Great apartment

Simona was wonderful and extremely helpful. She (and her father) met me at the station in her car. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Apartment is comfortable, as described. My only suggestion is for some English instructions for the washing machine. Otherwise.......a great stay in a lovely village on the shores of Lake Como.

Good location

Good location for Varenna. Very close to everything! It was very nice to do our laundry. Thank you. The photos don't truly represent the apartment. The rooms are cluttered and the apartment looks a bit tired. I was disappointed. There are three doors with double deadbolts to unlock and then lock again, as one enters. If there was a fire, one could never get out. Please change the locks to a one-keyed deadbolt with a hand bolt on the inside. We rotated the rump-sprung mattress to make the bed a bit more comfortable. The tile floors need a good scrubbing, our feet were dirty after our shower. .

kind host sorry that you have not enjoyed the dwelling security measures useful to rule out criminal acts of theft in homes that often occurs mainly during periods of increased tourism. as regards cleaning and non-compliance of the apartment as described and shown on the website are a bit 'puzzled, as witnessed by the excellent reviews received several before you. as regards beyond the comfort of the mattress let me stress that it is very subjective, what is inconvenient for you can be comfortable for others. Witnessed by many previous reviews received previously applied the quality price ratio is adequate supply, so please allow me to wish you to find what best reflects your expectations in future holidays. Our Week in Lake Como

The property is well located near train and ferry boats, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Sunrise has no view, and note pool is offsite, with a 25 euro per day per person fee. Simone was great to work with quick to respond when we had a problem. For a great view choose Sunset!

Perfect location

This is a perfect little getaway spot. With everything you need for a short break away. The train station is very close and the lake is even closer. Every message I sent was replied to efficiently and made my trip so much easier. If I choose to come back I would definitely stay here again

Great location and owner in a charming town

The apartment is small, but exactly as pictured - good-sized bedroom and bathroom, efficient kitchen with a small loveseat at one end. Simona, whose apartment is next door, is charming, helpful and responsive to any concerns. The location is a block up from the lake, an easy walk from the ferry dock. We didn't mind the two doors that needed to be locked and unlocked. Varenna is the perfect place to stay on the lake - totally charming, great restaurants and bars and stunning views, with easy access to the other towns. We loved our week there.

Not as advertised

The photographs and information supplied for this rental accommodation are totally misleading. (Swimming pool??....well hidden). The apartment is very small and has very dated furniture, especially the bed and linens that were supplied. It doesn't face any sunrise as per its name but instead a back retaining wall of the property. Varenna is beautiful place with wonderful restaurants and Lake Como is well worth the visit, but do not spoil it with this VRBO. We have stayed in VRBO 's all over the world and this was the most disappointing. The owner will defend herself I'm sure, consider yourself warned if you do decide to choose this accommodation.

Dear guest, the swimming pool is located 100 meters the home in a beautiful location overlooking the lake which is part of a private club with swimming pool where you can access by paying a daily entry. Probably the home did not meet his expectations because it has no private parking (since you arrived in Varenna by car) and there is not lake view but this is perfectly written in the description and the home's pictures posted on the site, are real. I'm not good at defending myself, but the many positive reviews that I received on the house by other guests who decrypts the house as it is! well furnished and equipped close to all the facilities within walking distance from the station in a few minutes. Fantastic location, beautiful town

Our stay on Lake Como was wonderful and we're glad we stayed in Varenna as a jump-off to the other towns - and we're very glad we stayed at Simona's flat. The location is fantastic and Simona was very friendly and helpful.

Small apartment..good for one person.

Apartment not as it appears in pictures. The outside space is a shady, dreary corner by the stairs to the building. Apartment is very small. My husband and I have stayed in small places before but at least they were efficiently laid out. Not so here. Kitchen had very little utensils that were useful for cooking. You would think that in Italy there would be at least a pasta strainer large enough to make pasta for two people, and there would be lids for the pots. The washing machine did not work properly...the spinner did not spin so that your laundry then had to be wrung out by hand. We had to ask for toilet paper (and were given barely half a roll), and for laundry soap. However, Simona is lovely, just doesn't seem like the apartment is her priority. Saving grace is that Varenna is a magical, unspoiled place.

Dear guest, in addition to the original published photos, the house is well described in homaway site where are clearly written the square meters of living area and how many local it is composed . 1 equipped kitchen with TV / sitting area , a large bathroom , and a large bedroom with double bed and the possibility of another bed (sofa bed) and also a cot. These dimensions make it very suitable to spend a short vacation in a house undemanding well positioned with respect to any conveniences and Very cool in the summer thanks to the big secular plants arranged in the garden. I am sorry that he has not read the instructions of the washing machine is working perfectly if programmed as directed. Best regards

Great location!

This place is a great location for walking from the train station, walking to the ferry to Bellagio, walking around the cute little town! Our hostess was great and very responsive to our needs. Overall we had a good time. The only down-side is the ways the doors swing open the many locks it takes to get into the place just made getting in and out a little awkward... not enough to keep us away, but just a little awkward. We had a good time and you will too.

Comfortable flat near train station

Cozy and affordable

This flat was cozy, quiet and affordable, allowing us to enjoy a longer stay in the Varenna area. We were relying on mass transit, and the flat was within easy walking distance to the train, ferry and town center. The kitchen and loveseat/living area are tucked into one room, but the kitchen is modern and easy to work in. This was a great base for exploring the region. We would be happy to return here for a future visit, and would recommend this flat for any active guests (anyone who doesn't mind a few stairs to the entrance).

Idéal pour découvrir Varenna

Nous avons passé une semaine à Varenna. L'appartement est très bien situé, à proximité du centre ville et de l'embarcadère. Notre semaine y a été très agréable. Par contre l'appartement n'était pas très propre malgré le nettoyage compris dans le prix. Il manque un peu de vaisselle utile, par exemple un couteau d'office qui coupe... des verres à vin (un peu dommage en Italie quand même) Enfin, il n'y a pas de place de parking réservée, il arrive donc de devoir tourner le temps de trouver une place. La propriétaire est très sympathique. Le remboursement de la caution a été très rapide.

Great Location

The flat is superbly located for the Railway station and lake Como. Easy access to both. Flat is on the first floor and has a fully equiped kitchen and large double bedroom. Suited us perfectly for visiting Monza (Italian GP) and Milan, which are both within an hour by direct train service. Combine a perfect location with excellent connections and you have a lovely flat at excellent rates

Great place in great town

Had a great stay at Simona's apartment for a five-day stay in the Lake Como area. The apartment is ideally located - walking distance to the ferry, central Varenna, and the train station. It was clean, and comfortable. My only complaint was that it was not clear where we could park during our stay. I ended up parking at the train station for 10 euros/day. Varenna is a beautiful town - my favourite of all the ones we visited during our stay.

convient and comfortable

We are 2 sisters who are traveling the world in our retirement. We stayed at Sunrise House for 4 days and thoughly enjoyed ourselves. The house had everything we needed for our stay. It is close to the train station and the lake. The grocery stores were limited, but the resturants were nearby and very good. We hiked up to the castle and to several nearby towns. Varenna was a great place to visit.

Very convenient location in Varenna.

This apartment was very convenient- we could walk to the train station, boat dock, and restaurants. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The deposit was refunded quickly. The great price reflects the fact that you do not have a view of the lake, but that is to be expected. We can highly recommend it.
