Perfect location in the heart of Sarlat

The apartment is perfectly located in the centre of the old town with beautiful views from your windows. There are wonderful restaurants at your doorstep, a mini supermarket 2 mins walk away as well as the wonderful Saturday and Wednesday markets outside your door. Agnes and Antoine were very prompt to communicate and when we had trouble with the hot water in the shower they quickly organised a plumber. We loved our time in Sarlat which is an excellent base for exploring the fabulous Dordogne region.

Wonderful location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely apartment in such a beautiful medieval town. Comfortable beds and good cooking facilities. Great view of the street below. Parking is a short walk away but perfectly doable. Highly recommended! Top tip: the burgers at Rue Eat almost directly below the apartment are delicious!

In the Heart of Sarlat

This apartment is ideally located in the heart of medieval Sarlat. With free parking a short walk away, it makes for an excellent base for touring Dordogne. The apartment has big windows overlooking the ancient street, and is equipped in the kitchen if you want to cook. The owner was readily available to answer questions, although it would be helpful if there was an information book available which told you how to adjust the thermostat, unlock the stovetop and what was required at check out. We had already departed before we understood everything she would have liked us to do. You also need to bring your soap, shampoo and body wash. Overall, it was a very lovely stay in a beautiful region and I recommend this flat for your stay.

Such a wonderful apartment!

Amazing location right in the heart of Sarlat! Parking close by (and free!) is a nice bonus. Apt is clean and has fantastic views - Host is very nice and responsive. Highly recommend!!!

We loved the apartment! Our hosts were available promptly when I needed the Wifi password. Everything we needed was just steps away. The parking was close and free. We would gladly stay there again.

In the mediaeval heart - and soul - of Sarlat

The location - right across from the Office de Tourisme - is excellent for discovering the mediaeval city and a five-minute walk to Place Pasteur if you need to meet local guides for day trips in the area. Cafés, restaurants and a small grocery store are a stone’s throw away. Be sure to check the large cupboard in the living room for a wide variety of useful kitchen utensils, etc. You’ll thoroughly enjoy your stay here. Bon voyage

A gem (or truffle) in Sarlat

Charming apartment in the heart of Sarlat. Easy to check in and very clean, the nice surprise was that the apartment is larger than we expected and it is well equipped. 😀 There is a free parking lot less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment which makes it convenient. Since it is in the heart of Sarlat, it is close to all shops and very walkable. We enjoyed our short stay and wish we had stayed just a little bit longer. Really, it is another excuse to return to this magical place!

The apartment in Sarlat was fantastic. Agnes was nice to meet us and show us everything. It was very easy to find. Right in the middle of the old town Sarlat. The Dordogne region is wonderful as well. Highly recommend this medieval town for a base when exploring this region. Thank you Agnes for such a wonderful place to stay!

Perfect apartment in the centre of Sarlat

Excellent communication and very warm welcome from Agnes. This apartment is perfectly situated in the heart of Sarlat. Once you park your car you can walk everywhere in the town. Lots of restaurant choices nearby. Apartment was spotless and tastefully decorated. Bed and pull-out were comfortable. Beautiful view of the historic streets from the living room and bedroom windows. Would definitely recommend!

Good-sized and well-equipped gîte (for two) in a lovely old building with those big beautiful French windows opening out onto a pretty street in the heart of historic Sarlat. Sarlat absolutely perfect, didn’t know you could cram that many restaurants side-by-side in a town. Beautiful medieval town dating back to the 13th century, surrounded by other pretty villages built with the same iron-rich yellow limestone, though Sarlat eclipses them all. Open farmer’s market every day, big street market twice a week.

The apartment is in the heart of the historic city. Everything you need is there... and many restaurants. However, there are street performers and many people out until after midnight... so if the windows are open, will be noisy. We were there in extreme heat, and had to keep windows open at night. If you like the excitement, this is the place for you. Excellent host.

In the middle of it all!

In the middle of it all! You could not be more centrally located. From our windows we could look down directly on the pedestrian only streets of the medieval city, with vendors, musicians and pedestrians galore! This was late August, so things undoubtedly calm down a bit in September and onward. Agnes has a great contact, with lots of information and always available. We had a wonderful experience!

Amazing visit to Sarlat

This property is in the heart of the medieval city with easy access to restaurants, local sites and shopping. The rooms (bedroom, living room, kitchen and bath are spacious and well appointed. Agnes was kind enough to pick me up at the train station saving me the 15 minute walk at the end of a long travel day. Note that the apartment is located on the second floor up two flights of circular stairs. There is no elevator.

Great Sarlat-la-Caneda visit

We stayed in a nice one-bedroom apartment right on one of the main streets. The apartment had everything we needed. The owner was very friendly. Because we were on the third floor (American)/second floor (European) it was fun observing tour groups and shoppers going by. Sarlat is a picturesque village that is kept very clean. On Saturday mornings there is a large street market which has a wide variety of items for sale. From Sarlat you can take many fun sidetrips. We have been here twice before and would love to come back some day. We definitely would rent this apartment again.
