About this property
Renovated 1940's Cabin Located in a Peaceful Grand Lake Village Location
Must see! This adorable, knotty pine one-bedroom cabin is located within walking distance of downtown, Grand Lake, and RMNP. This 1940's cabin is loaded with historic character and located on a peaceful, aspen-filled lot within Grand Lake village. This quaint cabin has been renovated with fresh pine, but it's historic integrity has been maintained. (Please note that, because the integrity has been maintained, the doorways and beams are low for people approximately 6 feet tall and taller.) This charming cabin has a queen-size bed, separate living and kitchen areas, bath, cozy gas fireplace, and cable television. Gas stove and microwave available. Charcoal grill, fire pit, and sitting area located outside. Use the coffee-maker in the morning, or wander downtown to one of the local lake-side coffee shops. Perhaps just lounge in the outside seating area and watch for wildlife to wander through the area. **(Please note that the mountains are a host to MANY types of wildlife. Sometimes, despite our best efforts, unwanted wildlife such as chipmunks or mice can sometimes find their way into mountain cabins. If you are uncomfortable with this possibility, this vacation choice may not be the best for you.) This cabin's charm, quiet environment, and walking-distance proximity to town, the lake, and the Rocky Mountain National Park trailheads make it an easy choice for a vacation stay.
This cabin is held to a higher safety standard than cabins located outside of the village. It is inspected annually by the Grand Lake fire department.
Do you have family/friends who are also planning to vacation? We have two nearby charming cabins. (listing numbers 611187 and 899178).

Rebekah was awesome. The cabin had things we all need but are almost never provided. We loved the clean, cosiness and romanticism of it all. We loved it and will be back.
Looked very much like the pics. I did not think about the outside space and truly missed have a nice place outside to unwind. There are chairs and a table in the front yard, but no yard. It was kind of muddy. Host was very good and reached out to check on us.
The cabin was cozy and delightfully, creatively decorated. The ability to walk to Grand Lake and the close proximity to the Rocky Mountain National Park for hiking, sightseeing and elk watching made it an ideal location for us.
It was a beautiful setting for our Christmas this year . This was a dream for my wife to have a quiet setting to enjoy Christmas in a small mountain cabin. We attended a candle light service at a local church and thoroughly enjoyed the service and the folks we met. For me, the cabin more than I expected and very comfortable.
Beautiful and cosy cabin, very clean and well equipped. Grand lake is a stunning area to visit, much quieter than the other side of Rocky Mountain National Park but still lots of trails to do and things to enjoy
Enjoyed staying at this cute little cabin. All the comforts of home in a small package! Stayed for 2bdays while visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. Location provided easy access to the park as well as close to town. Would stay again if in the area.

Perfect cabin for me and my dog! We had a wonderful visit. Love the fireplace. Rebekah was a wonderful host and very prompt in replying to my questions. Also, enjoyed the thorough cabin handbook with lots of ideas from food, hikes, recreation, and a lot more.
Cute, cozy cabin!! Rebekah was very gracious and we ran into a little snafu and she went above and beyond to try and help us. Would definitely stay there again.
This is a great little rustic cabin, really perfect for two and of course, our little French Bulldog. It's walking distance to shops and restaurants and Grand Lake. Very clean. Check in very easy. Our whole stay was enjoyable. We enjoyed our fire circle at night. Was quiet and quaint. I would definitely rent again for another mountain retreat.

Very clean and comfortable little home away from home. Ina great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Also, very dog friendly!
We loved staying at this quaint little house. It's nestled in the trees so it feels private, and it's an easy to walk to the lake town. Taller people (6 feet) might struggle with the ceiling height/shower size, but you also might find that a few head bumps are worth it to stay in this cute spot!
My husband and I really enjoyed staying in this little charming cabin.

About the host
Hosted by Rebekah Wilson
We (Dan and Rebekah) were raised in the Kansas flatlands, but we each vacationed in Colorado while growing up. We finally made the leap to the high country 6 years ago, and we have taken full advantage of this giant playground ever since our move. Dan and Rebekah currently live in Windsor, located in northeast Colorado. Dan works in the medical field, and Rebekah retired from employment with this health system two years ago. She currently enjoys her work with a number of civic organizations, as well as master gardening, welding, and other hobbies. Dan and Rebekah enjoy every aspect of this wonderful Colorado environment. They are avid fly-fishermen, hunters, hikers, and general outdoorsmen. The couple enjoys a sizable amount of time in the mountains. Dan completed his due-diligence in investigating options for a mountain home. We wanted a location that would appeal to all ages, all year round, and we wanted activities that involved mountains, water, wildlife, and a community atmosphere. After looking at dozens of options, we found that Grand Lake met all of our needs.
Why they chose this property
We spend a sizable amount of time in the mountains. Dan completed his due-diligence in investigating options for a mountain home. We wanted a location that would appeal to all ages, all year round, and we wanted activities that involved mountains, water, wildlife, and a community. We have several children, and this location and property provides a central location for family members to walk or ride bikes to nearly every amenity within Grand Lake.
What makes this property unique
One look at this rustic cabin would help anyone understand why we purchased this home. It is nestled within aspen trees in a peaceful neighborhood - and it is within walking distance of downtown, Grand Lake and Rocky Mountain National Park. The interesting and charming aspects of this 1940s cabin have been maintained, including original beams and interior log siding. Enjoy the sliding interior barn doors. The recent renovations of the cabin were truly a labor of love - it is adorable. We purchased this cabin, as well as the cabin next door, as they belonged together in a 'Jack and Jill' cottage setting. If you have additional friends or family, consider renting both cabins!
