Weeks break in Pepieux

We spent a week at Laurent's house in Pepieux and loved it. The blend of the old house and converted barn work very well and gave enough room of all our party. the rooms are large and all have an en-suite. The kitchen is well stocked with pans etc and the lounge dining area very comfortable. The pool is a good size and get sun all day until after 5 in summer. The village has a quiet charm a shop is 3 mins walk from the house. No baker but the shop is a depot de pain. Olonzac is 5 mins drive and has more commerce and a lively market on Tuesday. For a relaxing week by the pool or a location for the local countryside and culture we loved it.

Super séjour

Nous avons passé une semaine geniale, tout l'équipement nécessaire se trouve sur la propriété! Les chambres avec leurs salles de bains sont bien équipées. la cuisine et l'espace à vivre très agréable. Dommage que la piscine ait été un peu froide (suite à des orages, l'eau est restée fraiche) heureusemnt que les produits de la cave coopérative a coté nous ont bien réchauffés! très bonne adresse!

Our 2 week stay at Pepieux July 2017

It is a wonderful house and lovely village. A fantastic shabby chic period property, full of gorgeous features. Lots of room for extended family gatherings. Superb barn/ kitchen/ diner and living space. Super plancha / barbecue for outdoor living. Hosts were considerate bringing new glasses and deck chairs during our stay. All problems / queries responded to promptly. Emailed welcome/ instruction pack was great. Our minor niggles... Don't think advert mentioned that barn was only part renovated or that pool was not fit for diving/jumping. A picture showing the winery would be an idea too. I appreciate that the personal website shows some of these things but that is after booking. No smoke detectors. Some bedroom fans didn't work which made the nights excessively uncomfortable when temps over 30 degrees. With no ceiling lighting in the property it may be an idea to have brighter lights especially in the bedrooms which were rather dark. The lighting made reading difficult for my old eyes in the huge lounge. Some decking needed in garden areas to smarten up the look.

Parfait !

C’était parfait, nous étions 12 : 5 adultes et 7 enfants de 3 à 14 ans. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le volume intérieur comme extérieur : Espace de vie incroyable, volume sol-plafond et grandeur des pièces, Terrasse Est et Ouest selon l’heure et la chaleur, avec grande table des 2 côtés. Piscine : 11,5*5,5 mètres, impeccable pour notre nombre, Salon et salle à manger : énorme, grande table également, fraicheur de tout temps, vu la taille, Bibliothèque : au calme, à l’écart, très fournie, peintres, livres anglais, etc… Vaisselle, linge de toilette à volonté, Grande cuisine et arrière cuisine avec un autre réfrigérateur, Le luxe : 4 grandes chambres avec chacune WC, lavabo double et grande douche. Calme et grandeur donc, à conseiller et y revenir.

Le charme d'une vielle bâtisse

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour en famille dans cette vielle bâtisse entièrement rénovée et possédant tous l'équipement nécessaire pour passer de bons moments. Le must de ce logement est la piscine, très bien exposée et dont nous avons profité tous les jours. Nous recommandons ce logement pour un séjour en famille.

Tout correspond à la description! Le séjour très vaste et bien décoré permet des réunions familiales très agréables. De la piscine et du jardin on aperçoit les monts d'Alaric qui font partie des Corbières. Tout cela contribue à un séjour plein de charme et tranquillité. Que demander de plus?

Belle et grande maison très bien équipée, nous y avons passé un agréable séjour. Le séjour est immense et bien décoré, c'est un plaisir de s'y retrouver à plusieurs familles. Du jardin et au bord de la piscine on aperçoit les montagnes des Corbières et ce qui semblerait être les monts d 'Alaric. Que demander de plus?

Maison spacieuse avec jolie piscine

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison spacieuse et bien équipée. Nous avons notamment apprécié le fait que chaque chambre dispose de sa salle de bain et l'espace piscine qui est très bien sécurisé quand on a des enfants en bas âge. Le site est très calme et la région superbe. Les propriétaires sont très disponibles pour tout renseignement sur la location, nous avons été très bien accueilli. Nous serions prêts à y revenir.

Très belle et vaste maison restaurée avec goût

Maison très agréable, avec de grands espaces, très bien équipée. Description et photos sont conformes à la réalité. Les propriétaires ont été très accueillants, disponibles et très réactifs aux quelques questions et remarques que nous avions. L'espace piscine est très agréable. Comme indiqué sur le site, la maison vient tout juste d'être rénovée (nous étions les premiers locataires), et quelques détails restent à régler (portes des salles de bain, espace ombragé autour de la piscine, aménagement des espaces extérieurs) mais celà n'a pas gêné notre séjour (grande transparence des propriétaires lors des contacts préalables). La région offre de nombreuses visites et activités pour occuper le sejour. La maison est situé tout près du centre d'un village qui dispose d'une boulangerie, supérette, centre médical et pharmacie, ce qui nous a été assez utile. En bref, nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances en famille et entre amis (8 adultes et 6 enfants), et je recommencerai vivement cette location à un ami!

In 2008 we started renovating this house where our grandfather was born and raised. From there on, every summer, family and friends offer their time and energy to advance in this huge project.

Today, it is a pretty house easy to live in for your vacation. Ideal to host several generations or a group of friends and their children.

The 4 big parental suites (bathroom and toilet each) allow a total independence. The living room and swimming pool offer the necessary space to share pleasant moments for a dozen people.
