefähr in der Mitte zwischen den Dörfern Santa Lucia und San Bartolomé. Ein Auto ist zwingend erforderlich, wobei kein zu großer Mietwagen gebucht werden sollte, weil die Stichstraße zum Haus in einer engen Kurve zwischen zwei Häusern hindurchführt. Das Ferienhaus selbst ist sehr ruhig gelegen, weil die vorgelagerte Häuserzeile an der Hauptstraße den ohnehin mäßigen Straßenlärm abhält. Das Haus ist sehr sauber; die Einrichtung entspricht der Beschreibung. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

Vi havde 10 dejlige dage i dette hus. Super ugenert omgivet af bjerge og ude på landet hvor der er fred og ro ( lige bortset fra larmende hunde, som overalt på øen. Poolen var okay varm og blev flittigt brugt. Man kan passende parkere oppe ved indkørslen da der er meget smalt mellem husene og der kan nemt påføres skrammer på bilen hvis man ikke passer meget på. Der er ca. 2 kilomter til okay indkøbsmuligheder og flere ganske udmærkede restauranter. Der er hvad der skal være i huset men savnede dog en ovn og lidt mere service. Flink vært men kan ikke engelsk Kan anbefale stedet

Heerlijke plek

Heerlijke week gehad in San Bartolome de Tiranjana gedurende de kerstdagen. Het huis is gelegen in een rustige omgeving tussen San Barlolone en St Lucia. Het huis is schoon, goed onderhouden en biedt veel privacy. Piedro is zeer gastvrij en behulpzaam. Na een wat frisse nacht, stond er de volgende dag na een berichtje een elektrisch kacheltje voor de deur. Al met al een zeer goede ervaring, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Amazing place amazing property

Absolutely loved the stay, beautiful surroundings and scenery and the property was fantastic. Very tranquil; ideal for a relaxing holiday. Pedro was very accommodating and kind and we are looking forward to booking with him again for this place, really can't wait to go back. One tip, get a small hire car! We rented a seat Ibiza for which was great for the winding roads and narrow driveway any bigger than this it may be difficult!

Good to enjoy quiet holidays

I stayed for 8 nights and overall I am happy to recommend. However few thing to know are narrow entrance,only aircon in one room, and no oven in the kitchen. Some other inconvenient things(poor drainage and smell in bathroom), were bearable for my family. there were several fruit trees and BBQ pit in spacious garden. Take note that the location is in countryside where you can normally experience. I had 1activity/day in the island, stayed outside for 5-7hours in the beaches, waterparks, other dayout activities, etc. And the rest time, I enjoyed family time in the house, freely with long sleep, sunshine, swimming. Sometimes it smelled country-like along wind. It was also good to enjoy driving in going out to other place, beautiful and great. But kids might be car-sick if driving time is too long because of snaky road. For those who can bear a little inconvenience, I will recommend this house. Owner was very kind, so if you have any inconvenience, you could get help from him by sending email.

Casa rural hermosa con jardín agradable/Tolles, schönes Haus mit Garten in den Bergen

Somos una familia con dos hijas. Fuimos a Gran Canaria para hacer senderismo. La localización es muy buena, es tranquilo, no hay coches y disfrutamos mucho de la estancia en esta casa rural hermosa, limpia y decorada con buen gusto. La casa tiene un jardín agradable. El propietario Pedro es muy amable. Habríamos dado cinco estrellas si la cocina hubiera estado equipado mejor. Faltaba el horno para la torta de cumpleaños, la tabla de cortar, pequeños cuencos, una batidora etc. A pesar de ello nos quedamos muy satisfechos. Recomendaríamos la casa de todos modos. Sehr schönes, hübsch eingerichtetes Haus in den Bergen mit einem friedlichen Garten, ideal als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen, wenn man über einen Wagen verfügt. Angenehm ist auch, dass man den Wagen innerhalb des Grundstückes gerade vor dem Haus abstellen kann. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich. Einziger negativer Punkt: die Küche ist eher spartanisch eingerichtet (Backofen, Schneidebretter, kleine Schälchen, Mixer etc sind nicht vorhanden). Wir würden das Haus aber trotzdem wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Sehr schöner Urlaub

Wir sind zwei befreundete Paare und durften den Urlaub für 2 Wochen in diesem schönen Haus verbringen. Es war alles perfekt. Pedro und seine Frau sind sehr nette Gastgeber. Haus und Grundstück sind optimal für Urlaub jenseits vom Massentourismus. Ein Mietwagen ist natürlich erforderlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und können dieses Haus auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen!

Friendly host, excellent location, lovely pool area

Excellent location if you like to walk in the surrounding mountains. A bit far from the beach. Well equipped kitchen but no oven. Super helpful host - Only Spanish speaking. Wonderful pool area sun from early morning to sun set. Pool ok for swimming but a little bit cold. We would certainly come back.

La maison est propre et très bien située. Certes la piscine n'est pas chauffée mais cela n a pas empêché les enfants de se baigner ! Le soleil permet de se rechauffer rapidement. Il faut noter l extrême sympathie de Pedro qui a été à nos petits soins. Nous recommandons sans hésiter. Seul bémol, une vaisselle un peu juste pour cinq personnes... A bientôt Pedro ! Ana
